About Mia
I came to the world of Harry Potter relatively early, after first resisting it because it just seemed too trendy. But when the first book came out in paperback in the US I picked it up at the airport when I was about to catch a flight, and two chapters in knew I would be ordering the original from amazon.co.uk in hardcover as soon as I landed.
I came to fanfic late, waiting until after I'd read DH. That means I've been totally obsessed with the fanfic world of Harry Potter, and most specifically the SS/HG ship, since August of '07.
I'm helplessly and hopelessly hooked.

Holy Cow!!! *sputters* I would hate to be in Snape's postion right now. How will Hermione deal with this twist? OMG Harry and Ron will go ballistic if they find out that Voldie is Snape's daddy. *sputters some more* I can't wait until the next chapter.

This is becoming more powerful with each chapter you write. I have no words that can describe the way the story draws the reader in, except that you really, really, REALLY should be getting paid to write. Should you choose to publish something, your ability to build a world with words would make you a very rich lady. You have no need for your day job.....

Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!when you mentioned elfin crystal goblets in the 53 chapter i immediately thought :"is it a coincidence that the only thing that Severus has from his father is such a set? what role does it play? are the properties of elfin crystal such that they play a significant role or is it their existence only? or both in the end?and is Voldemport Severus' father? could he be? or am i overanalyzing and reading too much into this? and if he is, i better not mention my question in my review coz i will be ruining it!!"i thought that Voldemort being Severus' father was me being obsessed with your story and digging up clues that don't exist but it seems that i am not seeing things,right?when the e-mail alert came i was ecstatic!!!!!!!!!i started reading and ended up rereading it 3 times so here we go..they were so weak and tired and crying in their sleep bloody tears that i was crying too for their desperation and pain and not knowing if the other is ok and where he/she is....i really detested Bellatrix for asking: “What did you do?” she asked, her voice a seductive purr. “What did you do to win his favour?” and Hermione alone during all this,the pain unbearable and she needed him holding her as much as he needed her but no they are on their own,Severus with the Death Eaters breathing down his neck and being jealous and Voldemort watching his every move and the concern for Hermione eating him and Hermione dealing not only with the pain-like Severus-but the guilt of her betrayal and the doubt for her choice to proceed in that way and nothing to distract her from these feelings-oh how i long for them to be together again,whole...oh and the fact that she wet herself,she was that tired that she could not move or the need did not even register from the pain and everything?oh and: "She reached for a flannel but stopped. Did she really want to leave a bloody flannel behind when she left?"the fact that in the state that she is she has the strength to cover her tracks and think according to her plan is what gives me hope....she could not warm the water-at that point i stopped reading the first time because the tears where in the way,u know..i continued after a while and stopped again after i read this:" Trying to ease the hollow ache near her heart. Searching for his arms." they got in the way again-stupid tears falling when i need to finish the chapter and falling on my keyboard too...and then when Senerus goes at Spinner’s End and Voldemort comes and Severus says:" “Their attentions were rather… cloying,” he finally managed to say with a curl of his lip. " it made me smile,it gave me hope..oh and that they were dying had me screaming hurry up find her!!!!and then Severus told him about the renewal of the oaths and the order meeting and my gut tells me he did good even if it did not appear like that at first...and then Hermione she is so tired but she keeps going,amazing!!!ok 4 coins,one galleon from the DA,one from Luna so they can write to each other,the old halfpenny is the portkey but the twopence her grandmother had given her so very long ago we don't know what it is for....can you share with me what it is? if i am ruining future use of it,do not answer...if i said sth wrong,correct me plz!!!she tekes strength from his scented shaving soap-which reminds them and me of course happier days....oh and she is writing to Luna-i wonder what she tells her!!!can u tell me now? if i am ruining sth leave it..and thet we are at the meeting where all Hell breaks loose:and then Severus not standing and Voldemort telling him to rise-i had goosebumps...and then the fact that Bella recruited him on Voldemort's orders...i really hate Bella now!!and then:"The Dark Lord drank deeply of the water. "But Severusss, not only does he have an innate sense of giving me what I want, he even on this night dared show me what I wouldn't want to see. He is a brave man, our Severusss, and perhaps, foolish. Perhaps… not."that was the part where my hope grew that Severus did good by showing him the order meeting earlier..and then the realisation that Voldemort is his father,i worked it out for good along with Severus because the first time i usually am unable to think thoroughly about what i am reading and i could not believe my suspicion was true...and then Severus thoughts that he does not deserve Hermione made me sooo sad!!!!!!!!!!
the fact that they both betray the other in order to save and protect her/him is breathtaking and the way you wrote the last scene: He would do anything for her. Pain knifed up his legs as dropped to his knees yet again. For my wife. Pressed his lips to that sickly hand yet again. For my Miss Granger. And whispered one word. For my Hermione. “Father.” it blew me,i was openly crying and trying to get rid of the awful weight above my heart...i am not a person who cries easily but you really touched me,especially the For my wife,For my Miss Granger,For my Hermione part!!!!!!!!!!!Words can't express what you did in this chapter so that it is above amazing,brilliant and breathtaking!!I can only think one word: magic,i don't know how else to say it...So thanx again for sharing!!!!!!!!!!A big cheer to your betas,especially for GinnyW and her unique technniques-go girl,i am a COMC addict and i NEED the updates!!!Mia plz, pretty plz update soon,i am torn here like our heores!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!P.S. Well, the Dark Lord hasn't used Riddle in a long time. And Severus legally is a Snape, so for now, I think they're still Snapes, but I can't swear to anything in the future, the way this is going.

Oh... I... wow. ::blink:: Wow. I would never have... wow. Um. So. Severus Riddle? Um. Wow. That's... amazing, and fantastic, and... holy shit. I can't possibly imagine how she's going to take it... or how he's going to take it once the knowledge really settles in, once he's not planning and committed to survival... and goddamn he must take completely after his mother cause Tom Riddle was one good-looking sonofableep. You know, I can't remember where he says it, or what the Dark Lord says to him to make him say it, but there's one point where Severus actually makes that point. I need to go back and find it. Something about, "If you were my son..." And Sev responds about how he'd be handsome if he were, or something like that.
My brain, I don't know, I just can't hold everything in it.
But needless to say I've planted many little clues that this was coming, so many I don't even recall them all.
And now you know why I'm loving your fic so much. Angst, baby, angst.

Please come to my house and explain to my neighbors why I just SCREAMED OUT LOUD!!!A real "Luke, I am your father" moment, and even more startling! And yes, it does explain so much, including why he is still alive, and why Bella isn't in better graces with Voldemort (serves her bloody right, too!).And how will Hermione manage to do all she believes she must (I'm sure you/she will let us in on what in the hell she's got in mind!!) without her magic? How will the greatest witch of our age become a witch again?Much less a wife!This is truly amazing, woman! Fascinating how he believes he would do literally anything for her, but she would not.This whole soul magic concept is quite wonderful, too--you've taken Horcruxes and mixed in sacramental rites--magic from all sources, each gaining power from the other....I am not about to guess where you are taking us, I'm just hanging on for dear life, so lead on!!

What a mess! Twisting and turning from chapter one, never telling where you are going. Interesting all the way. Hard to follow, harder to remember previous twists, but interesting.

Wow! Severus being Voldemort's son was a totally unexpected twist! I feel badly for both Severus and Hermione. Hermione thought she was helping but it made it harder, and Severus is in a lose lose situation...I hope it all works out okay! I'm on the edge of my seat! I love the story and can't wait for more! It's wonderful, thank you so much for sharing it.

I used almost the same scenario in a fic I am working on at FF.net. I am amazed more folks haven't come up with that possibility. After all, it would explain so much.

Just when I think I can rest for a little and have some down-time at Hermione's house, you throw THAT at us. Holy crap.You, dear author, have a gift for this drama stuff. You write beautifully, and it's still believable without getting over-the-top melodramatic. I really, really can't wait for your next update. You're killing me!
