Alan Rickman obsessed ex-civil servant now living the good life in France. I only write in the good ship SS/HG. However, if you think that the only way these two can get together is by some sort of forced marriage, 'binding' or whatever, don't read my stories. You will be disappointed.

So she helps him with his recovery obviously. I wonder what will happen when we come back to the present?? Can't wait :)
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
You shouldn't have to wait too long.

So the story we are hearing is the one of Hermione's lost memories? - That's kinda cool :) except I still feel so bad for her actual reality. Hopefully Sev will be able to break that protion/charm somehow.

I think you've written the elder Weasley's very well. They still seem loving and concerned, yet accepting of the fate of their son and HErmione without being out and out prats about it. It must have been hard to keep them in character and pull that off - good job.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
A little too accepting perhaps - but people get pushed into things everyday due to their jobs that they'd rather not do. being principled can be hard

This story was amazing. It's interesting, engaging and well thought out. I am really enjoying the flashback as it were...i really hope Severus can fix things so that Hermione doesn't end up trapped in a loveless marraige with Ron...that's really crappy. I always thought JK did a horrible job with the epilogue...thanks for fixing it! Hugs! and SQUEE!

Oy! What kind of end to a chapter is that? Actually, a great one... This is a great backstory. I eagerly await the next chapter. Will they kiss? Please? Is is that left for the present? hmm

Hmmm... not exactly sure what Hermione remembers but with regards to her life, I feel soooo bad for her. I know kids and marriage are supposed to be priorities, and this wonderful thing to have so hopefully I don't offend anyone by saying this, but in Hermione's case, all I can think is 'what a waste'. She was so brilliant, and now she's shackled to a bunch of pups and a husband she has no interest in. Poor thing.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Poor thing indeed.

i read this chapter at work the other day, but i don't think i reviewed, and having just looked at it again, i see why. way too much to say! i loved the seen with hermione and the mirror in severus's bathroom - very funny! and that he gave her the book the charm was in, was too ironic. and making his school cauldron into a tiny talisman for him. and - "cleaning charms it is, then." and that's all before the barely averted barfing on him.
which is a long-winded say of saying, brilliant story, brilliant chapter, and i can't wait for more!

I don't know if I reveiwed this previously, bu just started re-reading it if I have...
I really like the start. The poems were cute, especially Ginny's. I also liked seeing Luna's intellegent side when she was discussing ingredients with Hermione (she's wierd, but I'd imagine very smart - Ravenclaw).
Looking forward to reading the next chapters.

That was quite a fun ride. Can't wait for the next chapter!

Thanks. Glad you're enjoying it.
I am having such a lovely time in the past. Its going to really suck when they are back in her kitchen with all the kiddies in the back yard...Why did Severus stay away for so long? Did they have a break up/fight? When will they be naked? Why did they only have a week togehter? I know you wont answer all my questions because it will give away some of the story...Damn sneaky authors, you like to see me sweat.
I forgot to mention in a previous chapter that I really enjoyed Severus' re-entry into Britian. Specifically wealthy, goodlooking and available!! Its a nice change of pace from all the destitue Snape stories. Much much better.
I am looking forward to the next chapter. Thank you again mystery author
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
And thank you for reviwing. I hope to have this wrapped up in a maximum of three more chapters, so you shouldn't have to wait too long.
Response from MollysSister (Reviewer)
At various points over the weekend I found myself wondering about this story and how it will be resolved. Hermione is really in a pickle, to put it lightly. Dont make me wait too long for the next chapter, I am on the edge of my seat here!
I loved Severus' medicine chest and all that magic you made up to save his life. Quite brilliant of you.
I forgot to comment last chapter but the news on Luna Malfoy is NOT good. Is there any rescuing her??
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thank you kindly.
things aren't looking too good there, are they
To Severus Snape: International Man of Mystery-the most excellent line of the story.
I must tell you I LOVE THIS!!! This is the best of the post DH compliant stories I have yet read. Everytime I think I have the story figured out, you go somewhere else! I am simply amazed. Well done mystery author!
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
LoL! thank you.
Are you insuiating that Lucius is gay? Too funny! I liked all his plotting!
This is a dark and terrible chapter for Hermione. Where is the spark of hope? ((sniffles))
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
I think he leans in that direction, certainly - although, he's probably mostly in love with his reflection. The plotting was necessary to fulfill the ministry being happy about it part of the prompt:)
Yes, things aren't looking too good, but then forced marriages rerely are.
clap

clap!!! Way to take the most popular prompt and put a unique spin on it. Unless this is supposed to be a RW/HG story?
‘After all I did for him... All that bloody camping.’ Amen to that Hermione! I agree

No it isn't
Thank you :)
Curious... Looking forward to what happens next!

**patiently waits for the next chapter** :))
not the most romantic of landings on the emerald isle! great update and i'm looking forward to further revelations. thanks so much
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
My pleasure. Thanks for reading.
This story is just lovely. Get Hermione away from Ron, please? Snerk. Sorry, not a RW/HG shipper! In any case, this is wonderful so far, and I am very much looking forward to reading more! (Bit of an evil cliffie there, but at least she didn't barf on him!)
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thanks - writing the next chapter as fast as I can
What a way to interrupt a potential intimate moment! At least she wasn't sick on him.
I loved how she made his cauldron into a talisman for him
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)

I know this doesnt mean anything to you and it may sound mean but im not directing it towards you because I know many people like how this goes, but ive been seeing it alot lately and im about to explode so here ya go my rant XD. I hate it when you go into a story and your going along then BAM oh lets just stop the good stuff right now and go back 20 years ago and talk about stuff thats already happened, NOT! I guess its just me but everytime I see it I either stop the story or skip it all, which sucks because then you miss everything but your at the present, not the past. See it wouldnt bother me if you started with the past then said oooooohhhh twenty years later, blah blah blah. I guess I just hate MY past, who knows. Anyways, good work! Cant wait for the present to come back -.- =P
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thanks for the review - there were so many points I could have entered this story, but that's where I chose to do it.
That was so sweet about the cualdron. My goodness, isn't in inconvenient that Hermione married Ron and had kids? You have done a superb job using all of the story presented to us, and still twisting it into SS/HG. Brilliant!
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thanks. Yeah, inconvenient is right. - and there's loads of scope for ss/hg - don't know if you've seen the recent ss/hg exchange on livejournal, but if not, they'll be on the archives soon after the reveal - there are so many inventive ways of bringing severus back that i think a new fanon has been well and truly established. This is my one and only rescue fic - after this, his survival will be taken for granted.
interesting! It started out so sad, this chapter, with Luna and Hermione unhappy. I almost didn't want to read any farther, but I did. and Now I am on to the next chapter in a hurry to see what she recalls! Excellent use of cannon and yet adding details that change the meaning!
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thanks - glad you decided to keep reading :)
I am so in love with this chapter! Wonderful job! Please update soon.
The talisman she created for him is beautiful in concept and execution.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thank you. Glad you like it- I'm working on the TLC chapter as we speak.
Response from mia madwyn (Reviewer)
Awwwwww! Can't wait!
Thank heavens she didn't up-chuck on him, that could have killed off any potential relationship (I speak from experience *grins*).
Brilliant chapter.
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
It was a close call :)
Thank you.
i've just discovered your story and it is really great, if a bit angsty sometimes.
i liked the way you could make the epilogue fit with your plot.
i hope Severus will be able to help hermione and break the enchantement that links her to that-selfish-prat-Ron.
update soon
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Thank you. Glad you're enjoying it.
"Did I really just drip sweat over him?"
You know what's funny; this morning, when I opened my mouth to order coffee, a little drool dribbled down my chin and on the counter...ew it was so embarrassing I thought I might cry... LOL
My point is, this is why I love your Hermione. She's a real woman with real flaws to go with her superpowers.
What an opportunity wasted, though, having Sev on top of her like that
Response from melusin (Author of Three Blooms in the Cauldron)
Not getting many breaks, is she?
Thanks for reviewing.
