I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

Hm...I wonder who the person is that's contacting Umbridge, though they really should have chosen someone else, she's useless.I look forward to seeing what happens next...I don't think they'll win the trial, because we have spell introduced, but I will be interested in seeing how things unfold after it.Looking forward to the next chapter, keep up the good work. =)

She is rather useles, but she will do her part in this, as you'll see. He should have chosen another, but he needed a Ministry worker, and she's corruptible. Anyone who would attempt to use an unforgivable to question a mere boy is capable of anything.
oh ho...the thot plickens. great update. i can't wait to see what's next. thanks so much
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Thank you! Yes, there's a bit of thickening of plot here. As you see, it's not just a biased Ministry that is hard at work to punish Severus.
Liking the start of this! I never read the Hollow Man challenges, but this sounds most intriguing (although part of me hopes the snarky Potions master doesn't lose his personality lol). Good start and I look forward to the rest. :)

Thanks! I think that the concept of such a punishment is horrible, but, as you said, intriguing. You'll see just what Severus loses in due time.
I wonder what Snape has done to warrant that amount of hatred from Dolores. And of course I wonder who that polyjouced boy might be. Hmm ...I really like how their perspective of each other is changing.Good work!

Thank you so much!I think with Umbridge, it's just... her! She likes to be in charge and the DE's definitely took charge themselves. She hates Severus because he was a DE. He never did anything to her personally. He 'broke the rules' which she lives by and 'got away with it' especially in the first war. She wants him punished for all of his deeds and she's evil enough to gloat in the thought of him being basically banished from his body. Or at least unable to control it.Now, the polyjuiced boy... can't really say...Glad you like Hermione and Severus' budding feelings. They certainly don't know what to make of them!
I really like this story, the budding tension bedween them is very much intriguing. Thank you for sharing! I'm looking forward to an update.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
I'm glad you like the tension. I was hoping it didn't feel rushed, but with the obvious way this is going to go for a while, it kind of had to be quick realizations on both their parts.
Wow, what great start to a very promising story! I'm so glad I started reading. Great work, give me more!! Please?

Thanks! I'm glad you found it. I'll get more up soon!
Thank you so much for the update! I hope you will have a suitable punishment for Dolores during this story? I want her humiliated and hurting.....:-))
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Humiliated and hurting. It may take a bit, but I think maybe that can be arranged. Thanks for the review!
Dolores is such a nasty piece of work! :)
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Yes, she really is. I really don't think she has any redeeming qualities... unless you like the color pink.
Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
Ermmm... yes!
This looks promising.I'm looking forward to more!Angela~~

Thank you! I hope you continue to like it.
I am really intrigued to see where you take this story. It is off to a good start. Hmmmm....where is Dumbledore?Great job!
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Where is he indeed! That will be answered later... much later. Thanks!
Ooh, I love Hollow Man fics. You're off to a good start here; I definitely enjoyed reading this. Thank you for posting it, Cat

I hope you continue to enjoy it as it progresses. I was happy to see this as a challenge option, as I really love the premise.

Thanks.
This is a great start to answer this challenge. I'm a bit "saddened" because since you are answering the "Hollow Man Challenge," I know he'll be done dirty by the Wizengamot. I hope she can help him though (and that those mofos get theirs). I'm curious about Dumbledore. Has he gone dotty? LOL Not that he wasn't before... He'd left his wand behind because he knew Harry would need it? (I'm just thinking about canon since we know Voldie broke into his tomb.)
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Well, that might have been the reason why Dumbledore left the wand behind. Can't really go into that yet. Ask me again later. Of course, he's been dotty for years, but he can certainly pit everyone against each other. (Not that I'm implying he's doing that here. You'll have to wait and see what's up with the ol' bugger.)I too am saddened that things won't go well for a while. There will be more than just a biased Wizengamot, also. That will become clearer in the next chapter.
Given the nature of the challenge you are revisiting, I don't think they will be able to sway the Wizengamot.Just one question: if Dumbledore left his tomb, why didn't he take the Elder Wand with him, but left it there?Intersting start to the story. I'm looking forward to what you have planned.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Well, you're right about the Wizengamot... unfortunately. As for why Dumbledore left the wand, it will be easier to understand later on. I'd tell you, but then I'd have to Obliviate you.
Ho! You're off to a good start and a whirlwind of a story so far. I week to find Dumbledore, prepare a case that no barrister would want - because it seems impossible - and find clues to clear Severus' name. whew -good luck!
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
And there's a twist that will come in the next chapter that will make things even harder, if not impossible for Hermione, Harry, and Severus. Thanks!
Dumbledore had better have a good excuse and not be tanning himself on a south sea island, sucking on a lollipop. Very interesting start.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
I normally wouldn't put it past him to do such a thing, he's always so thoughtful of everyone else. In this, however, he has a good reason for not being visible.
Interesting take on this.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Thank you. I hope you enjoy the rest of it.
I like the chapter, it is great to set the tone of a story. Hemione's exclamation at then end of only having a week to prepare, while a noteworthy complaint, made me smile because I always figure she's good at overcoming the impossible odds.Looking forward to the next chapter. =)
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Heh, heh. She is. She's also good at freaking out about things before they happen. Although she's an adult now, I think we saw a tiny bit of that here. You know she'll be ready when the time comes. Thanks!
all i can say is that old bastard better have a fantastic excuse for screwing over our seviekins like that! great begining. i look forward to more. thanks so much
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Lol. Yes... well... there is a good excuse, but you'll have to wait and find out. (I assume by old bastard, you're referring to Dumbledore, right?) Shacklebolt really isn't that old, but he's definitely not on Severus' side in this story.
Great start to your story. I'm looking forward to reading more.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Thank you!
I am intrigued and looking forward to more.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Thank you very much!
Interesting beginning. I look forward to where it is headed. I like the way you present Severus as the same yet different, older, a bit more resigned. Thanks for posting, JoAnne
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Thank you for reviewing! I'm glad you like the beginning, and that you like Severus.
Lovely story. Very interesting spells and potions. I loved the ending.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
*Grins* Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
What a perfect ending! I loved this story so much from beginning to end. Thank you so much for resurrecting this prompt, and puting a new spin on it. I felt so bad for Severus at the end, how Dumbledore stole his thunder. But I think he managed to get some of it back. Thanks Again. Much Love ~ Brena
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
As we can see, some things don't change, and Dumbledore's meddlesome nature is one of them. I'm glad you enjoyed the story. It's such a fascinating concept, I had to give it a try.
