Reviews for Transcendent Quality of Remembrance
Ah, another of your stories that I did not want to end. (She twisted her head to look for a sequel, but realized she'd enjoyed this story too much not to leave a review.)
I tried to leave this review after chapter 12, but the review box kept scrambling the order of my words.
Now this box is scrambling, too. you once again.Thank
LOVED that they got "caught". Too funny. And he's in so deep he probably hates it. Great chapter!
Part of me hopes they used a Silencing Charm when they went upstairs, but then again, part of me hopes they didn't! :)
I loved how they handled being caught by Ginny. LOL And his reaction to her request for the antidote was PERFECT -- prickly self-preservation until she reacted and cried. Poor Severus and Hermione! I'm glad they're finding their way out of their mostly-polite stalemate.
I kind of wanted to cheer for them, the way they realized that everyone is alert to their newfound intensity and they just headed up the stairs to go for the glory anyway. And I wonder whether Hermione has been researching her "problem" all along.
hey i wanna conga too! <<shakeing booty , i started this fic on ffnet and missed the party, anywho i had to reread the author's notes to see what i'm missing and whats going on.
but i see your writing with two timelines going, not a writer so <clueless to what plot making is all about.
sooooooooo she wont remember the wedding night? but she'll remember this night right? i hope so i wouldnt wanna go out like that! are you done changing the dates? you know it confuses me lol.
wow!!!!
The beauty inherent in this chapter made me stumble over my words to try to describe it, but the lyrics of this song gave voice to what I wanted to say...
=====
Hermione paced at his side, hurrying a bit to match his long strides, supremely conscious of her slightly sweaty palm clasped in his dry one.
But life began again
The day you took my hand
=====
'Don't cry, little tempest,' he murmured, and when she lunged at him, wrapping her arms about his neck and burying a wet face in his shoulder, he sat down hard on the wooden floor, his bollocks saved from trauma only by his shirt, which had somehow ended up on this side of the bed.
And yes, I know how lonely life can be
The shadows follow me
And the night won't set me free
But I don't let the evening get me down
Now that you're around me
=====
THIS is what makes you such a gifted writer. Thank you for sharing all this beauty with us.
Hugs, Beth
I just love this story, so nice to see Severus and Hermione kind of happy together after all the problems they had until now... They still need to talk though!
But now I want another chapter and I know that isn't going to happen until next Friday *sigh* I should get into the habit of reading slower and rereading the whole story before I start the new chapter....
Ooooh -- am I reading correcty? Is she remembering past the potion? Or is that wishful thinking? :)
I hope your daughter's wedding goes beautifully! Have a fabulous time!
I sured hope Severus doesn't blow her off now! This could be great for their marriage if they're both honest with each other. I really don't want her to go away to school, and I'm on edge every chapter, worrying that he will discover her plans before they can get their marriage together. They still have to deal with the bad guys in this story.
Thank you for the update. I hope you and your family have a great wedding next weekend!
OhMyGod, that was lovely. The tenderness he showed his bride on their wedding night was breathtaking.
When Hermione awoke I wished Severus had still been with her, but when he woke up before she did, he just had to get moving. With all the uncertainty and recriminating thoughts swirling around in his mind, I can understand the need to "just get up and do something!"
As Severus sits under that tree recalling their wedding night and their love making from the night before, I hope he can get his thinking straight enough to realize that Hermione's feelings for him are real and true, and that there must be a very strong bond between them for her to be able to relive their wedding night in her dreams and visions. I hope it won't take Hermione long to suss out his whereabouts.
I like the magically dissolving bridal robes. I'll just bet they do fuel many a young wizard's fantasies.
Hermione's injunction to Severus to 'Hurry!' she urged. 'But try to go slow … it's always over so quickly, and I always want it to last and last …'' made me smile. How like this tempest in a teacup to be certain that she "tells everything she knows."
Thank you for such a fabulous chapter, m'dear. Please try to take care of yourself this weekend and enjoy it and the week leading up to your daughter's wedding.
With much love and hugs,
Beth
AHA! Things start to fall into place. So she's sharing HIS memories in her dream state? And he thinks she doesn't remember anything at all (granted...so does she, but that's another matter).
Why he feels guilty, though, is beyond me. Stupid man. :p
I hope the wedding is beautiful and that you will enjoy every minute of it. Too many of my friends have ultimately just wanted to "get through" the wedding after being worn down by the preparations. I hope the wedding day will dawn bright and trouble free so that you and your daughter can simply enjoy it.
I wonder if Severus realizes that the potion "leaks" memories.
So what was Hermione doing from 97-98? My assumption is that Snape married her after Dumbledore left and Umbridge showed up. Was he in a relationship with Vector?
Oh. HOLY HELL. That was AWESOME. *HIGHFIVE*
Man. Oh. Man.
Cigerette, you say? BONFIRE, I retort.
Maybe a shower will put it out.
(((hugs)))
"And in that instant when she might have died, instead, she fell. Weightless, through time and space and memory, every nerve synapse in her body firing, until all was bedazzling white light, her cry (and his?) echoing in her mind as strong arms enveloped her, and the voice she heard in her dreams was at her ear."
It is said that we reach a state of spiritual bliss at the point of orgasm. That the unity we feel is not just with the other participant, but with the universe.
This is one of the most intense and beautifully written love scenes I have ever read. And you didn't need explicit depictions of body parts to make it that way. My heart was hammering still, even after the second read-through.
I will wait impatiently for the next chapter. Now, go take good care of your daughter and yourself, and have a wonderful wedding full of joy, happiness, and as little drama as possible.
Can barely type, not enough, need more.
I'll come back when I can formulate a thought that isn't WOW O-O
brilliant, just, brilliant.
Maybe a great magnet pulls
All souls towards truth
Or maybe it is life itself
Leads wisdom
To its youth
Constant Craving is the perfect song for this chapter! What came first— the chicken or the egg?
Had the dreams been caused by the attraction, or had the attraction been caused by the dreams? She had tried before to puzzle it out, and it never seemed that she reached a conclusion.
Having walked in on Severus and Tima with their heads together, along with her husband's reaction, I can see how Hermione had come to harbor the notion that Severus and Professor Vector had had a relationship that was far more than just friendship. That would make me wonder, too. But when I think about it and try to figure out what they might have been talking about if it wasn't about his attraction to Septima... could it have been Severus' growing feelings for his wife?
I was delighted that Hermione was still awake when Severus came in their bedroom, and felt like dancing when she told him that she wanted them to "make love." And her answer to his question, 'How shall we begin?' could not have been more perfect. Beginning as they did on their wedding night would not only bring both of them badly needed relief, it would help her to put flesh on the mostly elusive bones of her dreams and visions that she could never quite recall.
Their love making was glorious! The melding of their dreams and desires was just what I was hoping for. The scent of sandalwood and musk is very intoxicating.
Thank you for this wonderful chapter, and I hope these next couple of weeks will pass with little or no undue drama and lots of love and the making of good memories. Now, let's have a cigarette.
Beth
Oh my! So hot! But beautiful too. Now I just wait to see which Severus wakes up in the morning. The one she's "been" married to, or this SLIGHTLY more approachable one. hmmmmm waiting sucks, but in this case it's usually so worthwhile. Don't run yourself too ragged. The mother of the bride shouldn't look ready to fall over!!! ^.~
Looky here, you've actually assuaged the "asking questions" part of my brain. Just enough info to grab hold of but still so many dangling pieces. LOVE IT!! Off to the next... (you're definitely much busier than I, but there are still some things down here that prevented me from reading this chapter for a bit. lol)
*Sighs happily* It's a wonderful moment for them. Lots of intriguing knots left to untangle, though. Thank you for finally resolving the bedroom situation to my -- I mean, Hermione's -- satisfaction
