It began with a letter, and a secret. Was it madness to trust? Was it a secret salvation? Or was it all just lying on a ring, in the end...? (***HBP SPOILERS***)

I have to apologize to everyone, period. Real life swallowed me whole, as I have been struggling to make a living writing original fiction over the last 8 years. It has not been easy, & has been complicated by health issues. I hope people can forgive my long silences. Trying to make enough money to live on from writing is a lot harder--waaaay harder--than it looks. (At least I didn't leave any posted fanfics unfinished.)
Anyhoo...
These stories are works of parody (& thus are allowable under US law), and are not written for profit. Just for fun. I'm not making any money off of any fanfics, nor will I ever. I'm just playing around in other writers' universes.
...I am, however, making something of a living off my own stories. (If anyone wants to play around in my universes, you may visit my website, www.jeanjohnson.net, and look up my policy on Fanfics & Fanarts. It's reasonable enough and fairly easy to follow, too...)

How he handled her was so cold and how he said he would break her - I do not know what Hermione is going to do but with the dragon I am curious what he showed her - on to the next chapter- good work.
Oh crap - confronting Severus at his home and then not knowing it was her husband and then she goes to take his amulet off and then the bracelet turns the other direction - the shit is about to hit the fan...

The Mirror revealing all the Horcruxs and the details of how to destroy them was very creative thinking. I loved the ending the best how she blurted out that she loved him - cannot wait to see the next chapter to see what he says...
It was great how she cooked for him and it was cute when he pulled the sick card and wanted his warm toast. How imaginative to use the mirror to find a way to destroy the cup - the ROR is a nice touch as well.

Well, after reading the first HP book, I realized that someone with a really strong willpower would see whatever they wanted to see...because the most contented person in the world would not want to see anything other than who and what they were, right there and then. After figuring out that, it wasn't that far of a leap to figure that Hermione, of the three of them, would have the willpower to see what she wanted to see--to see what she demanded to see, in fact.Yes, this means I think Herimone is very bossy. But she is kind-hearted and polite, which temper the bossiness, and makes her a rich, diverse, tolerable character.~Lotm
Great chapter - how he sent her the message and the trio went and saved the Grangers. I loved the whole Miss Figg and Hermione getting the Hufflepuff cup back. Good thinking and planning. The state that she found him in - dear me Voldemort was absolutely in a rage - well at least she is going to him with the needed supplies to help him.
I loved the whole scene where all four of them were at the ice cream parlor...He knows her favorite but I do not think her friends know. The whole getting a stolen moment together at the motel was good and how he iniated the sex well - that was just erotic.

It's the little things in a relationship that really help it to survive the bigger upsets--the glue that bonds the bigger bits together. Admittedly knowing a sweetheart's favorite dessert isn't as important as, say, having a similar taste in hobbies and interests, but it shows that someone cares enough to pay attention.Or in Russel's case, is paying attention closely because he's trying to perfect his role.~Lotm
The rest of the honeymoon was just as sexy as the beginning - great chapter - loved how the dragon curled around her neck and how everyone seems to take her marriage.
The marriage consummation was so intense and hot - my dear your certainly know how to write passion and erotic - then the table and him and her having sex and he sucked her toes - fan I need a fan - is it hot in here????

I loved how he kidnapped her - dont mind me - Haa Haa. Then the whole thing of games and getting to know him -a great idea and a good imagination. Must read on this is very good.
The whole battle scene was scary and great. I loved how she activated the time slower and destroyed the locket and stopped Ron from being killed. Then the whole portkey to Voldemort was terrifying to say the least and how she used that one minute of time to snap the ring on her finger - I was sitting on the edge of my chair.... The dragon appearing - NOW THAT IS ONE HELL OF A GUARDIAN. Good imagination.

--Isn't he? Adorable, loyal, fierce, talented, protective...and he even comes (in this story, at least) with Severus Snape as part of the package!~Lotm*snerk*
Well she got a little physical - not the full deal but pretty hot none the same - The scene you wrote between them was very good - I was wondering when he would take the plunge and kiss her.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
When would he kiss her! When the moment was right, of course! Heheh...actually, I had that old song "I'll Kiss You When It's Dangerous" running through my mind when I wrote that scene...~Lotm
Interesting the way the Canadian put her hand on his thigh - must be Severus. The whole outting is interesting - I cannot wait to see what happens in the chess match.
oh now this chapter is even more interesting - Ravenclaw's wand - the fact that they can see it unless they go to the show - being inducted into the order and then telling everyone that they can tell them nothing about their quest - good show.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
I liked the concept of the wand collector's exhibition. Even in the wizarding world, people have their hobbies, and I figured Filius would have just such a hobby...and would be meticulous about gathering the absolute best collection he possibly could.~Lotm
The bath scene and the tablet was so erotic - I was reading it think oh my.... I cannot believe they are doing this - off the charts sensual - great smut.

The paper airplane was a fantastic idea to use in the story. I loved the chapter especially when the trio were in the Headmaster's office and they would Albus - good show - has me reading it non stop because it is so well written.

Thank you! I couldn't help but think of the inter-office memos as being the perfect delivery system. Who would notice one more memo swooping around the Ministry? Who would ignore it, for that matter, since it looks like Official Notification, delivered in such a manner?~Lotm
What an action packed chapter from the Colins home being full of deatheaters to Severus contacting Hermione with the ring. Your story is rich in details and action and I simply love it.
Excellent first chapter - quick thinking on Hermione's part and interesting story line - I cannot wait to see how it plays out and how she will react when she finds out it is Severus.
I think this is one of the best Severus/Hermione fan fiction written. I loved how you showed the dicotomy of Snapes spy persona. I thought that the differnces shown were thoughtful and Prof. Snape's snark and snarl was spot on. I also appreciated, though I can say it was painful to read, that Hermione had a 'subscription' full of issues after she discovered whom she had married.
I have enjoyed a good many of your fictions; thank you for sharing them. They are well written and interestingly planned out.

Now I’ve reached more than a third, and I finally wanted to tell you how immensely enjoyable this story is, very fascinating and intriguing. I’m reading one or two of the wonderfully long chaps every day, and it gives me always something to look forward to.
Snape as Russel is great to read. It’s highly understandable that he wants to live someone other’s life, to live out other aspects of his personality. This would be awkward as Snape, but as Russel it’s just fine.
But how long will Hermione give her Cupid to stay in the hide? She’s just too curious for her own good. Anyway, it has to come out some times, and I’m sure she will go crazy about it and I’m also sure that you’ll make it an impressive roller coaster to read.
Btw, I do like your Hermione/Jane very much; she’s very courageous in the handling of the different situations and not only the planning brain of the trio behind the scene.
The battle at the wand exhibition was terrific, very stirring! And the appearance of Sigurd was simply genial, with his “She issss the princesss” at every proper or not so proper moment. At the Granger’s he was sooo cute! But why did he react to Violetta - perhaps she’s a thread, that means, she’s the spy in the Order for Voldimoldy !?
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
...Are you sure that Snape is Russel? You could be mistaken, you know; there's still a lot more story to go...As for Sigurd's reaction to Violetta, I thought that was fairly clear. But if not, well... Sigurd's job at that point in the story was to protect Hermione from anyone--other than Russel--who had even the slightest sexual interest in her. That's what the comment about Violetta coming out like that was about. Sigurd revealed the Auror's sexual preferences to everyone with that display of protectiveness!~Lotm

Yes, it was fairly clear, so very much, that I was looking for another, hidden reason for it.
I think this is truly the best SS/HG fic I've read yet. You managed the gargantuan task of maintaining both a fascinating plot, a heart wrenching SS/HG relationship, and some marvelous writing in general. Not to mention the sizzling sex scenes! Thanks so much for an awesome read.

Aww what a lovely way for Albus to go, feel the love!
oh goodie he got off, wonder what they are going to do now??
WOW, the press are having a field day , and Harry still can't get the comparison between his actions and Snapes.
You are one evil, warped, devious, imaginative, brilliant woman. Will you have my children .. no seriously I have an 18 yr old son who really needs to leave home instead of sitting in front of his laptop all day.. (don't know where he gets that habit from)..take him , go on!
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Annulo)
Nope, sorry. I'm looking for a fellow with a bit more in the way of life ambitions. Unless your son is willing to be my housekeeper. (I'm terrible about dusting, and loathe doing dishes/laundry.)
