Alan Rickman obsessed ex-civil servant now living the good life in France. I only write in the good ship SS/HG. However, if you think that the only way these two can get together is by some sort of forced marriage, 'binding' or whatever, don't read my stories. You will be disappointed.

Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Not my ship, but it is jkr's unfortunately, and therefore has to be dealt with.
Hope you keep reading :)

Hehe, this is a popular prompt to respond to but I like your take. Very quirky. I can't wait to see how it goes... though I hope Ron buggers off soon. I just can't find it in me to like him with Hermione.
Great start!

Hmm . . . I wonder if any of those substitutions changed the potion from what it was supposed to be. I am curious about that opened door. I have a feeling that someone entered, but who? And what did they do? Perhaps Hermione will need to talk to Severus to figure out how to correct any errors with the potion, if there were any.

When I read, "Open this door, at once! Hermione Granger, you've got some explaining to do.", the first thought that went through my mind with I Love Lucy. lol So after reading the other reviews I'm wondering just how this story is going to unfold. Because this has alot of twists and turns. And I just love stories like that. So bring it on. I so can't wait to see what you have next.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thank you. The story is mostly written, so you shouldn't have to wait too long

Wonderful start -- although with Hermione having such negative thoughts about Ron at the time of the spell, I find it a bit ironic that he is her chosen mate. I look forward to seeing what happens next. Thanks for posting, JoAnne
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
I didn't say he was.
Response from JoKK2 (Reviewer)
Oh now that is interesting -- no I guess you didn't say he was her chosen mate. He just showed up with a contract and I jumped. Very interesting. It looks like you might be handing us some twists in this one. What fun. Thanks.

I'm totally loving this new challenge, and am thrilled with this, the latest in responses to it. Wonderful job! But I'm wondering why the girls (at least one of them, ahem) ended up with the wrong guys. Those substitutions, perhaps?
Great beginning, write fast, I want more!

i am really enjoying the stories responding to this prompt. i liked your take very much. i especially liked that ginny and luna just went ahead and started on the potion without hermione. i'm looking forward to seeing where you go from here.

I love this prompt and this was very well written! Hermione paired with Ron is not among those pairing I read though, (I am close to allergic to said pairing), so I will probably not read so much more of this story. But as I said, very well written and I am sure there will be plenty readers who will have a wonderful time reading this story. Since the author is hidden I can't find out if you have written other stories, but I do hope that you will use your talent to write a story with Hermione paired with (almost) everyone else than Ron, I would love to read it!

Thank you - well, the category shown now is for the dh potterplace challenge, but after the reveal it will be potions under duress - that may give you an incentive to read further ~tempties~

Oh, that was lovely! FINALLY! The first part of the story was really an excruciating read. Poor Hermione, poor Luna. I am very happy you gave finally gave them the happiness they deserve. Thank you.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
thanks. glad you liked it
A great fic!! I felt very sory for Hermione, I'm happy that everything ended well, although I believe that Severus took too long to return. Kisses and congratulations!!!!

I read it in one go, it's beautiful!
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
i have such a love and hate relationship with this fic. its amazing how that can happen.im amused how you accounted for the children. i originally thought hugo was going to end up being their kid but no but he still gets to be her favorite. i also like the relationship between hermione and lavender.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
thanks for your reviews
but I finally asked someone to take Polyjuice... and, well, when I saw ‘you’ in the flesh, I knew that everything I had worked for, all the wealth I had accumulated amounted to a grand total of nothing. All the true happiness I have ever known... I left it behind in Ireland. That is why I came back.’ yay we are given a reason.glad children were brought up. That may well be...’ Hermione sighed. ‘But it’s beside the point, though, isn’t it? I’m still responsible for bringing them into the world. I gave them life; I don’t see how I have the right to take it away again.’ correct. im sure they wouldnt want to cease existing no matter how tough it might have been growning up. and well, as i understand the soul thing to me it just seems like a nice excuse. but this does answer my child thing from before. but still it doesnt quite set well with me. and sure luna is dead but my childhood was more bleak then im sure her kids were and i wouldnt want to give up my life just because of that. but im glad she focuses a lot of her thoughts on the children and yes i can totally understand her making the decision. we always know how to rationalizethethings we want. and who is to say that i wouldnt dothe same?
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Hermione's decsion was always intended to be a moral dilemma. Sacrficing her motherhood was probably the most selfless thing she could do under the circumstances
‘Hmm...? Oh, yes. Yes, I’m... yes.’ this had me cackling.hermione palm reading severus! awesome, loved that bit-very humourous and the bit with the 8 children :Pbut hey... if hers says eight and his says one she already has eight and also her oldest are twins just to rule that out.... where is his one from?‘Have you raided anything else from my personal belongings that I should know about?’Hermione rolled her eyes and sauntered into the bathroom. ^______________^trying not to stare at the sight of Severus in a pair of jeans and a Black Sabbath T-shirt. heh heh..dying, dying....oh and did i forget to mention some chapter before about the partying like 1999 but close enough since its 1998?
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
partying like it's 1999 is also an expression (still used, so the actual date is irrelevant)
Response from genrou (Reviewer)
oh yes i know its an expression, i still use something simiuliar as does conan for the year 2000 and that song did coume out years before. i was just amused at the actual date in reference.
‘Um... is there any chance of a chocolate biscuit... or two?’Hermione glowered at him. ‘Don’t push it.’ this just about killed me. ^__^Getting Severus even to agree to being fed had been a battle in itself until Hermione had finally lost it and told him he could stick his snout in it and eat like a pig in a trough for all she cared. He’d hardly said a word after that and had meekly allowed Hermione to feed him ^___________^ and then the rest of severus' crap that she put up with. the flying bit was amusing. though i was confused. by the description of how she stuck herselk to him i thought she was on his side but when they landed it seems she was on his front. clarification?
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
yes, she was at his side. They had to roll on landing as I remember, and that's how they ended up
‘Of course you don’t, sir,’ Hermione said, busying herself with the empty phials. ‘It must be a bugger, though, not having any tear ducts.’ ^____^very nicely done. i like all the problems that occured and the how things were remedied.
and good on fawkes to leave tears behind before he shot off.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
thanksFawkes had certainly given him a healthy supply long before he left
yes like snape, i want to know how/why hermione allowed herself to be such a puch over. she gets nothing from it in thier contract so why 8 children when she wanted 2? i suppose if ron really wanted them the all he would have to do is look at her and they go all lusty. that why?
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
no choice in the matter - other than kill herself, of course.Ron, as the injured party, could make the conditions.
huh, why would it be only the woma's fidelity in the contract in a book that seems like "for women by a women"? you'd think that part would be changed to fidelity for the man. ‘That is beside the point. I have long suspected that there is a... how can I put this delicately... a touch of the lavender about you, Draco—and I don’t mind that—’ ^____^ s that an actual saying or just one especially amusing made by you? and i liked the comment on how draco was conceived as well.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
because it was a mixed up combination of a spell and a potion binding the caster. (as required by the prompt)yes, it's an actual saying.
the poems were the most amusing.and yes, neveille is awesome.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)

Wonderful story!! 8 kids? Ouch!!! Thanks for a great read!
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
thanks. glad you liked it
This ist really good. I liked how it starterd with a BANG. And I'm particularly fond of the (nearly) realistic sex. Lots of emotion, but neither persons nor universe shattered. Great. Thank you!
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)

Oh my god! That ending was so sweet! And I loved the slap! But at the beginning--aargh! It was sooo sad. I felt so bad for Hermione (which was probably the point) but anyway, fantastic story, absolutely wonderful. I'm in love--in a completely platonic way, you understand! Thank you so much for writing this! You are amazing. Mwah! or Muah! (however you spell it, although the latter looks rather like the beginnings of an evil laugh) In any case, that was meant to be an air kiss, in case you couldn't tell. That would actually not suprise me in the least, as I have a tendency to make little to no sense. And I'm rambling. So I'll just say: love the story, love you!
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thanks - glad you liked it. I don't much care for the idea of forcing people to marry - which is why I had to think up the worst scenario possible - and then get Hermione (not to mention Luna, Draco and even Ron) out of it.Thanks again.
