I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

wonderful! But listen - maybe you'd better have her call the Ghostbusters - I can't take much more of this heartbreak!! :-) Thanks for the update - keep on it!
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Hopefully, she'll come up with what she needs soon. As you can see, she's working very hard to find the cure. Maybe that green slime-guy has some ideas.
Oh, I know I complained about the lack of SS thoughts from the last chapter. I should have been content with the silence. He's so sad, hopeless and pitiful in his thoughts. You're gonna make me cry, aren't you.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Well, I must admit, your and a few others clamoring for what Severus was thinking was the catalyst for this chapter. (You only have yourself to blame!) It's really sad, isn't it? But Hermione should make a breakthrough soon.
That is sooo unbelievably sad!! I really hope that it's getting better soon!
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
It will. Hermione will figure things out.
Being stuck inside like that seems even worse than a Dementor's Kiss. I hope that they find the countercurse soon! I really liked Snape's POV and am looking forward to reading more of this story!
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Thank you! I too, think it's probably worse than a Dementor's Kiss. Being aware but being unable to do anything about it. How frustrating, to say the least! Hermione is working hard. She should figure it out soon.

Hmm, I find Severus sudden intense feelings rather surprising, as he never seemed to be the type to develop this kind of emotions without interaction. So one supposes they are born out of gratitude and might not last long...
But however, the duality between his feelings, her musings and actions and the utter frustration for them both was written really intensely and touchingly and made my heart ache.
Author's Response: Those feelings are internal, don't forget. I think Severus keeps a lot within himself and has some intense emotions in there. That and being trapped within himself, I think, has made him not want to be so covert with his sentiments. He sees a lot of things going on around him that he can't partake of. I don't think he'll waste a lot of time once he's free from this curse.
Drat! I wish the Legilimency had worked. But perhaps they could communicate by simple signs: "Severus, can understand my questions? If the answer is yes, lift your right hand." Oh I'm grasping at straws now... I just want so badly for them to find a way to communicate, even if it is only simple a "yes" or "no" sign. And I wonder what's going on with Dumbledore. And what are Umbridge and her "partner" up to? The inquiring reader wants to know. What a great story you've written! I'm looking forward to the next update!Beth
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Well, Beth, that would be a great way to communicate. Unfortunately, Severus can't move! It stinks, doesn't it? There's no way he can communicate to anyone. The poor guy couldn't even make a sound. We'll get around to everyone involved in the story, but we need to free Severus first. Well, Hermione does.
Awesome story! This is going right on my favorites list. I can't wait to read more.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Thank you! I'm honored that you like it so well.
I was hoping someone would try Legilimancy. Dang! It didn't work!. Good chapter, poor Severus. This is a very good sotry.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Thanks,
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
. It's really a shame it didn't work. Hermione is still working on the countercurse, but she's in the dark as to how Severus feels.
Poor Severus! I hope he can get his wish.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Don't we all!
I hoped that would work.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
I know! That bad guy thought of everything, didn't he? He must have guessed that someone would try to contact Severus' mind.
Damn, thought the Legilimency would have worked!
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
That would have been great if it had. But, alas, it wasn't to be. That bad guy really thought of everything with that curse!
I like this so far! I remember the original Hollow Man Challenge from a long time ago (I think it was even before HBP came out). It's interesting that Severus knows what's going on but can't do anything about it. I'd love to see his POV again. Although, I like Hermione's too.I hope that Harry and Hermione can figure out a way to bring him back!
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Thank you! That original challenge was so well done, I had to throw my hat into it this time around. The next chapter will deal solely with Severus' POV. I hadn't originally intended to have his thoughts known until he was cured, but through popular demand, I realized that it would be vital to the story.
And the Oscar for best actress goes to...Hermione Granger. Glad that she portrayed herself as she did so that she'd keep him from those who'd wish him harm. Now let's see the smartest witch of her age solve this problem.Looking forward to the next chapter. =)
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Oh, it was a stellar performance, wasn't it? I think she hated every minute of it, though. She'll wrack her brain to fix this. Hopefully, she'll come up with something soon. Thanks, Rhiannon.

Oh my, what a horrid, horrid fate! You truly have an inventive mind! ;o) I can only bear this with the hope that it's a fanfiction and everything will be all right in the end. If not, better look out for strangers with a wand... *evil cackle*
Author's Response: It's awful, isn't it? Thank you for the compliment, but I must give credit to the prompt. It pretty much outlines what has to happen.
I think that's what I like about this prompt... what happens to Severus. It's evil and yet it's just fascinating that someone could exist in this way. Well, if you call that existing.
I'll be looking over my shoulder for you, but I will assure you... this IS fanfiction, and real life has enough sadness in it.
Go Hermione! Bring back our Severus! I can't wait to read the next chapter!
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Yup, she'll be working hard to figure out what's going on.
Wow, Hermione can really act! I'm so sad for Severus, even though Hermione will take care of him. I hope he doesn't go completely crazy being stuck in his head like that. Please update again soon! Much Love ~ Brena
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Hopefully, he'll peek around a little and see what's going on around him. I'm sure with the state he is in, it's easy to disappear within himself and be unconscious of even the good that is going on around him. Thanks!
It's so odd to see the courtroom sequence go so horribly wrong. This was a nice change but also very sad. I hope Harry & Hermione find our roaming Dumbledore. Thank you for this wonderful fic. Much Love ~ Brena
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
I suppose that was a bit different than usual, wasn't it? We're used to Super-Hermione saving the day and Severus in court. Oh well, Umbridge made sure that wasn't going to happen. Now to the worst part!
Awww That was awesome how Severus actually opened up a little bit to Hermione. Damn Umbridge for being such a b***h! I know this wouldn't be as dramatic if she wasn't there to cause a conflict but she still sucks in my book. Thanks for this wonderful story! I'm kinda afraid to see what happens next, but curiosity is killing me! Much Love ~ Brena
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Yes, Umbridge is evil incarnate, you'll get no argument from me. Thanks, Brena!
I hope Umbridge evenutally gets punished for this.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
That's the least she deserves!
Poor sev, he is so distraught! Stupid Umbridge and Portly Guy need to jump off a cliff together... can't wait to read more!
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Too bad that Umbridge and Portly guy can't be convinced that a cliff dive would be beneficial to their plan! Oh, well, I guess we're stuck with them and their evil plan.
Things are set to turn nasty, I can tell. :)
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
You are so very right! Anything with Umbridge is automatically nasty, isn't it, though?
A really great chapter!!! I love the old challenge! You are making it work really well!!
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Oh, that's high praise! Thank you so much. It's got a few twists to the original, but I've tried to stick with the prompt as best as I can. I too loved this old challenge and the fabulous stories that came of it.
I want to feed Umbridge to the Acromantulas.
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
It's really a shame the Centaurs didn't eat her for dinner when they captured her. This woman really has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
This is interesting. I can't wait to find out who the mystery man is. I'm assuming it was someone Albus trusted. And someone quite brilliant as well. When will Delores apply the potion? Won't Hermione be in the room?
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Hermione won't be in the room because Dolores will do it right before Severus, Hermione, and any viewers enter.
yike! sounds like severus is in deep doo-doo. but where is albus? great update. thanks so much
Response from debjunk (Author of Empty)
Hmm, that's the big question, isn't it? Will he be found in time? Or will Severus continue to be in deep doo-doo?
