I just wish that Ron and Samantha could be happy together.  Perhaps if he sees Hermione happy, he'll get over her and move on.  That seems too easy, though.  And, I was in total agreement with Narcissa: Lucius' Weasley baiting could have backfired.  I wonder what Hermione will have to say about all of this?

LOL - I love that Lucius decided to torture Ron a bit... and that Shorty refused to help. I feel badly for Samantha, though. Excellent update! 

Always honest? Nonsense! Hermione can be ruthlessly devious when she considers the cause sufficiently important. That's one reason she would make such a good Slytherin (her drive to be best at what she does is another), and will therefore be an excellent mate for the former Head of Slytherin House.

This was a great chapter. Thanks for continuing to write with all the pressures of grad school, work, coaching, family and life in general. I don't know what the course of the chapter was, but I love how the plot seems to thicken. Terrific new story, thanks again.

I hate my keyboard. I'd been working on a review for your story for over an hour... *poof* Gone. And now all my writing brain is that overstretched hairband you were hoping you wouldn't have to toss. I guess I'll try to handwrite some of the key words to jog recollection for trying again later. In summary I like your story; it hit all points on my good-fic checklist; you mentioned the pacing: I, too, am enjoying the build; and I can relate to Hermione's experiences and feelings. A lot of what she's going through hits close to home... thankfully with a couple years worth of distance to give some of it perspective, but there are enough present parallels to some of my reflections and concerns for the future that have resurged over the past couple weeks that finding your story today just ... I don't know, it's downright eery or fortuitous or some combination of the two. Granted, I'm forever unintentionally finding ways to connect to things or connect other things together, but there's that sort of general sense of connection that helps you to enjoy something and then there's the 'holy sh*t' kind. If that makes sense. It might not, since this 'summary' ran away from me, which is usually a warning flag. Anyway. I am glad to have found it for just the sake of enjoying your story. All that personal reflection waited while I was caught up in your world instead of mine, just sort of heightening the impact. It's great to find a story that hooks you in like that, you know? Loving the build, as I mentioned. Really looking forward to your next chapter and seeing how things progress for these two.

Ron, Ron, Ron...when will he learn? Looks like he's on his way to botching up his new relationship. Silly boy.  LOVED the ending of this chapter! Too funny and he had it coming.  Looking forward to seeing what happens next!

If Ron tries that attitude  with Severus he will never have children of his own, if Severus doesn't hex his ball off, Hermione will.

Ron being a drunken git.  Enjoyed it.  Lucius up to his usual tricks.  Marvelous.

Ron is such aN IDIOT.  Can't believe he is going to try getting her back.  Loved Lucius batting Ron.  I hope he dose find her with Severus.  He will tear him to pieces with just words alone. 

No moonlight and roses, but there is a good chance that love can blossom. I wonder what Mr and Mrs granger will think of the match, we will have to wait and see. 

Sometimes all it takes is a gentle nudge from a friend to move us forward, with Severus it needs a cattle prod, it's a good thing Lucius knows that, and has the skill to avoid being caught in the fall out.

Rufus Fudge's gentle nature didn't stop him ripping into Hermione, did it? compromise and take guidance is "man speak" for shut up, and do as you're told. It takes a lot of living to understand the line" sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers" 

Severus has turned down his temper and started the think clearly, now all we need Is Hermione to do the same.

Very sneaky Hermione, but the right thing to do, Ron wouldn't have told the truth otherwise.

As much as Harry would like to see his best friends marry, it wouldn't work, they love each other but not enough, the knocks and shocks of life would batter that love to dust. Glad to see Severus and Hermione getting together to get the best Ulbrook.   

Poor Hermione, it's hard to let go of long held dreams, but sometimes the new dreams have more of a chance to come true.

Subtle as a brick there Mandy, I have a feeling that Ms Ulbrook is about to see a side of Severus that she won't enjoy.

Well that was the dinner party from hell, for Ron and Hermione. I'm happy for Harry and Ginny, also for Neville and Hanna , but it was like rubbing salt into the wounds, Ron and Hermione.

They have such different expectations of marriage, Ron sees his mum a happy homemaker, and thinks that any woman is going to be happy as a stay at home mum. Many women are, I was one of them, and don't regret it for one second, but Hermione would she would feel pulled apart if she has children before she's ready. All Ron wants is a family, wife and kids that love him, like his dad has, and why not. if that's what makes him happy, but you can't make yourself happy by making someone else miserable. Somethings got to give.  

Ron hasn't so much cut the cord, as stretched it, warped it round Harry and Ginny, and tied it in a bow. I love small dogs, but I don't see Crooks getting along with Muffin too well.

Going back to school is good! Wish I could afford it. *grin*If I remember correctly, this is where you ended at Potter_Place archive. Does this mean we'll be seeing new material from here on out? ^_^

Wow, they move fast!  Glad to see they're not expecting more of each other than what they've already agreed and not viewing one another with rose tinted glasses.
