I live in Virginia with my husband and 2 children. I make pottery, but, thanks to Harry Potter, I have rediscovered a passion for writing.

Wow, this chapter has left a real lump in my throat. You made me feel Snape's passion here and I'm really struggling not to shed real tears for him and his selflessness. Well done! I really hope Hermione manages to figure out how to win this by getting her children AND losing Ron. Maybe Harry can be the savior here? I hope someone can.

. Lots of intervention will be needed before this story is over, but it will all work out for the best.
don't we all wish our men would describe us that way - HA! It was beautiful and I too, had a tear down my cheek after reading it.
Response from ClayPotter (Author of Secret Recipe)
Aaawww! Thanks so much. I wish my man would describe me that way too. I hope you also got a laugh out of the first part of the chapter. That's the only problem with ending on a low note, people tend to forget the fun stuff that happened before they got there.Oh well...
Ah, Ron's really beyond the dickhead stage, isn't he? Such heights (or depths) of insensitivity amaze me.Poor Snape..I hope Hermione can figure out some way to get her kids without Ron in the bargain.
Response from ClayPotter (Author of Secret Recipe)
Ron has his own scale when it comes to the "duh" factor. LOLThanks for reading and taking the time to review.
Great action and emotion. I love your story.

. True love is a rare and wonderful thing. I'm so glad you are enjoying the story. Love you too!
I nearly wet myself when Ron showed up at her house, thank you very much! LOL Please tell me that Ron will come around, and Hermione and Severus will get together, oh and one more thing...could we see them at least on a date or something? Not just "we'll be togehter" The End. I'm done begging, sorry. I love your story, it's wonderful. Don't feel obligated to answer all the rhetorical questions. It's really good, and I'm a big fan. That's the last thing I'm going to say.
Response from ClayPotter (Author of Secret Recipe)
I can't answer your questions because it will give too much away. I will let you know that their dreams about eachother get more vivid.Hope that helps to hold you over. Thanks for reading and taking the time to review.
I wouldn't take Ron back. But something needs to change.
Response from ClayPotter (Author of Secret Recipe)
Ron will get his, and believe me, Hermione is no longer his!
Oi - I hope she doesn't fall for Ron's crap! Seeing Snape like this is just too sad...
Response from ClayPotter (Author of Secret Recipe)
She's too smart to fall for Ron's crap.Snape's life is such a tragedy. But take heart. Things will eventually get better for both of them. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
Oh wow. This is sweet and I hope Severus has learned to give his own feelings a chance, rather than worrying about his duty all the time.Warm regards,Fizzabella
Response from ClayPotter (Author of Secret Recipe)
Severus' flawless logic will continue to win out over his heart for a while, I'm afraid. But there will be others who keep trying to push the two together. Thanks for reading and especially reviewing. The reviews keep me going.ClayPotter
My, that was heartbreaking Ron is such a moron! And he'll never change, I suppose. In my opinion, it's nearly impossible for Hermione to go back to him. So I'm eagerly waiting for the next chapter of your enjoyable story!

I can't wait to see what happens next. This story is great!
Response from ClayPotter (Author of Secret Recipe)
"Rock skipping lessons for Potter!" That's what is next!LOL
Heart-breaking for all involved.
Response from ClayPotter (Author of Secret Recipe)
This one started out in a humorous direction, but it ended sadly. I didn't really intend for that to happen, but I felt that, in the end, it was appropriate.
Snape needs to quit being so noble. Maybe Harry will spill his guts to Hermione. So does Ron really love her? Or is he just in love with the idea of them being together? I still vote for a tragic accident sending Ron to the great quidditch pitch in the sky.
Response from ClayPotter (Author of Secret Recipe)
Ron is in love with the idea that he could be married to someone as increadible as Hermione. But he doesn't appreciater her the way Severus does. He doesn't "get" her at all, and he doesn't feel any need to try. She is a trophy for him.But I'm not a violent or vindicative person, so Ron's payback will be of a non-violent nature. Sorry to disappoint you. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
That is real love. He is considering her best interests and her children's above his own. It's better this way, because when she does choose him, it will be of her own decision and all others problems won't matter. They will have been dealt with and nothing will be open-ended.Livvy
Response from ClayPotter (Author of Secret Recipe)
I couldn't agree more, Livvy. I'm so glad you see it that way. Thanks for taking the time to read and review. CP
OMG, that speech was amazing. And had Ron used it, Hermione would have seen right through it. I do hope he learns.
Response from ClayPotter (Author of Secret Recipe)
Although he is usually portrayed as cold and insensitive in the book series, I always felt that there was so much emotion lying just beneath the surface. It comes out a couple of times in the books, like when he finds Sirius, Lupin and the trio in the Shrieking Shack, and of course in the Pensieve memories that he give to Harry. When he falls, he falls hard. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
You were right. Rita is much, much worse. Excellent chapter! This has got to be hard on everyone. Wonder what Severus will have to say. :)

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond to your many reviews. I don't have access to a computer that I can use like this at work, and I can't answer your reviews with my cell phone. By the time I get home and do everything I need to do, I'm so exhausted that I usually just go to bed, so responses may take a while. I'm so glad you are enjoying my story.

Take your time! I read chapters a lot more quickly when I'm enjoying myself but I don't expect you to respond immediately. :) I won't be offended if it takes weeks. I might not even realize you haven't responded to everything. I like to read what authors have to say to me, but there is zero pressure. Whatever you can do, great and if I'm overwhelming you, don't feel you have to say something every time.

Poor Hugo and Poor Hermione! Wow, how creepy of Ron to use coercive spells. Bleh! That is nasty! I can't wait to read more. I'd be asleep now except for a wretched COUGH but at least I have something good to read while some medicine takes effect.

well hmpf! maybe Hermione can start her own school where she doesn't have to deal with constant verbal diarrhea!

Wizarding Britain is a small community. She would have to mover far away to get out from under her current dilemma. And that would be problematic for all involved. I can relate to your feelings, though. Thanks for the review.
Response from keske (Reviewer)
Aw. Yeh, I can see your point there...Let's give her some pretty orchids and some fancy chocolates then! just to brighten her days a bit!

Oh no poor Severus. So true about good news not traveling as fast as bad. Im hooked on this story can't wait to see how it turns out.

What we need is a REVOLUTION!!! That book needs to be eradicated or at least the counter spells made readily available. Its unconscienceable!!! Please tell me that is part of the future of this story?Squee for lunch with Harry. I like it when Snape and Harry can be civil even friendly.
Response from ClayPotter (Author of Secret Recipe)
Don't worry, the book will be dealt with by the end of the story. And I have always wanted to see Harry and Snape get along. It was, IMO, one of the big missed opportunities in book 7. JKR didnt' have to kill him off. She could have found a way for Harry and Snape to make peace and work together. A teaching opportunity wasted... But that's just my humble opinion. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
