Hermione's life takes an unexpected turn due to a medical issue. What she wants is still possible, just not with the man she thought she'd have it with. Meanwhile, Severus is being pushed in different directions. Luckily, one of those paths lead to Hermione. This is a take on LOTM's YLC Challenge.

Your Ron and Hermione make me so sad. What choice do you make? Stay with the person you love, but sacrifice your life goals, or stay true to your plans for the future, but go for it without the one you love? I always want Severus and Hermione to end up together, but I do hope that Ron and Hermione find a way to make it work as friends.

Oh, this is really a very interesting plot. I just adore your Severus, I love his personality so far and I did joy his answers. LOL Poor Hermione, I have a feeling there will be a problem with fertility due to her period problems, which ofcourse will be perfect if her future husband is the ever snarky Potions Master.

This is the first story I've read in a while, and I can say I've really enjoyed it. I am eager to see how the rest of this tale plays out.
Wow. It's great for Hermione to completely clear the air with her parents and then have Severus go round and smooth things over after. Looking forward to seeing their wedding!

The Grangers are learning a lesson that all parents must learn, that it is not possible protect your child from life, it is a very painful lesson, but one every parent learns. Hermione did what she had to do in order to keep her parents safe. I hope Severus was able to help them see how very helpless they would have been, against the Voldermort and the death eaters.

Yes, it's been a while. Interestingly, my old laptop died, and I lost a lot of files, including most of this story. It was disheartening. Add to that grad school and work full time, that explains my lack of updates. It is what it is. I shall do my best to upload soon.
I think their total honesty is going to be very important to their relationship. I do feel bad for Ron, and I hope he doesn't do anything stupid. Well, more than he already has. I'm glad to hear more chapters are on the way.

I think Ron has a bit of a journey, but not all journeys end badly. :) Honesty = big part of it for sure.

Loved the update, totally trilled that Hermione decided to present Ron and the others with a done deal with no room for change, I totally agree with that (especially since I want Ron gone from her life in any romantic way sooner rather than later).

Yeah, sometimes we make decisions, but with the right persuasion, those decisions can change. She's being safe rather than sorry. :)
I think things are about to get rather interesting, can't wait to see what Severus will say to Ron. Perhaps its for the best if they are married before they see him lol. I realy liked this chapter, it showed how well matched they are even if they don't realize it yet. Well Done
