absolutely wonderful.  i can't imagine how hard it was to keep this story on track.  thanks for writing such an excellent story.  there were many parts that i loved especially the courtroom scene - fudge and scrimegour getting what they deserved.  thanks for the happy ending!!

Welp, I have officially finished the first chapter! Aren't you and Nicole happy? I rather enjoy this story, I'm just so lazy to read longer fics other than PoH, hehe, but I shall pic this up tomorrow and read a chapter a day, maybe even two -gasps- Looks, like Hermione is getting the knack of the ring thing now and that poor poor dog, that almost made me cry! Congratulations, you have another fan of this story, and I have been a fan of yours since way back when, but I'm a dork and hardly ever leave reviews! This is an amazing story.  i have been "spellbound" since i started reading it.  i am positive i know where it is going.  and i like the thought.  but i am afraid of the ending and i know if it doesn't go the way i want i will be too disappointed to do justice to a review.  So i will review it in the middle and hopefully again in the end.  I realize a not-happy ending does not diminish the quality of the writing which is "bloody brilliant" to say the least.  the characters are complex and in-depth.  Thanks for writing so that i can enjoy the characters as you take them out and play.  i will say it again.  this is an amazing story - i love the plot.  being a snape fan i didn't like hbp or dh as much as i greatly enjoyed the first 5.  i know your snape isn't a good person or even a main character although i have hopes but it is in character for him.  i apologize for going all "fangirl"y on you but it is a great story.  i know it is completed so i can't really beg for a happy ending but i really hope it is. 

So I'm doing a second read of this story right now, and I have to say, very nice passing mention of CPR. Very JKR-esque. Hehe, and I love this story, I really do.

I just love happy endings, and this is the best kind.  To survive a war you thought would kill you to marriage, children and grandchildren, a career that makes you happy are all blessings.

This is definitely the best HP fanfic that i've ever read!!! You did such a great job! I loved how Russel ended up being Snape, I had a feeling that was going to happen (and I'm so glad that it did!!)I wish that I hadn't finished reading so fast, I'm going to be at a complete loss for things to do! I guess I'll have to read the rest of your stories... your other ones that I have read were great too!Keep up the awesome work!

A beautiful and laugh inspiring diversion in a difficult time.? I teach in the inner city, and his kind of story to take solace in was a life saver.? You really captured the inventiveness and excitement of canon and the best of sensuality and darkness that fanon has to offer.? I have read a lot of fic, and it is hard to surprise me anymore.? I've been taking my time to read this -  it's one of those fics that I found I just had to take my time to savour. It's fantastic. Brilliant. I really liked all the plot-points you thought up, and the way it moved, and your writing also was excellent. I had been sort of drifting away from this pairing but you have reaffirmed my faith in the ship =)

 I really liked the whole dance there with Hermione not knowing Russel's true identity. Your explanations on the horcruxes were inspired, and I love the way you brought the Room of Requirement into it. Snape - brilliant characterisation. Hermione's pov was a pleasure to read.  The wand exhibition! And Flitwick. This epilogue is great. The smut was hot, the angst heartfelt, and the story - just fabulous. Well done.

I couldn't NOT review such an amazing story. I've only been reading HP fanfic for a couple of years, and it wasn't until recently that I ventured from FFN to find so many more SS/HG fics! This is easily one of my top faves, I've read a ton of fanfics but only a few have completely enraptured me and been so believable as an alternative to canon. I also thought you balanced the drama, angst, violence, smut, etc. really well. As much as I LOVED FSS (which I read not too long ago!) my stomach and heart were relieved that the violence wasn't overly horrifying and the angst not too drawn out! Haha! Anyway, it's been over a decade since this was written and you likely won't see this - but on the off chance, I wanted to write something to express how wonderful this story was. Thank you!
