It began with a letter, and a secret. Was it madness to trust? Was it a secret salvation? Or was it all just lying on a ring, in the end...? (***HBP SPOILERS***)

I have to apologize to everyone, period. Real life swallowed me whole, as I have been struggling to make a living writing original fiction over the last 8 years. It has not been easy, & has been complicated by health issues. I hope people can forgive my long silences. Trying to make enough money to live on from writing is a lot harder--waaaay harder--than it looks. (At least I didn't leave any posted fanfics unfinished.)
Anyhoo...
These stories are works of parody (& thus are allowable under US law), and are not written for profit. Just for fun. I'm not making any money off of any fanfics, nor will I ever. I'm just playing around in other writers' universes.
...I am, however, making something of a living off my own stories. (If anyone wants to play around in my universes, you may visit my website, www.jeanjohnson.net, and look up my policy on Fanfics & Fanarts. It's reasonable enough and fairly easy to follow, too...)

...muhahahahahaaa...(By now, Pyro has assuredly discovered that we don't get to know what the truth was, regarding Severus' declaration of love...and we won't know for a long, long time...buahahahahahaaaa!!)Yes, please, keep reading! I'm sure you'll find out what the real message is, verrrrry soon...any chapter, now...any chapter...~Lotm--BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!(P.S. My doctor has advised laughing eeeeviiiilly at least three times a day as a way to de-stress and lower my blood pressure. Of course, if I laugh any more, I'm sure I'll slip into a coma, but man...that felt good! *mwah*)

They're the two longest, yeah. Though if you want an ongoing plotline, you could always mosey over to www.jeanjohnson.net and check out my original fics! (mind you, only the first two books are currently available, though book 3 comes out in September 2007, and book 4 in February of 2008...)~Lotmworking on books 5 & 6, and already plotting out 7 & 8...
Here we are – the whirlwind may begin!
As I supposed, Hermione was too curious and brought Severus rather incautiously out of his hiding. Now she (and also he) has to deal with it and the ambiguity of her emotions.
Hermione has to know the truth of Severus feelings through Sigurd, and it shocked her to her core – it must be deeply confusing for her.
Now I´m more thancurious how you will handle them, how you will let act them, how they will get over the rift – if they get truly over this rift. Your story is enormous fascinating to read!!!
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
Well, you've gotten to the halfway point of the story, so there's plenty of opportunity to explore all of those questions ahead of you! Thank you for letting me know that you're enjoying it so much; it lets me know I've reached my goal of entertaining others. Enjoy the rest of it, ~Lotm
Excellent - I was totally suprised at the new life everyone had taken - what an interesting way for all of them to have gone. Severus as headmaster - trully excellent. You did a wonderful job with the story and it was a pleasure to read.

It was my therapy after book 6 came out...and I'm still not sure if I ever want to read the real book 7. I like this one's happy ending so much more...~Lotm
Oh this chapter really got me - how Albus died - that was so good but so sad - Great work.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
By the way, I wanted to thank you for responding to pretty much every chapter; that really helps us writers to know where we did particularly good work, or need to do better. *hugs*~Lotm
Great chapter - all the events and answers for what happened were fantastic. I loved that they acquitted him - good show - good work.
Extremely interesting - the trial is a web of tale upon tale about what was done to win the war and it was very immaginative - good writing.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
Most of this story was aimed at this trial scene, actually. I knew that was where the story was headed from practically the very beginning, and I struggled very hard to pull it off. So it's very gratifying to know you're enjoying it so much. Thank you!~Lotm
What an imagination you have - Dumbledore coming back from the portrait. Wow now that is a shocker - great chapter.
Oh man - he was going to leave until Hermione told him she would made an Unbreakable Vow - It was scary - I thought he was going to go anyway. Good chapter.
Oh man- I thought Severus was a goner - what happened to Nagini? This was a good fight scene - very creative.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
Ron hacked the snake apart, back right before the final confrontation, while they were still approaching the caretaker's house, etc. All they had to do was kill the snake to destroy the Horcrux.~Lotm
Well they are on their way to destroy the cup leaving the branding iron, Nagini and then the dark lord. I loved how throughout the story you called him by many many names - it was always funny to see what you would come up with.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
Coming up with names for him was loads of fun, but I have to give credit where credit is due. The mocking of Voldemort first appeared (as far as I personally am aware) in a lovely tale called "The Naked Quidditch Match"; by all means, go Google and read it. PG-13, and side-splittingly funny!~Lotm
Oh my - Severus one and Severus two and a time turner - it is a wonder that Hermione did not pass out from having two of her husbands - I have never saw this written in any fan fiction before -great original idea and hot as all get out.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
...Let's just say it was a little wishful fantasy fulfilment on my own part...*mops up the drool*...Glad you enjoyed it!~Lotm
The whole birthday for Severus was extremely kinky - but then again he is a deatheater with and appetite. Now Severus has come back from trying to steal the time-turner - I wonder what happened - good chapter.
I thought Mineriva would have turned him in - glad Albus was there to difuse the situation. I am now curious why he was called away for 10 days - hope this does not make the potion fail.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
The hard part about writing In Annulo was that I truly wanted to write the entire thing from Hermione's perspective, and only her perspective--a true third-person limited point-of-view. The biggest problem with that, however, is that several chunks of the story take place elsewhere, without her.So I had to figure out ways for her to encounter this elsewhere-information in realistic ways, and without surprising the reader too much by not giving little hints earlier on in the story. Which means things like this ten-day absence had to be worked into the story somehow. It is a bit of a mystery at this point, isn't it? Does it affect the Anima Te they're brewing? Did he have to do something too horrible to contemplate? Is he even going to come back alive and in one piece, or in a condition similar to Russel's mutilation earlier on in the story?...Only reading more of the story will tell you the true tale...muahahahahahah!~Lotm
I do not know about him taking her bracelet - morning sickness verses saving her from death or injury - I think I would choose sickness to save my life... Good chapter - I cannot believe Severus took Hermione on the floor of the Headmaster's office - Kinky.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
Well, he takes it...and then (mini-sized spoiler alert)...never needs to use it. Which was a deliberate choice on my part, actually, along the lines of "what you prepare for almost never happens"...mwheheheh...~Lotm
I cannot believe Severus took her in the Weasley's livingroom... he was sensual to about it - such a Slytherin. I loved how they saved Percy's life with the salve - good writing. They are pregnant - wow what a way to find out.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
...I'd have traded places with Hermione in an instant, during that particular scene at the start of the chapter...~Lotm
Great chapter - Christmas at the Burrow sounded like it would be great fun for them and then I cannot believe the Weasleys did not want them to stay together because they are not married.. when they are married by more ancient means... that was just rude.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
Of course it's rude! I wanted to show how thrusting one's personal belief system upon someone else who follows a different system is very grating on the nerves. They "meant well", but the Weasleys are rather set in their ways about certain things...~Lotm
Good chapter - I had forgot that the dragon would appear to help her - good thinking to bring him out to show he is always searching for any danger that might befall her.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
...I want a Sigurd of my own...~Lotm
Great chapter - well they are slowly on the amends - Dumbledore was right Severus wants love and acceptance just like everyone else - good chapter.
Well I cannot believe she hexed him but true to Severus he walled up so to speak and ordered her to go. The end of this chapter was good - you can sense that Severus does not trust her and is hiding behind his walls but she is slowly going to break them down.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
Hermione had her trial of fire to endure, the crumbling of her dreams and illusions in the previous chapters. At this point, this is Severus' trial of fire to endure as well, though the whole of the story is only ever seen from Hermione's perspective.~Lotm
Poor Hermione- she cannot complete the potion and she has to have Severus's help. I cannot believe the last where he says that he wants her to have his child.... I can believe she fainted - dear lord she is still young - what a request...
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
Yeah, I liked the ending of this chapter. It was just so very perfect for the scenario. Hermione has an agenda, Severus has one of his own, and boom--they collide!Mueheheh...it's fun to torture characters like this!~Lotm
Good chapter - Malfoy was shocked that she tended to him and Severus is on the defense - the girl has her work cut out for her and she still has to get the book and destroy the cup and the book is a nasty piece of work too.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
Yup. This was a good chapter for showing that, no matter how nasty your life might get, or how many obstacles get tossed in your path, you still have to plod forward anyway, and just try to recover your footing as you go, each step along the way.~Lotm
Poor Hermione - what Severus did by forcing her and then her anguish over the whole situation and then Albus telling her that she would have to be happy... I feel so sorry for her.
