Care of Magical Creatures recently received two awards on "Secrets of the Dark Vaults," a Russian fanfic site. Best NC-17 and Best Maxi Translation. The Nine-Year Plan was awarded Best Mini-Fic! I'm delighted to be in translation and to please the readers in Russia!

About Mia
I came to the world of Harry Potter relatively early, after first resisting it because it just seemed too trendy. But when the first book came out in paperback in the US I picked it up at the airport when I was about to catch a flight, and two chapters in knew I would be ordering the original from amazon.co.uk in hardcover as soon as I landed.
I came to fanfic late, waiting until after I'd read DH. That means I've been totally obsessed with the fanfic world of Harry Potter, and most specifically the SS/HG ship, since August of '07.
I'm helplessly and hopelessly hooked.

Just when you think Severus can't muck it up any worse, he then goes and screws the pooch! I hope to see some serious ass-kissing next chapter!

Interesting chapter as always. Can't wait to see how Sev will ultimately act due to his new anger/feelings/ego with regard to how he should treat Hermione. And even how or if he should approach her about what he knows of her plans - though I don't really see that being his style I guess. Looking forward to the next!!

Thanks for your comments! And yes, being forced to marry someone you don't even like is at the heart of the Marriage Law fics, and I think it stays popular because it provides such fun conflict.

I don't think it's deliberate. But he definitely took what she said and interpreted in the most Snape-centric way, because everything is all about Snape, of course. Heh.
Only getting worse before it gets better, isn't it? I'm hoping since you call it a romance, there will eventually be some.

Oh, this is fun! Well-written, everybody's in character, and Severus is swearing his head off. I hope you keep updating regularly, as I've become addicted. Hey, and Canadians are the best writers, eh? ;)

I have a lot of empathy for Severus. The things he does for ungrateful whelps!
Ohh, Sev's in a right mood. This doesn't bode well for Hermione. I wish she had someone to talk to...she seems so lonesome, having to try and form a relationship with Snape, while rebuilding the one with the Duo + Ginny. Gah, men. And what a speedy update this was...good thing I checked TPP before I went to sleep eh?

I am really enjoying this story, thanks so much for sharing it and for the quick updates! Love both your Severus and Hermoine (and the Hermoine backstory was a nice invention!) Can't wait to see what happens on Saturday night :)
