Two girls. Two Houses. One obsession.
In their final year at Hogwarts, two very different girls face their own battle with the continuing rise of the Dark Lord, encountering along the way shattered friendships, broken hearts, a charming blond Death Eater with a twisted plan, and a secret that could rock the foundations of the Wizarding world. Once more, the stern Potions master will have to do the impossible and offer his protection. Will he succeed?
Set during Harry Potter and The Order Of The Phoenix and mostly canon compliant.

A Slytherin (morgaine_dulac) and a Ravenclaw (star_girl) met through a mutual love of the brooding Potions master. They discovered they enjoyed writing seperately, but thought joining forces could be even more fun. Are they bat-shit-crazy? Well, you'll have to wait and see...

Reviews for Star Sisters
Wonderful job. Your story was actually enjoyable read. Your character development and portrayal of emotions was especially well done. You're both talented others, and together you are bloody brilliant! I look forward to the second part of the story.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
We're so glad you enjoyed this story. We wrote it without any plan whatsoever in the start and had no idea how it would work out. We've had thoughts about going back to polish the plot and fill in all the plot holes, but as you've noticed, we wrote a Part 2 instead, which we hope you will enjoy. Thanks for reading! :)
Wow that was intense. I smiled the glee as the Dark lord punished the blonde menace. Ahhh, bedtime stories with Severus. I loved that. Perfect way to end the chapter.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
There is so much to enjoy in this chapter, and so much to regret.
This chapter was like watching a train wreck about ready to happen. You know Zambini is going to be A complete cad in the end, But there's nothing you can do to stop it. All you can do is read on while trying to cover your eyes at the same time. I hope someone steps on the same serve, But there's nothing you can do to stop it. All you can do is read on while trying to cover your eyes at the same time. I hope someone And save her before she does something she will regret forever.

"All you can do is read on while trying to cover your eyes at the same time." That description kind of fits the whole story. We're very glad you're enjoying it. :-)
Poor Sev. He is trying so hard to be noble, but it's gotta be difficult for anyone in his situation. Great chapter.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
You cannot imagine how many times at least one of us writers tried to make Severus be anything but noble. It was quite a struggle.
Well that was really dickish of Severus. Quite that bastard I how he behaved. But I guess we will see where this goes. Your writing is wonderfully done and really grabs the reader. It just made me want to grab Severus by the throat and throttle him.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
One of the writers is now having naughty ideas that involve Severus and throttling. Down, Muse. Down! ;-)
Ah, neive little girls thinking he wouldn't know what they were up to. This is a wonderful start. I am really looking forward to your story.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Oh, this brings back fond memories! Hours in front of the computer, chats that went on way past midnight, and then the crazy idea of "Hey, let's make a real story out of this." Good times. Really good times!
Oh god I want a croissant. Chocolate preferably. But enough on food. Both of the girls are so undeniably teenage and nieve. Lust does not equal love. Just because he says and acts sweet doesn't mean he is not lying. While they might be having mind blowing organs, I want to shake some sense into both of them. But alas, at that age I would have acted the same way. I hope they can some how survive these situations without too much heartbreak in the end.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
We ALL want chocolate croissants!! In some ways, it was quite liberating to write about naive teenage girls for once, since you can let them make ALL the mistakes. At the same time, it was rather cringeworthy at times, and the writers wanted to step in and take some "parental responsibility". But we let them make their mistakes, and the we cleaned up the wreckage.
Talk about playing with fire. She is gonna get burned as if she keeps this up.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Silly little girl, that one.
Enjoyed the story. Thanks!
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
THANK YOU for reading til the end!
Well I had been expecting this since Morgana smelled roses in the bubblebath. At least Snape doesn't have to choose now!
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
It doesn't end here...
What an amasing story. I came upon it after it was compleated and whas able to read it in it's entirty. Now I will be starting to read part two as far as it has progressed. Please keep the updates coming.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Thank you, we're thrilled you enjoyed it and we hope you'll enjoy the sequel just as much.

Thank you again :)
Wow, what a great story! It took me longer to read, than I had planned, but I enjoyed it and can't wait to read part 2!
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
We're thrilled you stuck with til the end, it was a beast of HBP proportions!
LUCIUS! Oh no he didn't!! And who wouldn't want to have Snape read a bedtime story.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Snape could read me the telephone catalogue, I'd listen! And Lucius is as bat-shit crazy as his sister-in-law. It's all those years of inbreeding.
Lucius... Now I've been almost rooting for him for quite a few chapters (the man sure knows what he's doing) and then he goes and spoils it all by turning back to being a class A prick! I hope he's not too pissed at Morgana and Snape, but he DID interrupt something important. And Snape! Pull your act together man!
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
We would have loved to let Snape beat the crap out of Lucius in this chapter. But alas, it seemed so off-canon!
But you know Snape; he always saves the day in the end.
Oh wow - so far SOOOOO good! I see why I was told to read this fic! Chapter 4 = ♥ ♥ ♥ I like my Bellatrix like I like my looneys: Deranged and dangerous. And OMG SEXY Bellatrix too! I do not like Lucius one bit in this fic so far. Which is highly unusual, but he's a nasty piece of ----! Good thing I still have so many chapters to go, 'cause this is good!
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Isn't Lucius being a nasty piece of ... part of his charm? And don't we all love him for it? We hope that the more you read, the better you find the story... it certainly felt like that as authors.
Love it.......
Can't wait for the next installment...are you going to write it?
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
We are very much planning to write it. However, plot bunnies with rabies have attacked out ankles and we need to fight them off first. Hoping to get back to the Star Sister soon, though.
Glad you enjoyed part one, and we hope to see you here again.
very enjoyable. looking forward to part 2
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
So glad you liked it. Welcome back for Part 2. :)
Dumbledore has a role mapped out for everyone in the war with Voldemort, and I have no doubt that Charis, Morgana, and Severus, and Harry, Ron and Hermione will find themselves in the thick of things. Even now, before the Star Sisters have left the castle, he has written letters to them inviting them (I think) to join the Order of the Phoenix. Severus would just as soon "his girls" be left out of this particular club, but he knows that will not happen.
Seeing the emotions that Charis and Morgana have had to deal with at the end of their Hogwarts days was bittersweet. Charis is scared for the future. The coming war coupled with the knowledge that Sirius had been killed by the same cousin that had nearly killed her was terrifying to contemplate. Just as bad is her fear of losing contact with her "sister" and her Potions Master. I wish she had been able to make herself go to the dungeons to say farewell to Severus, but I could understand how it might have been too difficult. And after reading his thoughts on not being able to say goodbye, it was probably best. Surely she will see him somewhere, sometime. Whether she sees him or not, he will be seeing her.
Morgana's thoughts on this, her final day at Hogwarts, made me so sad. She too is already missing the only home she has really known; how very much like Severus she is in regards to the path that life has given her to tread. Though she will not miss her housemates, she will very much miss Charis and Snape. Even though she will miss her best friend, she could not bring herself to say goodbye. The emotion that she had shared with Charis in the Room of Requirement had scared her so badly that she was afraid to say goodbye, afraid to feel that much emotion all at once.
I'm a bit worried about Morgana having to stay in the room at the corner of Diagon and Knockturn Alley. Dodgy, indeed. And downright dangerous. I feel better knowing that Silvy has insisted that she come with her Mistress wherever she goes, and Severus will be able to keep on eye out for her, too.
Severus has braved the cold winds at the top of the Astronomy Tower just so he could see "his girls" as they leave the castle for the las time. He had been able to speak with Morgana, but I really wish he had been able to say goodbye to Charis. He most probably would have been his gruff self, so perhaps it was just as well. One thing that he did do that made me happy was to get Silvy to secret away the charmed mirrors in the girls luggage. I'm sure they will be shocked and delighted when they discover them and realize they can talk to each other, and of course they will not know that Severus will be able to keep an eye on them.
His regret was sad at not having apologized to them for his lack of control and that he couldn't protect them from the awful things that had happened to them, but it had made him feel better to see them embrace each other and walk to the station together. And knowing that he will see them soon— whether or not they see him— cheered him. I found it very telling that his thoughts also included musing that when he saw them again he would not be their professor, and they would not be his students. Could this mean what I think it means???
I have to tell you that I nearly had apoplexy when I saw "Epilogue!" I wanted to cry because I thought this was the complete end to this wonderful story. Thank you, thank you, thank you for telling us there will be a Part Two. I am primarily a Severus/Hermione shipper, but "Star Sisters" had captured my attention and my heart from the beginning. What will the name of the sequel? Maybe you don't even know yet, but I want to be sure to see it when you begin posting it.
Please tell Apple Blossom thank you for me for giving you "the courage to post this to a wider audience in the first place." I have adored your story, and I can't wait to see where you will take these fabulous characters in Part Two. Both of you ladies have done a smashing job of telling an engrossing story and bewitching this reader! A Thousand Points to Your Houses! Now what are you waiting for? Get busy writing. Chop chop.
Lots of hugs,Beth
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
The girls will both be working for the Ministry and have access to information Dumbeldore and the Order can use. They will be useful allies.
Question is, will they both willingly play along? It was hard indeed for both girls to say goodbye, especially with Voldemort's spectre now looming over both of their futures. Charis will probably regret not summoning the courage to say goodbye to Snape personally, but as you rightly said, they will indeed see each other again.
The girls will, of course, see each other again soon, too, but first they have some things they need to work through on their own, not al least Morgana ... in that dodgy room right at the corner of Knockturn Alley. As for Snape, you know canon, he has a busy year ahead of himself.
We are very glad that we managed to capture your interest for two OCs. Thank you for all your support and kind reviews. You have made at least one of us well up with your kindness. And we send you hugs right back!
Hopefully, you (and we) will not have to wait too long for Part 2.
Good insight into Dumbledore, Snape, Charis and Morgana's thoughts. Of course this is no goodbye for the girls, just a farewell.I found it so appropriate for Morgana to rent a flat right at the corner of Diagon and Knockturn. The metaphor is very significant.Every good thing must come to an end, and you chose a fine moment to end part one. I'll be looking forward to part two.I'll miss you in the meantime.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
We will miss your reviews, dear Crystal, and we're so pleased you stuck with us the whole way through. We'll try not to keep you waiting too long!
This has been one of my favorite stories, and I read each installment eagerly! Thanks for continuing the tale. One unanswered question: about the illnesses experienced during the pregnancy? Was it just her body/spirit fighting against the potential evil of Lucius' child? Did he subconsciously want her to misscarry? Ah well, thank you again, and WELL DONE!!!
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Thank YOU for sticking with us and the story. We hope that Part 2 will hold the answers to your questions. See you around.
I'm so glad there is going to be a part 2. When I saw the story marked as completed, I was surprised because there seemed to be way too much to wrap up so quickly. I've enjoyed part 1 and am looking forward to following the girls and Severus into the next phases of their lives. Thank you for an interesting (and regularly updated!) story.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Thank you for sticking with us til the end. We know there are some questions left unanswered, all will be revealed is all we can say.
Hope to see you around.
Oh, endings... They are so sad and yet so full of possibility. I'm glad you have more adventures in store for the girls in future. Otherwise there would be tarring and feathering involved. At present, I'll be thinking about what Snape will be doing with his mirror. : ) Lovely story ladies. On serious pins and needles until Part 2 arrives.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Ehm, you wouldn't have any naughty thoughts about Snape and the mirror, would you? Hehe. Possibilities indeed!Thank you for staying with us for
40 chapters, we hope not to make you wait too long for part 2 and hope you enjoy that just as much.
While I didn't expect this, it didn't surprise me either. Now I'm thinking of all the possible scenarios that could lead to Snape finding out about them.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
We promise we'll let Snape find out eventually. Until then, would you like to share your scenarios?Thank you for staying with us for 40 chapters.
Well, that was a surprise, but after what Charis and Morgana have been through for the last few hours, I guess you take comfort where you can find it. And I'm fairly certain that right now the only people that either of them feel they can trust is each other... so what happens now?Soon they will graduate, and then I suspect that all hell will break loose for Severus. How will he be able to keep an eye on them, assure himself that they are safe? And what if he thinks Dumbledore's plans for "his girls" are foolhardy and liable to cause them injury or death? I have no doubt that he would hex Dumbles into next week to protect the young women he has come to care so deeply about.I wonder how Draco will act when he comes back from the Manor. With Lucius in Azkaban, will Narcissa welcome Charis to her family? Will Harry feel a little closer to Charis because she was Sirius' cousin? Will Morgana and Charis be able to see each other often after graduation? I think the girls will need each other more than ever after they leave Hogwarts. With the storm that is on the horizon, I can't believe they'll be able to weather it all without each other and Severus.Great chapter, ladies. I'm on tenterhooks waiting to find out what will happen next.Beth
