I really enjoyed this chapter, and got a chuckle out of Hermione starting to analyze the vows. If anyone can figure it out, she can!And I think Severus had a much needed mental shift, when he kept thinking about how Hermione was a silly, romantic girl, but then thought "she's the cleverest witch of her age." Maybe that thought will jar him out of his negative thoughts into a something more productive - I don't know if I'm explaining this clearly but it seems if he can move on and accept that they're bonded in an unexpected way, and that Hermione may be right that it's not a bad thing, then maybe that can be helpful to them (in the war as well as personally).  At any rate, I liked the way you wrote his thoughts and thought this was a good chapter (ok, they all are!), and am looking forward to the next one!

Well wasn't the marriage "vow" magic a good little twist. Heh! Kudos to you! I'm not big on the SS/HG ship but do enjoy delving into it once in a while. I started reading yours this week and have been glued to it every little spare moment I have had. I'm loving the humor and the way you have been torturing Severus and Hermione's emotions. The old sexual tension rollercoaster ride you have been treating us to is quite fun. Now you have us wondering... is it hormones, dark magic or just some weird development of love and respect between the two . Guess I'll go back to reading.

Hermione made some good points there, about the vows and the compulsions or not-compulsions. I'm interested to see where her analysis of the whole thing will take them.

Severus being summoned seems ominous, considering the previous chapter. I hope it's not anything horrible, but how likely is that? ;-) In any case, I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

I wonder why Voldemort summoned Severus. Hopefully not to tell Severus about a planned revel that includes Hermione. At least Severus and Hermione seem to be on okay terms after their "fight" in Dumbledore's office and afterwards. I am curious how long the contraceptive potion lasts. I am sure that Severus would be upset if he let himself get Hermione pregnant.

The ending of this chapter (the Summons, etc) was fantastic. 

May I respectfully suggest a "put your food down" warning?  The bit with Dobby nearly killed me; I had a mouthful of food and nearly choked on it I was laughing so hard!  ;) 

leave it to Hemione to list marriage vows and figure out 'muggle magic' lolo.  She is trying to so hard, I feel for the girl.

How can you say 'it's getting better and better' any other way than it's getting better and better.  Each chapter brings a new twist.  I can never guess what will happen next.  Wonderful story.  Very enjoyable to read.  Anticipating the results of Snape's summons.  Please don't keep us in suspense for too long.  Although, we, your faithful readers will try to patiently wait - not really, will you post the next chapter soon?

Severus is so tragically sad. I really love your story, and I'm still pushing for that happy ending.

Ah, I love the wizard's shaving soap. That was ingenious! At least they probably could have used a charm or a potion to fix Hermione's hair if it had been affected. Anyway, great idea!

Please tell me that this is going to turn positive sometime soon.  Do not get me wrong it is well and beautifully written it is just so desolate.  Severus deserves happiness and love.  He seems to be tearing himself apart more and more

This just gets better and better.  What an exquisite chapter (and the one before, as well - I've taken to re-reading the preceding one before savoring the new one, and you cannot write fast enough to suit me!).

You are managing the extraordinarily tricky task of keeping Severus in character as a snarky, difficult, complex, self-critical man, while also making the romance develop believably (slowly, excrutiatingly so!, but believably slowly!).  His internal monologue is beginning to make the turn that his external voice still cannot admit in actual words.

And this Hermione, who is continuing to learn so much and so much faster than her teacher, will, I think, have to be the one who will finally force them past the verbal formality of their means of addressing one another.  Though she still even thinks of him as "Professor Snape," she is on the verge of insisting on the equality that she is only just now becoming entitled to demand.  The next time she takes that face in her hands I think she must show him the power that comes with calling him by his first name.  All hell may break loose.  That's how powerful names can be.

And I can't wait until you write it!

Wow - great chapter, best one yet, I think. I loved the ending. But he still needs to stop calling her Miss Granger!

Poor Severus, he is fighting a losing battle! Just give in, dammit! Typical Hermione, she'd turn sex in to a lecture. LOL I can't beleive she had those words on the chalkboard! Oh my gosh! Keep up the good work.

Great story! update soon please. but I must say i cannot see what could be a problem whith muggle wedding vows in the wizarding world... (i understand about the "obeying" part, but loving and protecting can't be bad, tough)
