Alan Rickman obsessed ex-civil servant now living the good life in France. I only write in the good ship SS/HG. However, if you think that the only way these two can get together is by some sort of forced marriage, 'binding' or whatever, don't read my stories. You will be disappointed.

I think Ron should be mentally checked...so many children!!! He's not the one that had to birth them...I can understand Hermione...she was under that spell and had to comply., but Lavender? And Lavender has her own fault...she should have put her foot down after 2-4...Yes, when you're rich you can have even 50 kids but it's not fair for those poor children to be raised without having the best! And having only one parent working .. I can imagine that money were tight.I think Severus was very selfish and I don't think he loved her that much if he was able to let her go or at least he should have returned sooner!!! At least he returned...Your story evoked so many emotions...it was that good. Thank you!

Standing on that little beach, holding his world in his arms, Severus doubted there would be another one quite like it. What a perfectly gorgeous ending! You've tied everything up in a beautiful sunset-colored bow. Thank you for a lovely story and a very clever, poignant take on the prompt.

Thanks/ Glad you enjoyed it.
What an incredibly difficult choice to make! To know her children would be born anyway, and could possibly be much happier with someone else as a mother is devastating. Yet, the knowledge that they could be in a loving family with a happy Ron instead of the nightmare created by the compulsion is enough to sway a mother's heart while breaking it at the same time. Will Luna's death be the final factor in her decision?~Rushes off to the final chapter.~
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Yes, it was - and a big price to pay to put things right. Thanks for reviewing
Oh, my! Losing that memory is truly tragic. So much emotion packed into this chapter. I can't imagine what went wrong or how Severus could possibly fix all this. I can't wait to find out!
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thank you.
Ah yes, I shouldn't think Snape would make the best of patients. He's as quick-tempered and stubborn as Hermione. I thoroughly enjoyed her conversation with the bathroom mirror. It was both touching and sad to know that he gave her the book that started all this and that it was his mother's. I should have wondered at the E.P. earlier. It was sweet of her to shrink the cauldron to a talisman, as well. Her thoughfulness and consideration of his feelings and needs for that and the books was lovely. Of course our brilliant Hermione would find a way to take the books! Wonderful Bastard!Snape touch there when he stepped off the cliff without warning her. He deserved almost getting barfed on.~Scurries off to Ireland to see what happens next!~
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thank you - no I think he'd be a dreadful patient.
I do love it when the castle is portrayed as a sentient being! Hermione's appealing to its better nature and allegience to its headmaster was brilliant. Now that sudden departure for Ireland by Hermione makes perfect sense. It is lovely that she wants to help him with his well-deserved fresh start.~Scurries off to the next chapter.~

Yes, I'm glad you like that idea. Thanks for reviewing.
Goodness! Poor Luna. I can see Lucius and Narcissa ruthlessly reigning in her free spirit.I had hoped Ron wouldn't be such a nightmare after he insisted on the huge family. But then, without any bond of fidelity on him, it figures he would stray with such an unhappy marriage. It's ghastly for Hermione. Could she even hug Harry? Is he considered family? Or is she totally isolated? What memories did Snape modify? This is intriguing! I'm off to the next chapter see where this can go from here.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thank you - yes, I'd considered that she would be able to hug Harry as he's family. It's a nightmare for Ron as well as Hermione, don't forget.
she carefully peeled apart the two pages that had somehow stuck together.Well, that's just a major 'Oops!" now isn't it?! The wizarding world doen't seem to have changed much if the minister is still in Malfoy's pocket. Poor Hermione and Ron. Neither wants anything to do with this. Is a working compromise even possible? At least Luna and Draco would have pretty children.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Yep. Drinking and brewing don't mix.And yeah, I doubt there are many policiticians who aren't in someone's pocket. Thanks for reviewing.
What a fabulous beginning! I loved the girls' poems. Can't wait to see where, or more importantly to whom, all this leads. An excellent start on an intriguing prompt.

if I was particularly emotional, I would be a wreck right now. as it is....omg this is amazing. this would make a great soppy movie. much much better than A Walk to Remember, at any rate. something here just grabs me...

Thanks - glad you're enjoying it.
oh...my...god. you have me crying here. this is one of the saddest scenes I have ever seen written in fanfic. seriously. god. I am desperately curious for what comes next. I was soooooo surprised at the memory charm at the end her. absolutely fascinating. this is a very original story. I'm lovin' it! even though, this chapter...I felt so sick at the beginning. I was sure it was a nasty trick, like a dream or something....
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)

Oh I feel so bad for Hermione and I want to strangle Ron! Off to see what Severus made her remember!
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Yes, not a good situation for anyone concerned, is it?
Great chapter! I loved this line: ‘Sucks cock like a pro, too.’Had my wiping the tears from my eyes!

:)Thank you.
Waited until it was completed to read... the start was so heartbreaking (and womb-breaking, eight kids?) but I liked Snape and Hermione's camaraderie. Thanks for writing!

Thanks for reading and reviewing
I went off this story because I don't like reading about abuse - and being forced to bear children against your will is one of the worst forms of abuse. I am glad I decided to finish it. You redeemed that horrible situation and turned it into a "Sliding Doors" sceneario where a single incident radically changes a person's future life. It makes me wonder how many of those "single incidents" we encounter each day and how many of our "small" choices send ripples of consequences out into our futures. Thank you for writing a provocative and interesting story.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thank you. I agree that it's a horrible form of abuse - so is being forced to marry someone against your will - but that was what the prompt called for. And yes, simple everyday incidents can have a huge impact on our futures - unfortunately, we don't have the means to go back and change them.
Great start! I have to go to work now, but I plan on reading the rest tonight!
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thanks. I hope you enjoy the rest of it.
The growing trust between Severus and Hermione is lovely to see, and as for their first sex together - it wasso real, and I'm glad you didn't have them doing everything possible to each other straight off. The slightfumbling now and then was just right, and it was all sobelievable. But sad too, knowing what is going to comea little further down the track.

Awwwwww! A lighthearted finale was acheived ;-) Brava!

Good work, my friend. It's a great way to revist the "past" again. I love that the children found love and homes, and I really like Snape's appearance here, him having to find her. Good work.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thanks Southern, I'm glad you liked it.
Poor poor Luna. :( It's got to be a hard decision. Leaving one's kids? I couldn't do it, but to be honest, she didn't seem keen on her younger kids, did she? "Oh, I wished we'd stopped before..." Wow...
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Yes, I think it would have to be - although it isn't as uncommon as people think for mothers to abandon their children, but here Hermione is doing what she thinks is right for everyone - including her children. Like Hermione, I'm an only child - and was used to the undivided attention of my parents - I can't imagine what it would be like to have to love 8 kids equally - even if it is actually possible. But yes, a leap of faith that things would be better if given your chances over again.
