I decided to play with a notorious stereotype about "The Ugly American" and have her be a bit brash. I'm having a lot of fun with this "fish out of water." Perhaps I should have named the fic <i>An American Witch in Hogwarts</i>...
Excellent way to bring in background information--not too much all at once while still keeping with current events.

Thank you. I'm hoping to maintain the character's air of mystery but still give readers some idea of where she's coming from and what drives her.
