Alan Rickman obsessed ex-civil servant now living the good life in France. I only write in the good ship SS/HG. However, if you think that the only way these two can get together is by some sort of forced marriage, 'binding' or whatever, don't read my stories. You will be disappointed.

Good start! I'm interested as to where you are taking this one. The other forced marriage fics all seem to have an "oh no, ah, but 3 minutes have gone by, now I'm happy with you, lets shag" feel to them. Unusual to find one where people are genuinely completely mismatched in expectations.
Thank you for writing.

Thank you. Yes, I quite agree with you - I don't think forcing someone into marriage is a good thing. Realistically, what are the chances of such a thing working out for the best?
Next chapter should be up shortly.

I love this! I love Lucius, he's just magnificently manipulative and calculating and just exactly the right amount of kind of evil (as in we may not like what he's doing or the way he's doing it but we have to admit that he's got a good reason).
Draco is awesome too, not being an empty-headed shallow plastic-person designed to be disliked (I've seen that in so many fics where he's not part of the primary pairing...) and not being completely reformed either. Poor Luna, though. The way the contract is made up Draco still has a chance at happiness because he can take a lover and find someone that he really loves, but Luna, even if they did come to be fond of each other, will still be trapped in a loveless marriage with a husband who doesn't find her the slightest bit desirable and no way out, because although she didn't put in the death clause like Hermione did I doubt Lucius would let her get a divorce. Poor Luna. (Although Draco/Luna does hold enormous appeal to me. :D)
Ron/Hermione and no way out? I had a suspicion about your identity, but definitely not anymore. I don't think the person I was thinking of would be physically capable of writing that. And if you are that person after all, then you must have some pretty damn devious cards tucked up your sleeve. I like that Ron actually seems to semi-sensible here, at least in the discussion about what to do about the contract and how he wants to do right by Lavender instead of just reducing her to a bit on the side with or without Hermione's permission.
There's got to be a way out though. Kingsley's going to come with something to counter those pictures, or he's going to get his hands on the negatives some other way. He's definitely going to have to get out of Lucius' pocket.
This is getting long, so I'll just stop here.
