I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
It's really not looking good, is it?
that umbitch is evility personified. great update. thanks so much
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
She's definitely nasty. Not one redeeming quality in that woman's entire body.
Good luck to Harry and Hermione to finding Dumbledore fast and finding out what was going on during the trial.I'm curious as to how Snape will be treated after the spell was cast.Good work! I'm on tenterhooks over here.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
It won't be as easy as they are hoping. They'll have to look for other solutions. You will see what happens with Snape in the next chapter. *Rubs hands together in diabolical manner.*Glad I've intrigued you!
Hugh, I hate Umbrodge. I think boiling oil would be jsut the ticket! Hand her over!
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
A wonderful idea, there! I really don't think that wench has one redeeming quality.
Oh, Umbridge is going to be trouble.Oh, he asked her and she was gobsmacked. Too bad he couldn't see what his suggestion actually did to her. LOL And she fantsizes about his kiss - oh yeah, he is getting - no, got to her.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Yes, they're actually both getting to each other. But neither is quick enough about the other sex to realize it.
Well, that went just as I expected it would have... you even had Umbridge stay out side the court room until the gas would have dissipated. I had wondered about that. Well done! Now I have to wonder how hard it will be for Hermione or Harry to get custody of Severus after his sentence is carried out. Surely others, most notably Umbridge, will vie for his custody... she'd love to have her fun with him, wouldn't she?I'm looking forward to the next chapter!Beth
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Thanks, Beth. It would have done no good for Umbridge to fall for her own trap. Well, we as readers might have been happy, but not her. You're also right about Umbridge wanting Snape all to herself. And there's no romantic inclilnations there whatsoever.
Ah ha! Now I think I know what happened to Dumbledore. He's "the motionless slip of a man" who lays on the bed in the unknown wizard's home, isn't he? But we still don't know who this bad wizard is who is working so hard to render Severus useless. I began to wonder if his quarrel is more with Dumbledore than it is with Severus. Or does he hate them both equally? It is all but certain now that no matter how good a case Hermione has prepared in Severus' defense, he will be convicted and turned into a shell of a man. Still trying to figure out who this evil wizard is who is eliminating any and all who supported the fight against the Dark Lord. He must be a Death Eater... Hummmmm.Great work, Mystery Author!Beth
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Yes, he is. You'll find out how that came about eventually, and just who is the culprit who did it. And, as you now know, the Wizengamot has ruled against Severus. His 'Hollowing out' is to come. Great ideas, Beth!
I like the growing awareness that is developing between Severus and Hermione. When they are thinking about each other, it means that there may be something good going to come out of all of this. Umbridge is still an unsavory sort, and is willing to do anything to "punish" those she feels have gotten in her way, and Severus definitely falls in that category.Kingsley needs to get a backbone. He knows how hard Severus fought to bring down Voldemort, yet he is too scared of loosing his job to do the right thing. At least he has dispensed with the Dementor's Kisses, and even though he has denied Umbridge's idea to use the new spell on Severus, it seem as though our new Poly Juiced "boy" will keep trying to find someone on the Wizengamot who will agree to it. Who is this new boy, this older man in the guise of a young man? It's getting more interesting with every word you write!Beth
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
That's Umbridge all right. She doesn't even really have a beef with Severus. She just doesn't like the fact that he escaped punishment before for his DE crimes.I think Shacklebolt, despite his wanting to be a better leader, is playing the politician here. Unfortunate and sad, really.
What an interesting start! Hermione and Harry will have their work cut out for them. Why is Dumbledore making himself unavailable to help Severus? What will happen to Severus if he is convicted? How will Hermione be able to help him?Great introductory chapter!Beth
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Great questions too! You've come to some of the answers. More will be answered as we go merrily along.
Oh, is Dumbledore the mindless man on the cot? Who is this mystery man that is using Umbridge? I really felt sorry for Seveurs until Hermione cornered him on his guilt trip. Hermione saw right through him. It was noce that they held hands, though.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Yes, he is. Can't reveal Mr. Mystery yet, though.I always feel sorry for Severus. He's lived such a harsh life and has much to regret. But ultimately, Hermione is right. The only way to find happiness for him is to accept what has happened and move on.
Oh no, what a disaster. Blast that Umbridge, all things being equal, she should be the one on trial. ~shudders~ Poor Severus...
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
She really should be! She's evaded real punishment for years.
that stupid wench! she must die!
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
That would be ideal, wouldn't it?
Poor Hermione. I think she made a good case. Stupid magic intervention by Umbridge.I hope that Severus gets put with either Harry or Hermione, just so that they can keep him safe until Dumbledore is found. No telling what might happen otherwise. Looking forward to the next chapter. =)
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
His placement with either of those two would definitely be ideal. However, Umbridge will make a bid for him. Will she get him? You can imagine what she would do with him if she did.
I want to kill Umbridge several times over! Time for Hermione to do her know-it-all stuff!Look forward to more.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Yes, Umbridge deserves any bad things she gets. Too bad the Centaurs didn't behead her. Knowing Hermione, she won't let this rest.
Oh, Umbitch deserves a fate worse than death.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Doesn't she, though? The worst part is she's thoroughly enjoying herself.
That's got to look fishy! :)
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
It does! And with Hermione's brains and Harry's Auror training, they're not too far from finding out the truth.
Just found your work and am at the edge of my seat - nice job with your build up and great characterization - can't wait to see where you take this!
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Thank you! That's certainly high praise! I'm glad you found this and hope you continue to enjoy it.
That is soooo sad!!! I feel so sorry for Severus. Please make it better. Please!!!
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Oh, gabi, it will have to get worse before it gets better. I'm a slave to the prompt. (But I love the prompt, or I wouldn't have accepted the challenge.)
Just WOW. I'm floored. So I guess Dumbledoore is the peron held captive. I don't think he is the evil potion maker - Dolores for sure wouldn't trust Dumbledore. But of course he could be poyjouced ...See what you do to me?
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
He's not the evil potions maker, definitely. Yes, he's the captive. (Don't tell anyone.) The thing with Dolores... she has no clue who's helping her. It could be anyone. Sorry to make you so crazy, apisa. Have fun with chapter four.
Time for a prison break.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
And how! Unfortunately, there will be no opportunity for such a saving grace.
awesome.....
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Thank you! I've submitted the next chapter, so it should post relatively soon.
So I'm thinking that the mystery man being held captive is Dumbledore, but that's just my guess.I hope that the potion backfires and that the Wizengamot find Snape innocent, but that would make it a rather short story wouldn't it? And quite honestly, I'd love to read more than that. ;-) Hope you keep writing!Looking forward to the next chapter. =)
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
And a good guess it is. Well, as you said, if the potion backfires, which would be great, btw, then this really would be a short story. Not only that... it really wouldn't fit the prompt. So, unfortunately, Umbridge's plan will succeed. At least for now.
Okay, who has the skills to make such a potion and knew where to find AD? Well, it sure sounds like he's got both Severus and Albus wrapped up tight. I'll bet Umbridge's planning to influence more than his future, like her future too. Grrr, wonderful chapter, sure can't wait to see what happens next, hint, hint...
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Umbridge is always looking out for herself. I think she'd love to get her claws into a Hollowed-out Snape. She's just a sadist at heart.
great chapter, i can't wait to read more!
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Thank you! I hope you'll like it as it goes along.
Good, the opportunity for a little Umbridge bashing. Her young visitor almost sounded like Moody. What happened to Kingsley? Was he not knowledgeable about the role Snape played?
Interesting start, I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Could Moody be back from the dead? Probably not... but good guess! Kingsley is reticent to use or consider Snape's memories given by Harry for fear they've been tampered with. Go figure. He is aware of the true story, except for the part where Dumbledore is alive, but is unwilling to risk his job to side with Snape. He wants more 'real' evidence, and pending that, is willing to send an innocent man to jail. Perhaps part of him wishes that Hermione puts up a good case so Snape can be acquitted. At least he's not so bad as to embrace Umbridge's plan.
