Talk about a funk - being confined is still confinement - regardless of the cage. Too bad Seve can't confide a bit more... Oh, well. Good chapter by the way - but I hope they get together again.

I really enjoyed this chapter. It was very dark but it was a very dark situation that Hermione was in and I like that you didn't sugar coat it. I think Snape reacted just as he would given his character - not that that means it's "appropriate" but that's how I see Snape in this fic and I think you did his character justice (I think Hermione's reaction was spot on as well).

You know, I’ve finally been catching up, I kind of lost it around Ch 16, and am now up to date. I think I already said I like this story, but I’ve finally figured out why, LOL. The plot is a new take on Severus, and I really like that! I also like the fact that you incorporate canon from HBP without any difficulty whatsoever.

OO oh war - blood shed and meyhem! Thank gods you had Hermione even think to look at her parchment! and is Bell really being compliant? that crazy witch? You're kidding...Hate to keep writing the same thing over and over - but well done! ... very well done.

Oh, My ohhh!  From the beginning I knew he’d come after her and that he’d be in a terrible state. Although, how on earth could Hermione not expect him to enact revenge. Surely she knows how dark and possessive he is?  Still, it was a brutal attack and would be devastating to witness…  Very well done, this and the one before – very exciting two chapters and you have each character so much in character that they are reacting exactly how I’d envisioned them too.  Loved it!

AHHHHH, you're torturing me again.  Brilliant chapter but I really, and I mean REALLY need to know what happens next.  Great story.

Totally love this story – even suggested it to someone else! Your characterizations are spot on and so well done – it’s like reading/being with the Snape and Hermione that I know.   I love how you have them occasionally not understand each other – it’s perfect!

I really enjoyed the little scene with the common room portrait, it was a nice bit of comic relief, just in the right spot.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

how about we skip the next chapter and go onto the next one.  which would be the victory celebration - right? 

excellent chapter.  snape feeling a little insecure about hp/hg...  well they've been friends for a long time.

i bet snape is glad hermione asked for a duplicate map of his.  besides he has more of a connection to her than he realises.

Just recently stumbled into this fanfic fandom, and this is one of my favorites. Despite the happy ending the plot did not suffer. Also, excellent insight in giving the characters more than one dimension. Consistently great in each chapter.

This is so the Voledmort that we read in HBP! Twisted, conniving, manipulative well hidden masterily behind cool, caculated wording and phrases... OOOhhh AHhhhh.
