Born: in the glorious year of 1979, when Dio joined Black Sabbath and Peter Pettigrew started passing on information to the Dark Lord
Colours: black, green, silver
Passions: writing, cooking, baking, witchcraft
Obsessions: quite a few, chocolate for one (hi Lupin!), but mainly a certain Potions master and a blond DE.
When I am not writing alone, I co-write with my favourite Ravenclaw star_girl. Look for sevs_starsisters to find our stories.
Published writer since 2014. Original fiction is good fun, but I find myself returning to fan fiction every now and then

Smart little girl.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
As my beta called it: "Repello Dumbledorius!"A pretty useful spell. The little one is in for a good start :)Thanks for reading and leaving a note. It is very much appreciated. /M
This whole chapter is so heart-wrenching... especially what the Grey Lady said... :'( I'm glad that Severus had calmed down before he confronted Morgaine, but somehow the scene is even sadder. Perhaps the lack of fiery anger takes the focus to the arguably more fundamental emotion of bitter regret and sorrow. A fabulous chapter, as always.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
One of Morgaine's biggest regrets is having wasted too much time. Now, fear is keeping her from taking the chance to win back all that time. Severus will need to help her.Thank you very much for reading and reviewing. /M
Response from angelmaple (Reviewer)
I see they both have a very difficult time ahead of them, which is nothing new, really... Fingers crossed for Severus and Morgaine to win back lost time! Looking forward to the next chapter.
For a minute there I thought she'd slashed her wrists when she broke the vials. I'm glad she didn't. And I'm glad Severus found her and had cooled off before talking with her.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
I wouldn't be that mean, now would I? Um ... Seriously though, Morgaine is desperate but her top priority is the well-being of her daughter and the man she has love since her teenage years. She would not hurt them by hurting herself. But still, there is a lot that is unsaid and needs to be worked through.Thank you very much for reading and reviewing. /M
Again, what a sad situation. All of those involved deserved better. On a side note: What the Hell was Minerva thinking?! Someone should have a few choice words for her.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Good Minerva only meant well. In her defence: in wasn't solely her idea *hints towards a certain portrait*All involved do deserve better. And it will get better. Eventually ...Thanks for reading and leaving a note! /M
Thanks, Morgaine, for another fabulous story. This was lovely and it was nice to see them finally united after so much time.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Thank YOU, deb, for being such a faithful reader and reviewer. Means a lot, especially since Morgaine was my first OC. I'll miss her and her Severus a lot. About to engage in another adventure with the Star Sisters, but I have another SS/OCpercolating. In fact, I am very much itching to start writing. Hope to see you around. Thanks for all your support. /M
Oh, I hope Demeter isn't scarred for life after hearing the news. She's a tough gal... so I think she'll be alright. :) I teared up when Morgaine went back to her body. Severus was right though... Demeter needs her now more than ever. Besides, Severus will be waiting for her.I so desperately wish that they could all be together... they deserve to be happy. I'm looking forward to the next chapter... type fast! :)
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
I did type fast, and the chapter is now at my beta. Hope she'll read fast :) Thanks for reading. Hope the next chapter won't disappoint.
Quite a dilemma for Morgaine there. Being there for her daughter must be the best solution, Demeter needs her now facing the news of who her granfather is. Her mothers death would have been to awfull. Morgaine still have Severus waiting for her and supporting her, but I understand the longing for being together again - if she had let her self die she would have been very unhappy too I am sure. That was quite clumsy, hope you understand the meaning
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Yes, I do know what you mean. And yes, it is a huge dilemma. Morgaine is longing to be with Severus, and at the same time, she wants to protect and guide their daughter. And she cannot do both. So she will have to wait, no matter how much it might hurt. Typing frantically on the next chapter as we speak. Shouldn't be long, I hope.
Well, it's best that they are truthful with Demeter. She needs to know this stuff. Maybe not the events ofLucius' death and all, but she needs to know. Do you think that Severus could destroy Albus' painting? He really needs something. The man is a fiend. The part where she went back to her body was particularly touching. I hope she can remember that and not think that Severus will notwant to have anything to do with her. Silly woman.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
This is fan fic. If I decide that Avada Kedavra works on paintings, then it will :D Morgaine still has many issues to work through. She might have suspected for a long time who her father was, but having proof makes the whole thing real. Severus will have to help her. If she let's him, that is. Thank you for reading and the shiny stars :) Two more chapters to go, I think.
I wasn't expecting her to go to Dumbledore. I did appreciate her strong words to him. I know she's seen him for what he is for a very long time, but he's a bit domineering, and she handled him well.
It's so sad to see Severus only able to do so much with her. The hand holding was very sweet. Hopefully, they can find a way to counteract the things parents have told their children.
It seems like a difficult, if not impossible challenge. And poor Demeter will be right in the middle of it.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Dumbledore has used Severus and Morgaine for so many years. Now he will have a chance to repay them by looking out for Demeter. But of course, one never knows what his intentions are.Severus and Morgaine's relationship has never been the most physical one. To be able to touch each other's minds has meant a lot to them. But yes, physical affection is very assuring and comforting, and not being able to touch each other properly is a difficult thing to live with. Almost as difficult as the challenge to fight the dark forces that are still around. Keep your fingers crossed.I'm so glad you're enjoying this. It means a lot to me! /M
I thought the end of the chapter was quite romantic.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
"plain cute" were the words my beta used. I see my reputation flying out the window ;-)Seriously now, I very much like Severus and Morgaine to have some sweet moments in this story. There was enough heartache in the last one.Glad you're enjoying this. Thank you, as always, for reading and leaving a note. /M
Some interesting thoughts shared here, perhaps her new found knowledge will be put to good use.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Who would have thought that something a Malfoy said would come to good use? But yes, Morgaine has a lot to think about now. Hopefully, she will gather the courage to talk to Severus soon. Thanks for sticking with me and the story. /M
Well, that was a disturbing conversation. Just what does Lucius want? It seems he is fostering the lies about Severus. She needs to talk to Severus about Demeter even more now!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Yes, what does dear Lucius want? What he always wanted: a world in which his beliefs are the right ones and where he is one of the leaders. Twelve years ago, Morgaine didn't play along when he wanted to use her to rise in ranks. Will he try again now? With Morgaine? Or Demeter? One never knows with that snake ...Thanks for sticking with me, deb. It's much appreciated!! /M
Well, that was certainly out of the blue. I hope he chokes on it all!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Poor guy has been chewing on all this for almost tolv years. He's bound to choke sooner or later ;-)Thank you very much for taking the time to read and for leaving a note. /M
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
"tolv"? Good morning!! Should wake up before answering reviews. "twelve" of course.
I hate Lucius, but I guess that was the idea.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Um .... YES! What more can I say? ;-)Thanks for the shinies. They made me very happy!
Holy moly... wow that was intense. Seriously did not see that one coming at all.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
You didn't? Wow, I must be doing something right then ;-) More crazy stuff ahead, so buckle up.
Gol, that was an intense chapter! I can't believe Lucius is so crazy. Hopefully something will happen to stop stop stop him! at least hogwarts knows what's up.... sort of.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
There is only one person who's crazier that Lucius, and that would be ME! haha
Wonderful story. I have happily been devouring this epic saga for days and it has been such an amazing journey. I was very sad to reach the end. I loved your OCs. They were vibrant and complex. You really felt connected to them. Thank you for sharing this story!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Thank you very much for reading and leaving such lovely reviews. As I have told you before, Severus and Morgaine are my OTP, and Morgaien is the OC I've come to love the most. I'm always very honoured when a reader feels connected to her.
I just tell myself, again and again, it will be allright in the end. The way you portrait your persons make them very " a live" to me. A good thing the auror could remember Lucius the evil man. Maybe Alek Riverbed will be able to help. So many maybe's, looking forward to updates
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Everything will be alright in the end, in some way. Planning to we writing for two weeks now. /M
Dumbledore will have some explaining to do (again). Wonder who'll hex the painting first. My money's on Minerva, but that may be why he was so understanding earlier. He knew he'd need to play on her guilt later. Very nice.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Oh yes, Dumbledore the puppet master... I am considering testing of Avada Kedavra can kill portraits as well :P
Once again, I'm very anxious for Morgain and Severus. *fingers crossed*
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
I solemnly swear that I will be nice to them. Eventually :)
Oh my God. OH. MY. GOD. I'm obviously incoherent. Onto the next chapter.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Hehe, I take that as a compliment :)
Oh Merlin. At least they're on the case. But what will happen between now and then?Poor Severus! I felt so bad for him./
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
If I only knew what will happen :P It's been a while since these characters played by the rules and followed my original plot. They do what they want, especially Lucius. Keep your fingers crossed for Severus - and the others, of course. Thank you, as always, for reading and taking the time to leave a note. /M
Poor Severus, even dead, he's suffering. That was really good.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Yes, poor Severus, I am not making things easy for him. I should see a professional about that. Thanks for reading, dearest, and for leaving a note. /M
I hope she decides to tell him soon. He really should know, despite the probability that he will be angry. I found it interesting that in death, he can finally come to all these conclusions that he definitely shied away from in life. Hindsight... oh well!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Just imagine if those two had had those conversation while Severus was still alive. What a change it could have made. Hindsight, indeed.Glad you're enjoying this and taking the time to comment. It means a lot! /M
poor Severus, againg blaming himself big time. And poor Morgaine and Demeter. Where are Alek Riverbed, alive? Oh, my you have to update soon, You can drive a person to drinking (and smoking) LOL
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Severus is ace at blaming himself! SKÅL! :)
