It began with a letter, and a secret. Was it madness to trust? Was it a secret salvation? Or was it all just lying on a ring, in the end...? (***HBP SPOILERS***)

I have to apologize to everyone, period. Real life swallowed me whole, as I have been struggling to make a living writing original fiction over the last 8 years. It has not been easy, & has been complicated by health issues. I hope people can forgive my long silences. Trying to make enough money to live on from writing is a lot harder--waaaay harder--than it looks. (At least I didn't leave any posted fanfics unfinished.)
Anyhoo...
These stories are works of parody (& thus are allowable under US law), and are not written for profit. Just for fun. I'm not making any money off of any fanfics, nor will I ever. I'm just playing around in other writers' universes.
...I am, however, making something of a living off my own stories. (If anyone wants to play around in my universes, you may visit my website, www.jeanjohnson.net, and look up my policy on Fanfics & Fanarts. It's reasonable enough and fairly easy to follow, too...)

Oh My God. This book was so incredibly wonderful and intense. I didn't do anything this entire weekend because I had to finnish reading this book. I absolutley love this version of the ending. I think I like this story better as the conclusion to the series. I am a big fan of J.K. Rowling, don't get me wrong, but some part of me was wishing you had written the Harry Potter series. (Of course I could never have let my sons read it.)I loved the character developement. I loved seeing Ron use his mind and get credit for how really intelligent he is when he is not being a git. I was nice to see Ron and Harry come to terms with Serverus. It was also wonderful to see Severus recognized for the sweet, incredibly sexy if a bit snarky hero that he is.You have an amazing gift, thank you for sharing it with us lowly muggles.(The only reason I found this is because I finnished "The Storm" and was looking for something, anything to read of yours during the unbelievably torturous long time until the next book comes out in December. The more I reread the series the more frustated I get that we have to wait until December. I am trying to destract myself.)

...Muahahah? (Oops, that was my out-loud voice...sowwy.) Take a deep breath...let it out...relaaaaax...and try not to grind your teeth too much over the fact that if you think December is a long time away, just try to ignore the fact that the last book won't come out until April! ...Don't grind your teeth; it's not good for them. And don't growl at me (too much)...the original release date was the start of March, but for some idiotic reason, the publisher pushed it back a month. *groan*I have no control over the release dates, other than that I had to have enough time to write each story, hence the few months' difference between each release date.As for IA...I'm very glad I could please you with it. I'm keeping this one as my book 7 for the HP series...for obvious, your sons can't read it reasons. *snerk*~Lotm

She's going to have to tell him. That she saw what he said reflected in the ring. And she's going to be thoroughly disconsolate about it the entire time, isn't she?
For years now, I've had dreams about flying. It's one of two dreams I've ever had repeatedly. And it's *ALWAYS* about basically swimming through the air. Sometimes, I have to get a running start (*MUCH* like Powerbocking, although I've never actually done that), and once I'm going, as long as I can stay up (even if I occasionally get close to the ground and then kick off again), I'm fine.
I'm CONVINCED that if I could merely *GET AIRBORNE*, I could do it.
The idea of the Mark being a Horcux is *grand*.
And boy, is Hermione ever lucky it didn't show her Snape is Russel! >.<
They are preparing well, even the boys are studying without too much trouble. The conversation between Severus and Hermione was very sad, he is so alone he can't even write out in the open, he has to huddle under the covers.
Um. How has she not figured out that Russell=Snape, if she knows Snape is the Secret Keeper, and that they're at Riddle Manor (and how did she find out they were at Riddle Manor? I thought they were at Malfoy Manor?)
I get mated in six moves all the time, so I know it's possible.
I *SUCK* at chess.
I'm surprised he *kept talking to her* while she was in a meeting, and even more surprised she tolerated it.
And telling him *WHICH* meeting she was at was probably not wise. Meh.
Ok, I admittedly didn't read this again. I read it long ago, and while I'd love nothing more than to go for a reread, time doesn't allow. But... back when I read this, I was a lurker and did not review stories. There is no way I would ever have time to go back and leave comments on all of the things I loved back in the day, so I haven't. Since this ended up as a featured story, I thought I'd stop by. I absolutely loved this story. I could give specifics but there was nothing to dislike, so I'd just be recapping the entire thing. Thanks for a fantastic read!
Very well written, loved it.
I like the nicknames for Voldemort. How about Mouldy-sort?

Read it before elsewhere, loved it, reading it again, and reviewing this time! :)
Fantastic! I loved this story! (Especially the bit where Scrimgeour gets what's coming! Even if it was total fiction!) I've really enjoyed this. Thank you.

You're welcome.~Lotm
oh my goodness
i thought that this story was absolutely amazing and you are now going into my list of favorite authors.
i love how you wrote up the trial, it was very nail-bitingly interesting to read.
you truly are a great writer and an inspiration for me.
its writers like you that i love to beta for because you are just so talented in making a story like a ss/hg romance taht probably would never happen, possible and even plausible!
congrats on your wonderful story and writing skills
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
Thanks! The trial was a goal I was working toward for pretty much the whole length of the story. I knew it was going to happen, and most of how it was going to happen, and I'm very pleased to say that I managed to make it happen!Hugs, and glad you loved it,~Lotm
I was hooked from the first chapter. Your story is brilliantly and beautifully written.
I guessed Russel was Severus after a few chapters but had absolutely no idea on how Hermione could find out. Her reactions were fantastic! So incredibly well written, it's as though I was in the room with them, feeling every ounce of agony she felt!
I love this story and loved reading it.

Yay!! *lurves torturing enthralling her readers...*~Lotm
Wow what an adventure! Quite sexy too. Although a few things sounded funny dialogue-wise, I enjoyed your version of post-HBP events
I think that was the best ending ever. I acutally enjoyed Albus's death I think it was just the way he'd want to go out surrounded by the people who loved, trusted, and admired him (just as he did them). You have an amazing talent for getting me head over heels in love with this story. Thank you for letting me have my fantasy world to escape to

I love this FAnfic it's amazing...
the best part of this chapter had to be
"I'll take over"
"Sit down, corneilus"
I laughed out loud literally....
you're amazing **hugs**
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
That one was good, yes... I also liked "lumbering, anesthetized brainstem", heehee. (Can't remember which of the 3 trial chapters it was in, however.)~Lotm
Wow. From the first conversation in this chapter to the last. I don't think that was anything I ever expected. You certainly should win something for originality!
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
It's up to my readers as to whether or not they'd nominate, let alone vote for anything I write. I just write to give people something that's hopefully a lot of fun to read. But I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter so much; I worked hard on the dialogue and plot twists in this story.Hugs,~Lotm
I found the link to this story through the Multifaceted Awards and I've never been to this archive before. I'm really excited to start this story because it's off to such a promising start. I love the character of Mr. Lubbock, the conversation between he and Granger was so honest. I can't wait to see what else awaits in the upcoming chapters. Your characterization of Granger has really been true to form.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
Thanks! I liked Mr. Lubbock's character, too. He turned out to be very fun for such a minor character. I hope the rest of Hermione's characterization continues to please you! (Along with the other characters, too.)~Lotm
I jsut had som wonderfull days reading your story. Thank you
