I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

Well done Severus. Maybe now he can get with his life like a normal man, with somebody who loves him very much. Plus i'm sure there will be a twinkle or two in Dumbledore's eye. Great update.

I think the devious author has set out some traps for Severus at Lestrange's house. I hope the author won't throw too many obstacles in the way.Good chapter, but of course you had to end with an evil cliffie. *Sigh*

*Grins* The evil author has some ups and downs planned, but Severus is a strong wizard. I just submitted the next chapter so it should be up relatively soon.
The 'paly acting' Severus and Hermione did was hilarious. I loved that Harry was under the cloak the whole time. and Hermione stealing her precius plates 
too funny.But, I'm - well, I thought that you couldn't trace someone who Apparates. Isn't that canon? Or are Aurors able to do that?

After much soul searching... I mean internet searching... you're right. According to Remus, unless you catch hold of them, you can't trace them. For this story, Aurors have the ability to do that. It's obviously a well kept secret, or Remus would know, right? I'm sure Aurors can do a lot of things that the normal wizarding population doesn't know about.Umbridge deserves all the bad things possible. Hermione loved doing that just to get a tiny bit of revenge on her for what she did to Severus.

Thanks! He's not used much, but with a wife like Bellatrix and being so close to Voldemort, I bet he's a really nasty individual.
OK, a moment of smugness. I was right!!!! Yeah for me! Chapter was interesting, I enjoy seeing Severus's feelings although the situation he is in is horrible.

I'm glad Severus had time to examine his feelings and come to the conclusions he did. When Hermione gets him out of this mess (and I'm sure she will) he is more likely to be able to live a happy life.

I think she's just a nasty piece of work. She doesn't like kids, so she puts unbearable rules over them. She doesn't like Severus because he was a Death Eater, so in her mind, he deserves the harshest punishment.
Now that's what I'm talking about. Scare the nine lives out of Dolores. She's not very bright. I bet she could order those cat plates from Amazon or eBay. But we need a villian so Hermione and Severus can bond. Any means to that end.

Nine lives. LOL. I agree with you, Umbridge isn't very bright. She's ruthless and conniving, but not in an intelligent way.
I love the idea of torturing the plate kitties. Only because they aren't real kitties. I like those.

I'm not one for torturing real animals either, but as you said, these kitties aren't real. But they are to Umbridge. I find it interesting that she doesn't have a cat (live). Maybe she can't be bothered with the upkeep.

Cats are quite particular about their support staff. She probably couldn't get a real one to stick around without Imperious-ing it.

Umbridge as the Wicked Witch of the West... Well, she was the Wicked Witch of Hogwarts for a time. Hee. Loved what Hermione did to dear Dolores' precious kitty plate. She really got Umbridge where she lives. Maybe Severus can wreak some revenge of his own in the end by charming all of Dolores' pretty pink robes, cloaks, and assorted frou frou pitch-black. That should really make the Evil Priestess of Pervasive Pinkness scream.As for Rodolphus, he's in deep doo-doo now!

That's a wonderful idea. I think she'd be incredibly mortified. Maybe too mortified to realize she could simply turn them back.

Their plan to trick Umbridge into leading them to Lestrange worked perfectly, and the spell on her "precious pet" was a good reminder to the evil woman not to take Severus and Hermione lightly. The stupid woman led Harry right to her partner. I can't wait to see what happens next.Thanks for this great update!

I really don't think that Dolores is one to think things out. She reacts. "Get me the Veritaserum." stuff like that. She's mean, but not very intelligent.

My guess is that the anonymous partner is either a death-eater or Dumbledore himself, and that there's a master plan behind this curse! It reminds me of Lou Gehrig's disease in the final stages. I wonder if Sev would have allowed himself to fall in love with Hermoine if he hadn't have been completely helpless and powerless, forced to rely on her for everything. By the way, the poor man still needs to be washed and relieve himself, you know! Very intertesting story, and I'm looking forward to the next chapters!

Very good guesses. Can't tell you if you're right just yet. I think that Severus probably would have eventually fallen for Hermione had they spent a lot of time together, but this just sped a lot of his feelings up. Between being helped by her and seeing how powerless he is, he won't be one to beat around the bush once he's back to himself again.I'm sure Hermione takes care of everything he needs, or tells him to do it. Thanks!
