Hermione's life takes an unexpected turn due to a medical issue. What she wants is still possible, just not with the man she thought she'd have it with. Meanwhile, Severus is being pushed in different directions. Luckily, one of those paths lead to Hermione. This is a take on LOTM's YLC Challenge.

I still think she made the right choice to not have children until she was ready. I think she was just lonely and will realize she did make the right choice in the first place
Could be for the best after all. :)
I have firsthand experience with Endometriosis (my mother had it and it took her 8 years to get pg with me - her only.) so I'm very optimistic for Hermione. But the rest, well, I hope Hermione doesn't change her mind like the wind changes direction on every topic...

I know I wish my husband and I could have just remained friends. It's smart that Hermione and Ron could figure this out before they married and had children. Severus is still, a hoot.
I can't say I blame either Ron or Hermione. Sometimes goals are just too different to put aside. But Severus, on the other hand, was too funny!
Ron is very single-minded, but at least he's willing to concede a few years.
I'm a dog person . Allergic to cats kind of trumps the issue...
There are teasing little hints of what Severus has been up to, but nothing solid as yet. Harry has grown up at last, hopefully Ron will as well, but I'm
not holding my breath. Next the wedding.
Brilliant update, I am proud of your Harry who did not sway into Ron and Ginnys whish to persuade Hermione to give Ron another chance, but stood by Hermione in her decission. Harry and Severus may never be best friends, but hopefully they will be able to be talk without wands:-))
Another great chapter Southern. Loved Harrys answer to the Ron problem. I think Severus & hermione will be just fine together.

You know what's bad, I found another story on my computer that I started, but I don't know if I posted it anyplace. Maybe I put it at Potter Place Archives. I can't be certain. I'm gonna have to post it though. LOL I did look in my mail for chapters of that to post. Don't see it. I don't use my old pc anymore where they are saved, and it's in storage, but I should be able to find it when I pull it out and have it "saved" by my pc friend. I did ask someone if they had a copy, and she told me we posted them all there but maybe didn't hit complete when we did. I thought we had as well. Didn't it end with Hedwig or Harry? hmmmm...

The last chapter for the story, which you shared with everyone at the email list, ended with Hedwig. If I recall, that was not the last chapter posted at PPA. Therefore, I would have to conclude that the story was not completed at PPA. Does this make sense to you. The last posting to TPP was in June of 2010. *whine on* I really want to see this story finished! *whine off* ^_^

The person I asked wasn't one of the authors, though, but she usually saved the fics people posted to her pc for reading offline. :( We'll find something. If you got the emails, do you still happen to have them for posting? :)

I have a doc you sent out that has some of the chapters and ends with Hedwig's chapter, but it's not the complete series. In fact, you state in the email that you're still waiting on several chapters (a couple of which I remember showing up later on PPA). Did you want a copy of the doc file?
