Hmm, Ron makes his apology, then makes his ultimatum.... "My way my timing, or not at all". It might be in more moderate language but he's not giving any ground at all.


 Interesting his observations about his mother.

I like your portrayal of Ron. He comes across as mature and caring. Severus filling out his application was hilarious. I'm betting it wont be as easy to fix as he thinks. Looking forward to more.

Thank you so much for the update. I was trilled to get a glimpse of Severus in this chapter, his answears to the questionary will probably give him just the perect witch, Hermione. She just have to get rid of Ron first, due to my allergy for that pairing, the sooner the relationship between him and Hermione  ends, the happier I will be:-))

What an ugly situation to be in! While I prefer Severus and Hermione as a couple in fanfic, I still happen to like Ron, and I always appreciate when authors can form a SS/HG pairing without making Ron a really bad guy. I hope he continues to be mature and steps away gracefully.

Severus and his questionaire had me cracking up. He's going to have a fit if they hold him to it.

No, sometimes things don't work out the way you think they will.  Severus for one needs to be happy, that is what needs to be worked on.  

Oh dear, so close to Harry.  Poor Ron needs to have so many people around him and Hermione just needs a bit of solitude.

ugh, whatta mess.

I like the way you have revealed plot and shown the conflict in natural conversation.

In effect Hermione says “I want you to understand why my beliefs are important to me.”

And Ron says “If you loved me you’d want to please me and do things my way.”

He has expectations for a perfect future that doesn’t seem to have taken into account Hermione wanting anything other than what he has planned for them. How does he respond to her challenge? He uses anger, disapproval, misattributions, withdrawal of affection and ultimatums…not an honest attempt to engage with Hermione.

It’s telling that he’s not concerned about the new Ministry legislation adversely affecting others, so long as it’s not him being forced.

I’m interested to see how this all develops.

Well, it's better that they get things out in the open now instead of five years down the road when she desperately doesn't want to keep her promise, and he throws a big fit because of it.  And, Hermione and Ron aside, divorce is always hardest on the pets, LOL.  I look forward to the next chapter!

Oh, Ron.  I find him lovable but clueless.  He did honor her request to not propose in front of the Weasleys, but when she said she wanted it, just not right now, did he think that an hour later constituted not right now?  Still, I hope she lets him down easy.  I am looking forward to where ever this adventure takes us!

Poor Ron--I bet he did want to propose at the Burrow!  All his family and friends there, and Hermione a captive audience so to speak.  Not that I think he felt he needed to corner her, but I'm sure the chess player in him subconsciously felt the odds would stack more heavily in his favor that way.

Can't wait for the next chapter...and the next...and the next...
