Reviews for Luring the Enchantress
Thank you. Thank you for writing such a great story. The final battle scene was great. You made the characters more human, even the death eaters. I also think that the hex happened for a reason, not only for Hermione to grow up some, but for Severus to get the rest he needed. For some reason I don’t think he would have taken it on his own. I do think both Hermione and Severus are very much in character. Well the way I intemperate them. Thanks again for writing such a great story.
I’m enjoying your story very much. So many things I like. I’m glad that you have Spinners End, and how Hermione has made it into a home. I’m also interested in your subplots: H&G, D&G, T&L and R&P. Usually I just either skip or skim these passages in other fics, but in your story I am not. You are making these couples interesting. One negative point about your story is that I am too busy reading it and ignoring house work and other things I have to do.
Interesting. I don't think it matters at this point which side snape's on, he loves her - just doesn't know it to be anything beyond his desire for ownership yet. But we all know which side he's really on - unless you pul out all the stops and turn the tables. Cheers
No, I think Moldiemort did it, Snape just really wanted to, and we all know that when even the most 'faithful' of the Death Eaters want something, Moldi-arse doesn't give it to them. Besides, I don't think your Snape is too cold-blooded, he was giving a warning. Interestiong about Ginny, though. She exposed her own secrets and then blabbed Hermione's? I wonder if she made up that stuff about Tonks. The only right match for Klutzy, funny Tonks was Lupin. This is exceptional and 'ensnaring my senses'! You go!
I'm sorry I haven't been reveiwing each chapter, but after I got through the first couple of chapters I was too caught up in the story to stop. This seemed like a good place to stop and give some feedback. I'm really enjoying this fic and all the different strands of the tale you have going. Even though it is sad that Ron died I think you did justice to him. He turned out to have a hero's end, even though he was originally quite a git. Poor Pansy. I like Draco and Ginny. If she is not with Harry, I enjoy seeing her ewith Draco. It seems like a good fit. Well you have us in quite a state here. I must continue to see what happens to Ship SS/HG, which is where my true interests lie.
I am impressed. I've read other authors that claim a purely survival-oriented-Snape-slowly-corrupted-by-love, but you made it very believable and human. Masterfully written!
I think Ron keeps digging himself in deeper every time he opens his mouth. I can certainly see Hermione being charmed by Severus' tricks, especially if Ron is the only other male whose attention she has had to compare it to.
The plot is thickening nicely.
Oh that sneaky, sneaky Snape. He sure isn't wasting any time putting his plan into action.
I've just begun this story because it is one of the award winning fics from the first round of the SS/HG Awards that I hadn't read yet. I truly enjoyed the prologue. You already have me wondering about Snape's alliance.
WOW so good! I love this little dark Hermione moment at the end.~amazed & honored to read this

thank you very much. I'm happy you enjoyed it
I read this because of the SSHG award. I wish I had read it earlier. I really like it! I like the way you make Severus' uncertain loyalty, I was holding my breath when Voldemort won the first time and he doesn't mind to live under his thumb. I like the part where you switch Severus' side, the fact that Dumbledore trust him still. And the unhurried-ness of telling this, I really like how you picture his dilemma on the matter. But most of all, I really really like the building tension between Severus and Hermione. And the way he would manipulate things around to gain the advantage, the sneaky Severus! And the way you picture Hermione too! I thought it is more realistic to write Hermione that way. Innocent and acting childishly but mature quickly as she learned how to get what she wants with Severus. This story affected me so much especially near the ending when I thought he had passed on. I mean, really! There's still 3 and a half chapter to go, surely Severus didn't die... but then I was reminded of 'Deathly-bloody-Hallows' where that was what happened!! *cries* And I thought I was over the denial! Apparently I haven't, you should have seen the way that I cried with relief when I read the part where he had fallen into a sort of coma. I was sobbing like crazy, people might think someone actually had died!
And then I cried when he asked her to let him go in her dream. I thought this is it then, that's way this story is going to end. I even cried harder when she woke up kissing him!! LOL, what a sad picture I must have made myself! But you write this story so well, and excellent, I can only bow to you. I'm only glad I read it alone in my room, or I couldn't express myself freely, hehe...
Finally, the heated moments between them, aah, how can I find fault in them... ;) They're what I always look forward too! ;) Slow seduction indeed...
This is definitely one of my top favourite fanfics and I have like 2 at the moment. I've read hundreds of SSHG fanfics, mind, and love a lot of them, but this is one of the top 3. :)

Thank you so very much for the long and thoughtful review. I definitely appreciate it. :) I had someone leave a review saying, "YOu've killed Severus! I'll never read your stories again."LOL The poor dear. If she'd only kept reading, she'd have seen it was all part of the plot. :) Sometimes we get so involved in what we're reading that we come to "know" the characters, so it does hurt indeed when they are hurt or killed off. I'm the same way.I hope you continue to find lovely stories. Thank you again. :)

With such wonderful story, the least I could do is to let you know how much it affected me. :) I agree that the more we read of Severus, the more protective we are of him. I'm not good at writing, but I'm very glad that there are writers like you who have the same idea as I am. :)
I'm re-reading LtE again. I find it very interesting this second time around when he adamantly insist that she was his and that he would never let her go only to finally realized that if you love someone, you have to learn to let her go. But I find his possessiveness very enticing!

Yes, indeed~adds~:)
Bravo! I breathed a sigh of relief a chapter or so ago when I realized Severus wasn't dead - just knew there had to be something going on there. During the war, I kept saying 'no he's not really dead' but then it began to seem obvious that he was, especially with the character death warning - great suspense, and a great story.
I really hope this is not the end for Sev and Hermione. As mad as I have been at each of them in different parts of your tale, I really want them to work it out. Plus, Snape jsut seems to be bedoming a better and better person whether he wants to or not - although I always thought that way of him - reluctantly good. Glad I don't have to wait to find out what happens since this story is complete and I'm really gald I stumbled upon it!

I'm so happy that you are "enjoying" it. :) Things will get better, and hopefully, you like how it all goes. It's so much better to have a story t hat's completed! I appreciate the other reviews you've been leaving too. I haven't had time to reply just yet since I'm working on my exchange story. ~grin~
Your Snape seems very true to canon. Like in DH where he did everything he did for Lily (though I didn't really like that about the way JKR chose to portray him), now he seems to do each act just based on what will keep Hermione happy - all the same, I'm glad he finally made the "good" choice. It has restored my faith in him a bit regardless of his reasons. I'm happy I can like him once agian since I think he's such a great character.
Hermione - shakes head - she really is very young. She certainly does a lot of giving in the relationship - excusing, accepting, and giving the benefit of the doubt to the point of delusion. Although Severus doesn't have complete control of her actions and outbursts, he really does seem to weild her like a masterful puppetteer. But I remember your warning at the beginning of this fic 'a tale of deliberate seduction' so I guess I couldn't expect him to all of a sudden let go of his control and succumb to love or loyalty or "good".I hope to see Hermione get a perverbial slap up side the head to knock some sense in to her and for Severus... he maybe just needs a slap period! :)
Severus is kind of breaking my heart right now. I guess I pulled a bit of a Hermione and I just really thought eventually he would prove "good". What's worse, is I think I still am holding out a little hope but...as I said, 'breaking my heart a little' :(Great writing and an excellent take on Snape!I think seeing Hermione play the 'whore' is Snape's undoing right now. Or maybe more than he can handle would be a better way to say it.
I liked how your portraid the 'rebound' (GW) and the guilt (RL)associated with a kiss. Just imagine if he'd gone furthur?Severus is really going to have a hard time if he doesn't come to terms with Hermoine. The way I see it, he's going to have to chose sides if he's ging to keep her, and I doubt she'll kneel willingly to Voldemort!.Love this - but I need to sleep!
When it rains, it pours - and in this case, it poured out well!I'm totally loving this!

Augh! This is such a great story!I love how possessive Severus is about Hermione and how he just doesn't really realize just how much he's fallen for her or that she's gotten under his skin.Poor, Ron, still clueless - What's up with Draco... Why the attack?A Six stars... but I can only give five.
Ahhhh, poor Ron. Ah well, we all knew they were wrong for each other. The kiss was perfect - subtle, suggestive and leaving her to ponder everthing...
