Alan Rickman obsessed ex-civil servant now living the good life in France. I only write in the good ship SS/HG. However, if you think that the only way these two can get together is by some sort of forced marriage, 'binding' or whatever, don't read my stories. You will be disappointed.

Oh lordy! Lots of things to write... Firstly, while I think that the outcome of such a binding/enforcement/compulsion/whatever would probably be prolonged depression followed by suicide (!) it makes having an interesting and eventually light-hearted plot pretty impossible. So thank you for at least showing that the whole thing would have been horrible! The idea of being stuck with a bloke who you dislike, distrust and have no respect for but being continually drawn to him and utterly tied to him is just... dispicable! Ick, ick and iiiiick!Secondly, I grinned like an idiot at the knickerbockerglory. God they were great! And those special long spoons you got to use...Thirdly, I was all excited as soon as Snape was scanning the crowds for someone in particular. And now I'm all agog!

Yes, being forced to marry anyone is a pretty revolting idea.Yeah, they were, weren't they - I remember having to stand up to eat them - and then getting a straw to suck up the last of the strawberry syrup at the bottom.Yep, he's ba-aak.
Oh Kingsley! You chump! How the hell are they going to get out of this one? ~dashes off to find out~

An amazing story-great plot, good use of magic. I was quite captivated by the transmigration of souls concept. Great writing.

I really don't have the proper words to describe how incredible this story was. I'm probably going to get fired for reading it at work, but I couldn't stop... ~*

LOL - I don't want to be responsible for that.glad you liked it and thanks for leaving a review.
This was a good story. I really must say I like the ending better than where it was going before. I doubt anyone likes to be trapped into a loveless marriage.
You know, the only problem with this contest is that it makes it hard to read other stories that you may have! Hopefully, it will be over sometime soon and I can find out if there is more stories by you here.

Thanks. Well, the ending was always where it was going, but I understand your viewpoint. Forced marriages are a bad thing, but that's what the prompt called for. So, I had to think up the worse case scenario as most people would be only too happy to see Hermione forced to marry Severus. I just hope it made one or two people stop and think.
Great job!! I didn't think there was any way for her to recover from 19 years of hell on earth but you managed it. rather nicely too. I thought Hugo still being there was wonderful and you explained it very well. Thanks for writing!!

Very tender and horrifyingly real by turns. Excellent handling of the time travel issue. You deserve to win with this one. Good luck!
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thank you very much. You are too kind.
Thank you for the wonderful ending. I loved how you repeated the actions and dialogue from the first time she got her memory back. It really shows how they are the same people.

Oh! A happy ending! Thank you for this tale. You have done such a good job with the prompt and with canon-compliancy, still getting in our necessary SS/HG fx with the obliviate/time-travel plot. Excellently ploted, well-characterized. altogether a wonderful story.

It sounds so cliche but it IS the perfect ending.
Thank you so much for sharing.

Thanks - glad you enjoyed it :)
What a lovely, unpredictable story. I liked how you ended it. Even though the choice Hermione had to make to go back or not was loaded with heavy consequences and questions of morality, you set up her character well, and her choice suited her and the Hermione we know from canon.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thanks - yes, I don't think it was an easy decision by any means. Some may view it as selfish, others as selfless. It would take great courage, in my opinion to make such a leap of faith. Thanks for reviewing.
The Chrononavigator really was a cool explanation for Dumbledore's watch. I also enjoyed your explanation of time and space and soul incarnation. Very interesting plot…

Thanks - Sylvanawood is a bit of a genius.Glad you like it :)
Oh yes! A far better ending for our favourite Gryffindor! I am so glad she was prepared to go back and change her life. Now they all get to be happily ever after.
