About Mia
I came to the world of Harry Potter relatively early, after first resisting it because it just seemed too trendy. But when the first book came out in paperback in the US I picked it up at the airport when I was about to catch a flight, and two chapters in knew I would be ordering the original from amazon.co.uk in hardcover as soon as I landed.
I came to fanfic late, waiting until after I'd read DH. That means I've been totally obsessed with the fanfic world of Harry Potter, and most specifically the SS/HG ship, since August of '07.
I'm helplessly and hopelessly hooked.

Eeewww.... Really? Father?? eeeewwwwww. But the Dark Lord gave him nothing but a replenisher to drink - that gives me hope. He gave him nothing that would blacken his soul forever. And why the hell did Severus betray DD AGAIN?? Why? When he had made it through - somehow unscathed? When the Dark Lord apparently did not know the full extent of his treachery? Why?? And he knew! He knew that nothing good would come of it. At least he seemed to know that this whole 'finding Miss Granger' bit was a wash, or at least wouldn't happen as quickly and certainly as he had hoped. So... why Severus? Why??And I understand him feeling his hands "filthy" and unworthy of ever touching her again, but SHE didn't say that. SHE may not believe that. I understand that he is certain that will be the case, but still - has he no faith in her love? Apparently not. It's like he sees their love as 'mutual' only in some kind of distant, matter-of-fact due to bonding, kind of way and not as a truly reciprocated act. I think, or it seems here, like he doesn't now, or maybe never truly felt that she really loved him with her whole being - even though I think he knows it in his bones - as if he just refuses to acknowledge it. I have to assume that is ultimately due to him refusing to believe himself worthy. Ugh!Okay... on to waiting anxiously for the next. LOL

I must take the habit to expect a major revelation in each of your chapters now. I've never been in stories in which Voldemort has a child, but this might just be the exception to confirm the rule.

Oh no! No!Oh my, Mia!Brilliant. Breathtaking. Marvellous. You are the Queen of Angst. I am still not thinking clearly, I fear. I didn't even dare to breath while reading this chapter, but this last part just killed me. And here I was waiting for you to make it better for them and now you have opened a new trap door to the next step of hell. And now I have no idea anymore how this could lead to any good in the end...I am amazed and scared to death to see their fate bound together like this, especially with Severus in this dangerous situation.I hope Voldemort is just deceiving Severus, if he isn't; what the hell did the old codger at Hogwarts knew of this *growl*

You have taken the already high-charged angst of this fic to new levels of anxiety and anticipation and now you have redefined the category. Angst is no longer a sufficent word to describe the emotion conveyed in this chapter.Well Done!

Dude. gasps for air.This chapter is so beautifully written, so clear in its imagery and in the way the reader is guided through the character's thought, so that we accept Severus's conclusions as if we are Severus... we cannot second guess him, even when we suspect he might be wrong. Truly, that kind of narrative authority is a gift. I'm afraid of where this is going, but it's a good kind of afraid.
