Alan Rickman obsessed ex-civil servant now living the good life in France. I only write in the good ship SS/HG. However, if you think that the only way these two can get together is by some sort of forced marriage, 'binding' or whatever, don't read my stories. You will be disappointed.

That was such a touching moment at the end, just right for a kiss, until she was sick.

thank you :)
No great insights today, just wanted to thank you for the update!

And thank you for reviewing, I must admit I'd hoped to push the story on a bit, but once those two get going in my head, it's just about as much as I can do to keep up!
Thankd again.
Wow! That was impressive—having Hermione and Severus fly together. I don't think I've ever seen anyone use his newly-revealed ability like that. I like how the dynamics between them are evolving. I am very much looking forward to finding out what happens in Ireland, and I'm also feeling distinctly sorry that Hermione ended up bonded to Ron for so many years (we can blame that on JKR because it's certainly not your fault that being canon-compliant means a minimum of a nineteen year relationship with Ron!).
I love this story!! What a great chapter! I particularly enjoyed your inclusion of the flying. :) I will be happily awaiting more!

thank you. Glad you're enjoying it.
Ewwww gross! Poor Hermione... she finally was all wrapped up in him and she pukes. Way to stroke a man's ego.

Yes, well, he's probably seen her at her worst now. Thanks for reviewing.
This is getting good, I hope a new chapter is up soon:)

Ooooh, Ireland.... Is it possible that a certain book of spells with the letter E.P. on the cover comes from there? I have sneaky suspicion that Hermione didnt really go to her parents for a week.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
You'll have to keep reading to find out. Thanks for reviewing.
Poor Hermione. She really got herself into a jam with Ron. Eight Weasley children to raise? No thanks!I hope Snape can help her make it all better.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Well, that's the thing with forced marriages - and poor Ron not being able to marry his love. I'm amazed he didn't try to sue her.
Ha! I can just see Hermione bringing up a brood of seven kids, while staying home, educating them, cooking, cleaning and in general making Ron comfortable. NOT!
‘Right,’ said Fred - Love this reference to that old band! Can't understand how that poem could pair her with Ron, but I'm sure all will be explained.Really great chapter.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thank you - yes, I was thinking more of the old Bernard Cribbins song, myself
What a plot twist, I love it. This is one of the better stories I have read for this challenge so far. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Thanks - I'm glad you're enjoying it.
Another wonderful chapter! Looks like Ron's coming into a little money on account of Malfoy being a martini with a twist, eh? And Lucius too! Lovely little plot points!

"A Witch Weekly pin-up, he couldnt be hotter,
Rich and endearing, in short, Harry Potter."
So cute! Great start!

Poor Hermione and Ron! I hope they don't actually have to get married. They seem so unhappy.
Great update!

oh my gosh...this had to be the most depressing chapter in fanfic-dom. altho perhaps i'm putting myself too much in hermione's place. thanks and i hope further updates are more uplifting.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Erm... the prompt does call for people to be forced into marriage against their will. I fail to see how that can be a bundle of laughs.
Thank for reviewing.

maybe it was the idea of churing out babies and turning into molly...talk about fear factor! as i said, i'm prob'ly projecting myself in too much. just so you know, i'm not expecting a bundle of laughs either. thanks so much for sharing your vision with one way less talented. all i can do is read and review.

Well, that's kinda depressing for Hermione. Seems like total enslavement to me. Why should she agree to 7 kids? Let Ron screw around, I say!
Well, hopefully Hermione and Ron will be able to break off the marriage. I cannot see anything worse than Hermione having to marry Ron and act like Molly.

Yeah, magically binding contracts are a bitch

Wow things really look glum for Hermione. I know you must have a way out for her and Ron, but I don't see it. And what about Luna -- I can't see her being happy as a Malfoy wife. What a mess. I look forward to the clean up though. Thanks for posting, JoAnne
Oh This is very good! Poor Hermione! I think she ought to hold out for a wizengamut trial- sort of like a hunger strike in jail. "I won't marry him and I'd rather die than give up my dreams"I'm really looking forward to the rest of this!

This is great! Very amusing so far. I love that they are changing ingredients and that the cauldron blew up at Hermione's flower. what could that signify? :-)I'm on to the next chapter

yikes! what a mess. i hate that malfoy has shaklebolt in his pocket. i'm looking forward to seeing how you finally get them out of this pickle. (assuming you do eventually get them out of it!)

great second chapterKingsley totally disappointed me here. Jerko. LOL Enough witnesses were there to cover for them. :)Poor Hermione. ~hopes Snape shows up and gives them a good potion to end it~And if he does, hahaha, let's hope Ron remembers to lick his boots!!!!

Well, you know how everyone believes what they read in the press.
We'll have to see about that ;)

I feel extremely sorry for Hermione, no career, basically told she can't have an opinion and told to she is going to have all these children ... I can't want for the next instalment ... and I think Ron could be less of a prat! and Molly is just an idiot

Oh, how lovely. An excellent prompt to choose and a great beginning. Of course, I'm sad that there's no Severus in the mix, but you can't have everything, can you?! LOL
Author's Response: Thank you
I can’t really see Ron as Hermione’s soul mate? Ron is exactly as you describe him – needs encouragement, someone to tell him how wonderful he is on a daily basis, always be there to make sure he’s got clean socks and have supper on the table when he comes home from work, loves kids and wants a big family and find the time to discuss Quidditch tactics on top of all that… Yep, you hit him right on the nose! So I’m dying to find out how Ron fits this description: ‘Brave as a lion with the heart of a lamb, Willing to take me for all that I am. A friend and a lover with a mind just as smart, To love and to cherish ‘til death do us part.’ Hmmmmm? The ‘mind just as smart’ part seem dubious. So, lets see what you do with this – shall we? I’m intrigued.
