It began with a letter, and a secret. Was it madness to trust? Was it a secret salvation? Or was it all just lying on a ring, in the end...? (***HBP SPOILERS***)

I have to apologize to everyone, period. Real life swallowed me whole, as I have been struggling to make a living writing original fiction over the last 8 years. It has not been easy, & has been complicated by health issues. I hope people can forgive my long silences. Trying to make enough money to live on from writing is a lot harder--waaaay harder--than it looks. (At least I didn't leave any posted fanfics unfinished.)
Anyhoo...
These stories are works of parody (& thus are allowable under US law), and are not written for profit. Just for fun. I'm not making any money off of any fanfics, nor will I ever. I'm just playing around in other writers' universes.
...I am, however, making something of a living off my own stories. (If anyone wants to play around in my universes, you may visit my website, www.jeanjohnson.net, and look up my policy on Fanfics & Fanarts. It's reasonable enough and fairly easy to follow, too...)

It's bitterly cold outside, in fact its snowed heavily. I'm laid up in bed with bronchitis. For an afternoon your story took me away from all that. Thank you.

It just keeps getting better. I hope to see more, and soon.
All I can say is that this story is extremely exciting, and I have stayed up past 3am to read it! I absolutely can't wait to see the next chapter!!!! Please keep them coming!

Thank you, Kagome! Updates will be a little while, however, as I'm now concentrating on original fiction, in the hopes of getting published...~Lotm

Wonderful wonderful story- i wish we could have seen more of sev as a father though!
i have to say this is a great story! i loved it!
Serendipity - or more correctly Random story search lead me to this Fan-bloody-tastic alternate book 7. This is the second morning that I have stayed up obscenely late/early in the morning to read your story. I apologise for not reviewing on the way, but I was so enamoured by the story I simply HAD to get to the next chapter ASAP. Snape in a kilt is one of the images that will cause me to need a towel to dry off the keyboard...I am planning to re-read this again. By the way brilliant guess at the horcruxes especially the dark mark brand - truly inspirationalCheers

Thank you...the Dark Mark brand just makes sense, given what we know of how Apparition works in book 6. In Annulo was my version of therapy for my post-book-6 trauma.Try to get some sleep, m'dear...and when you do get around to re-reading it (my favorite thing to hear, 'cause those are the kinds of stories I want to write)...lol, let me know if you remembered to stop and comment along the way, or just raced through it to the end again. *wink*~Lotm

The best hg/ss fan fic i have EVER read.
Your characters are fantastic. I fell head over heels in love with your Snape. he was beliveable for a man who has gone through 20+years spying and horror.
I also loved Ron. In so many fics he gets short changed and is a total prat. I never pictured him that way. Lets face it his.main 'fault' is he is totally unsuitable for Hermione and thats hardly his fault! Thank you for writing this Story. This is everything I wanted book 7 to be. This is the Harry Potter that eluded JK.
Ugh, this has been almost everything I wanted and more from a Potions Under Duress story! I can't wait to read everything else you've written in this section!
This story is bloody brilliant! Excellent pacing and character portrayal/development - staying very true to Ron in particular, but also the character I think (I HOPE!) Russel is going to turn out to be... The sexy bits are wonderfully paced and spaced, and there's humour in it too, as well as lots of good ideas - you're so right about them placing the Fidelius Charm on Hogwarts!! I love your creation of the Veloci-bracelet (sorry, I've forgotten the exact name you gave it!) - a plausible way to introduce such a rare and highly magical object, plus the betrothal ring. Absolutely loving this story, and looking forward to reading more by you, after I've inhaled this one!
Wonderful story. So much detail and development of plot and characters.Thank you for sharing this.
She could start by asking Poppy for some more vials of this potion. I mean, it's Severus favoured remedy after al and I bet his headache haven't left him. I like it how you have Albus pointing out that Severus position/attitude/loyalty is not a firm thing, but that there can be development and that creates the the possibility to take influence. Thank you!
That was the best, most addicting thing ever! Thank you for your hard work and amazing talent! Keep writing! :)
Still one of my favorites! Cuddly Crooks and the fear of piddling always makes me think of me and my now husband snuggling on the couch with my Dad safe at work when we were in high school. My long since deceased cat, Waldo, kept jumping up in Dave's lap and getting between us. We put him on the floor and he would jump back up. Apparently Waldo was feeling very possessive because without warning he piddled on Dave's lap! " Piss off, she's MINE!" The pants went the wash and the cat was severely scolded. Missy/LovesRickman
Thank you for a wonderful epic of a story.
“Why do you do unto others, if you don’t like it being done unto you? ”DAMN! What a chapter. I'm enjoying reading Hermione getting her rage on. She needed to get medieval on his ass! Then he goes off crying like a bitch LOL!Very good writing, I enjoyed this chapter the most so far.Bravo!Livvy

Well, it was a very emotionally overwrought moment. Naturally things were going to go utterly wrong...and contrary to popular belief, a) men do have feelings, b) men do feel their emotions, and c) Snape especially feels them. He's normally very good at hiding them, but even the strongest sword can be shattered. It was in some ways very hard to write--like watching a train collision right in front of your eyes, and still having to report it live......So I'm glad you liked this chapter!~Lotm
This was an amazing story. Thank you for sharing it.

Ooh, sparkly things! *leaps up in her Animagus kitty form and starts batting at them with her paws...purrrrrrrrrr*You're quite welcome! Thank you for reading it!~Lotm
Oh. My. Goodness! I can not put into words how much I adore this fic!!! And just think: this is a couple of years old, so your writing must have gotten even better! I love the chacterizations, and the dialogue. And the twist with Albus completely surprised me. Love how you handled the horcruxes, Hermione's spell creating, the final battle, and the trial. Also really liked Flitwick's larger than average role. This was an utterly fantastic fic! I really hope you keep writing (fanfiction or not), you're very talented.

Ohhh, I'm still writing. I'm published, now. IA got me noticed by a professional editor, and now I have 6 books out, with 2 more on the way, and possible future contracts for yet more. And I'm still writing ss/hg, too...though not nearly as prolifically as I used to. *sigh*I'm very glad you're enjoying my work. The process of creating them helped my mature my writing abilities tremendously. Here's hoping the rest of my stuff keeps you equally entertained.*hugs*~Lotm

*jealous jealous jealous*
I've been hopping up quite a lot to share my favorite bits of this fic with my roommate...to answer the incessant 'What's so funny?' (and similar) questions coming from the other room... She said I should share the comment I made about this chapter:It's (the chapter) like ACTION, ACTION, ACTION, breathe, ACTION, ACTION AC-[get up, run, go potty]-TION, ACTION, breathe, ACTION.Am enjoying this fic very much!
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
Breathing is very important. Particularly if you do it continuously. (Potty is important, too, but not so good if you do it continuously, lol.) I'm glad you're enjoying this one, so far!*hugs*~Lotm

I love this story!
I read it first a few years ago, then stepped away from fanfic for a while. I got back into it several months ago. As I was reading all the new stuff and rereading old stuff I hadn't read in years I came across your story again. I loved it just as much as I did a few years ago. So much in fact that I spent a week (last week) trying to find your story again because I couldn't remember the title or author and I had forgotten to make it a favorite. I have now marked this as a favorite and reread it - again.
I reallyl can't say enough about how well written and detailed this story is; the emotions, thoughts, and experiences the characters go through are wonderful. I tear up at the end every time. I cheer Hermione on and groan when someone does something stupid (especially chanting "tell Dumbledore" after Voldibutt's death).
Thank you for such a wonderful story, I look forward to rereading it again.
