Two girls. Two Houses. One obsession.
In their final year at Hogwarts, two very different girls face their own battle with the continuing rise of the Dark Lord, encountering along the way shattered friendships, broken hearts, a charming blond Death Eater with a twisted plan, and a secret that could rock the foundations of the Wizarding world. Once more, the stern Potions master will have to do the impossible and offer his protection. Will he succeed?

A Slytherin (morgaine_dulac) and a Ravenclaw (star_girl) met through a mutual love of the brooding Potions master. They discovered they enjoyed writing seperately, but thought joining forces could be even more fun. Are they bat-shit-crazy? Well, you'll have to wait and see...

Tell Snape, Morgana! :)
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Just as stubborn as her Head of House that one. Talking? About feelings? PHA!Cheers. /S&M
Oh my, what more trouble can Morgana bring down on herself besides all that happened at Malfoy Manor? She is playing a dangerous game, but I'm not sure I understand everything... apparently she is trying to find proof that Lucius killed her parents, and she is trying to seduce her Potions master... all by having a tryst with Bellatrix Lastrange? This can only lead to misery and more misery I'm afraid. And what of poor Charis? She is wise enough to know that what she wants with Severus is love not just sex. These girls are going to have some sad times, and probably Severus will, too. This was a great chapter. I'm looking forward to your next update!Beth
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Morgana is not thinking straight at the moment. Let's put it that way. Touching Bella ... ew!And Charis, well there's another one having troubles thinking properly.Let's not even talk about Snape! It's going to be a rough ride for them all. Hang on tight, is all we can say!Cheers. /S&M
Lovely chapter... I'm happy that Morgana thought better of her little interlude at Malfoy's. The back story is leaving me on edge. Snape must be frustrated too. Sigh. Can't wait for the next chapter.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Frustrated is one word!Next chapter should be up shortly.Cheers. /S&M
For someone who is determined to seduce her Potions master, Morgana was playing a dangerous game. Bella's mind-game seduction of Morgana was nearly complete, but in the nick of time Severus whisked her away from Lucius... this time. I'm sure there will be another time, but I'm not so sure Morgana will find herself spared the dubious pleasure of a Menage-a-Trois sans Snape.I don't know where this story will take us, but it is too good not to follow along to find out! Well done, again!Beth
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
It will be a rollercoaster! Buckle up.
Poor Charis. She honestly told Professor Snape the answers to his questions, and then after "performing" for him, he coldly dismissed her. Live and learn, I suppose. What I'm unsure about is what was really going through Severus' mind... after all he became aroused by her fantasy.Hummmmm... I'll have to give this more thought. Yes, more thought. In my dreams? LOL!You ladies are penning a totally different and completely bewitching tale. Well done!Beth
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
The dear Professor has morals ... stuffed inside his robes. Or is that his wand?So glad you're enjoying this!
LOL!!! 'And you know what they say about good witches going to heaven and bad witches going anywhere they want.’ This line is worth five stars alone, and the rest of the chapter another five!In musing about the two girls, Severus seemed more drawn to Charis' demeanor and more concerned by Morgana's "in your face" attitude. Which of the girls will he find more worthy of attention... sexual or otherwise?A very nice chapter. Very nice!Beth
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
They might just have to share the dear man ... With the rest of us.Question is: can he keep his wand in his trousers? Thanks for the stars!
What a deliciously suggestive beginning! I can't wait to see where you take Morgana, Charis, and of course, Severus Snape, the object of their shared desire.I love the pact they have made, to wit, "They would seduce him, use him and then walk away from him with their heads held high, never looking back." A very laudable plan indeed... there is only one thing wrong with it... I don't think any witch could know the Potion Master's erotic attentions and "then walk away from him with their heads held high, never looking back." That part is pure fantasy! That's my story and I'm sticking to it! LOL!I've only read the first chapter and already I'm hooked!Beth
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
We totally agree with you. Who would WANT to walk away?? We'd never leave his bed. Or his dungeon. Or the inside of his trousers ...Cheers./sevs_starsisters
About time he stopped watching and did something! :)
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
We think that both girls would just LOVE him to do something ;-)/sevs_starsisters
Oh, I love the Lucius and Morgana interaction. It's lovely. And Bella is so very...Bella, I suppose. I like to think of her like that, completely mental and seductive. And Severus still being the voyeur. It's all mapping out quite well. Keep up the good work!
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
If you think the interaction between Lucius and Morgana is lovely now, then stay tuned for chapter 11 :-)Thanks for taking the time to read and review./sevs_starsisters
More! More!
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
More is on the way. Hope you'll like it. It's going to be epic!S&M
I can just see the potential in this story. Your style is compelling and I want to read more. Great start.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Yay, we've got you hooked ;-)The story is a WIP we are continually looking for ways to improve and add things. We sincerely hope you'll enjoy it as it continues to grow.S&M
This is setting up to be one fascinating tale... I wonder what Severus's preference will be, if any. Your writing is wonderful. I cannot wait to read more!
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
We take a deep bow and hope you'll like where the story is going as we are still hacking at it like a lumberjack with a piece of wood :-PS&M
Hmm so just how far does their close friendship go, eh? I suspect that when it comes down to it they will be unwilling to totally share! I don't think I need to be Sybil Trelawny to see heartbreak on the way for all concerned!I'm glad that you got this posted and I'm really looking forward to seeing where it goes. (Just reading the list of warnings at the top was a novel in itself - we've obviously all got much to look forward to!!) :-)
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
You know us, sevvy. We need all those warning since our minds are firmly in the gutter and we are bat shit crazy. And as far sharing the dear Potions master is concerned: who would want to share??S&M
Very interesting. I'm anxious to see where you're headed!
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
You have every right to be anxious. And we are, too ;-)Thanks for reading. Hope you stay with it.S&M
Talk about mixed messages! :)
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Yep, we've created one big mess! And we're enjoying it immensly.
I can understand why Morgana was upset with Lily. All that work gone for naught, but it was terribly funny to watch Draco make a fool of himself with Blaise. Funnier still was that Zabini told every one at the Slytherin table that Draco had told him that he loved him. It was a lucky thing for the boys that Severus was in his office and had the antidote. I noticed that Pansy hadn't thought it was very funny though.Even though Morgana and Charis had to serve a detention that they did not deserve, it enabled them to find Lily and earn a "thank you" from the Potions Master. Even after they had left the dungeons, the scent of roses and honey lingered long after. I wonder who Severus thought of as he breathed in these delicate scents?Nice thoughts to carry into my dreams. Sleep tight, ladies.Beth
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
*tip-toe out of the room to let braye and Severus have their dreams in peace*
That was a nice chapter. And I loved the part about Voldemort having standards.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
hehe, we liked that line, too.Glad you enjoyed the chapter. Cheers.
The kitten wanted to know if he liked to cuddle? SO cute and funny. I am still laughing and will probably never stop. I hope Morgana gets over her funk soon. Poor thing. Yeah for more Charis-Morgana friendship moments. And for Snape's dirty thoughts. Lovely as always. : )
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Laughing is healthy. Glad we could help.
And we hope we will be able to give you more of Snape's dirty thoughts and lovely moments between the two girls.Cheers.
Sorry for not checking your story lately. I've been reading Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol in whatever spare times I can get. Not that he's better than you, of course. As I've always written, I love your writing style and the care you give to details. You have touched in this chapter one of my concerns: How does Snape take the friendship between Charis and Jack? It looks like Jack really loves Charis in a romantic way, but part of her heart still seems to belong to Snape. And then Snape seems to be readjusting to the role he should take as an elder. From my comment to last chapter, I can confess that I thought that the idea of getting him drunk would be to put him in a position to abuse Charis again. However that didn't happen, which is good, from my point of view, since he'd have regretted it.The scene at Ollivander's was great.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Once again, you bestow us with wonderful praise and we are thrilled to have lured you back from Dan Brown!
Both our Slytherins are very jealous of Jack, seems to be a House trait.
You are right, if Snape had used Charis again, he would not have forgiven himself. He is still giving himself a hard time about how he has treated both of the girls but as usual does not know how to show it.
The Ollivander's scene was great fun to write, we're so pleased you enjoyed it.
It seems that our surly Potions Master's mood had improved considerably since he woke this morning. I had wondered if he would purchase the magical mirrors for "his girls." Apparently he did. Will he give give them to Charis and Morgana soon? Or after their NEWTs? Or just before they leave Hogwarts for the last time as students?
My heart ached for Morgana as she looked at the serpent earrings and remembered how much she had cared for Lucius. Even after all that happened because of Lucius, she still finds herself drawn to him. Surely the knowledge that she had been a fool to have fallen for his seduction makes her feel... stupid, among other things. I hope Severus will be able to keep an eye on her, keep her safe. But I imagine that's one of the reasons he bought the mirrors.
But now that I think on it, you dear authors, did not say exactly what he had bought from Dervish & Banges, so I wonder if it could have been not a pair of two-way mirrors, but three mirrors. Two mirrors that are charmed to let the girls see and talk to each other, and a third mirror charmed to let Severus see "his girls?" Hummm. My imagination may be running away with me now, but anything is possible.
I'm happy to see Jack doing so well, and his visit with Charis seemed to be just what the Healer ordered. Somehow I got the feeling that his feelings for Charis are greater than Charis' feelings for him. She most assuredly loves him, but I am certain that her heart belongs to Severus.
Ah, Severus. His thoughts of the coming end of the school year were almost painful to read. Wistful in the extreme. "Soon, it wouldn’t be wrong anymore if he noticed the scent of their perfume, or the soft curve of their hips... Yes, soon, many things would be changing, Snape thought as he watched the owl in flight. And once more, he would be powerless to stop any of it." But I have faith in our Severus. Somehow he makes the impossible seem possible.
Oh how I love this story!Beth
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Whatever happens to the mirrors and how many they are, is our secret for the time being. But we love that we have fired your imagination.Jack is a complete star, we liked him too much to kill him. And yes, Charis still holds feelings for the surly Potions master.
Oh the mess we have created ...
And oh how we love your reviews!
Love your story and Snape with a kitten, priceless. Morgana and Charis feel so real as characters. Its such a shame that Dumbles was always a macromanager of things, if he micromanaged once in a while he might have had some better results.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Thank you for taking the time to review, and for the huge compliment regarding Charis and Morgana. We hope you stick with both us and them til the end of the story.
Thank heavens that opening proved false, or I'd have cried and cried about Charis. And a million happy points for Snape + kitty cat. SO cute. You ladies made my day. :)
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Cried only about Charis?? Now Morgana feels overlooked. So does Snape :P
We're glad the kitten scene made you smile. It's good to bring some light into the darkness.
That was a sweet chapter. Very reassuring. On the other hand, I fear for Jack’s life. I’m afraid certain writers may wish to get rid of him in order to leave the field open for Snape. I hold you responsible for whatever may happen to him :-)
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Hey! We happen to like Jack!!
But we can't tell you what happens, or that would spoil it, wouldn't it?
So the chapter title is genius. I love the many facets of Severus's character. He's a good guy deep down. Can't wait for more!!!
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Of course he is a good guy deep down, he just does not get the opportunity to show it very often.More is on its way. We're so glad you are enjoying this and thank you for your kind words.
It seems that Morgana's return to Potions class didn't turn out like she had expected. In her eagerness to return to Severus' class she had not considered that Charis would be there, too.
I think the way Severus handled his explanation to Charis about Morgana's reaction was the perfect illustration of the way to "handle a Slytherin." Not only did he give Charis advice about her friend, he as good as told her about himself. When he quietly entered her mind he found not only her hurt feelings, he saw that she still felt admiration and affection for him. Instead of anger towards him, which she had every right to feel, he found that she still cared for him, that she was a brave and loyal woman who would not easily give up on those she cared about. Although Severus was relieved to know that he still had a chance with Charis, he curbed any instinct he had to press his advantage and begged her not to give up on her friend.
For herself, Charis realized that Severus was not the cold hearted bastard everyone believed him to be. He was hurting, too. He was afraid of letting anyone get too close to him, afraid of offering his heart because he was afraid of being hurt. And he had told her "how to handle a Slytherin." She is not a fool, and I am certain Severus' talk about Slytherins was not lost on her as it related to their relationship. While she is primarily interested in supporting Morgana now, thoughts of Severus Snape are always there in the back of her mind. I wonder what she wrote in her note to Morgana. Sending the star necklace she had made for her friend is probably the best way to lay the foundation for renewing their friendship. The seed will be planted, and Morgana will know that Charis will be there for her when she is ready.
I was delighted to see that "dear Bollockchops" was absent from Hogwarts, but Charis' suspicion that it had much to do with Morgana's miscarriage was a bit off the mark. He is probably back at Malfoy Manor trying to plan a midnight raid on the Department of Mysteries that will not get himself killed. Sweat, Lucius, sweat! Oh this is so delicious!
I found Draco's behavior at breakfast was a bit too jolly for him to have found out about his father's escapade and subsequent humiliation before Voldemort. Soon. Soon he will know something is profoundly amiss when dear ol' dad is sent to Azkaban. And of course, the little twit will blame Charis. Some things never change, and Draco's perpetual case of "blinders" will not allow him to have an original thought on the matter.
Another very good chapter, ladies, and I can't wait to find out what Jack and Charis find out from the registrars, what Severus will do in the coming days about his realization that Charis still cares for him, and what Draco will do when his house of cards comes falling down.Beth
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Maybe Snape should write a manual "Slytherins for Dummies"? It would save everyone a lot of heartache and headache. And dear Draco knows nothing of Daddy's indiscretion or affair - he has not yet taken the Mark. He will soon find out that Voldy is displeased when he hears about it from Aunt Bella over Easter, I'm sure. But he won't know why.Read more to find out ...And once again: thanks for a wonderful review!
Response from braye27 (Reviewer)
"Slytherins for Dummies" Since you two are very capable of writing both angst and humor, I think that should be your next project... perhaps Severus' version and one from Hermione's POV.Yes, that would be a worthy endeavor. Hop to it. Chop chop.
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Erm, we don't know how to break it to you, Beth ... but neither of us are fans of the "bushy-haired know-it-all", at least, not in ship! The chances of us writing anything from her POV are rather slim. (When it concerns lusting after the professor, in any case.)
Response from braye27 (Reviewer)
That's cool. Severus' book would be perfect.*iz shameless*
Response from sevs_starsisters (Author of Star Sisters)
Aren't we all? Shameless that is. Especially when it comes to a certain Potions master. ;-)
