Born: in the glorious year of 1979, when Dio joined Black Sabbath and Peter Pettigrew started passing on information to the Dark Lord
Colours: black, green, silver
Passions: writing, cooking, baking, witchcraft
Obsessions: quite a few, chocolate for one (hi Lupin!), but mainly a certain Potions master and a blond DE.
When I am not writing alone, I co-write with my favourite Ravenclaw star_girl. Look for sevs_starsisters to find our stories.
Published writer since 2014. Original fiction is good fun, but I find myself returning to fan fiction every now and then

And thank you for letting me know! /M
Ok, I am back in teacher mode. Top of page: Beliefs not believes.( talking about Blaise)Further down: ( just after the break)Severus spelled as Sever.Other than those two things, a very good chapter.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Do stay in the teacher mode! Such mistakes are terrible!!
Naww, Melvin is fast becoming my favourite Slytherin. And I loved the line about Snape not even being able to stopper his own death. Morgaine needs to open up, though. Can ghosts faint? I think Severus might when he finds out the news!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
There are cute Slytherins as well :-)The secret of Demeter will be revealed eventually. Maybe not in the way anyone planned ....
Charming. One suggstion. You left the first a out of Mandrakes.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Thanks!!
At the risk of repeating myself, this is exquisite.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Severus and Morgaine bring out the best in me :-)
Communication can make or break a relationship. Too bad for Severus that he didn't learn it early enough to have really benefit from it. I suppose ghosts can have relationships, but it's not the same as being alive and in a relationship. I hope I made sense.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Severus isn't the only one to blame. Morgaine did not really speak up either when Severus was still alive. For noble Gryffindorian reasons, maybe, but still she kept quiet.Your reasoning makes perfect sense. To me it does, anyone. And this will be one of the key points of the story once Morgaine and Severus have found back to each other. Can they still love each other? Should they? Will it work? And how healthy is it to be involved with a ghost anyway?Answers will come .../M
Nawww, those guys! At least they are on the path to forgiveness now. There is still so much for them to work through. I love your description of ghostly things.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
They're awful those two, aren't they? And still so adorable.Glad you like my ghostly writing, it's quite fun./M
OH, he finally gets it. It took death and him becoming a ghost, but he FINALLY gets it! I'm glad she confessed all that to him. It seemed to do both of them good.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Let us say that Morgaine's confession is the first step on a very bumpy road for those two. But they've had a good start. Thanks for the shinies! So glad you love the story!/M
Funny he had to learn to be a ghosst.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Must be difficult. Just imagine how the other ghost would have laughed at him when he opened doors before walking through them ... :P
At least she's talking, finally. I find it ironic that their each protecting the other so they can move on.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
They still have a lot to go through together, those two. But yes, it will be much easier if they TALK. Stubborn Slytherins! :PGlad you're enjoying this little story. /M
Very sad, Severus had his work cut out for him doesn't he?
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Yes, Severus has a lot to do in this story, as does Morgaine. Once more, those two will have to help each other.Glad you're still reading and reviewing. It means a lot. /M
Another sad story I see, well at least this chapter. It is nice to hear that Severus has a child in the world though.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Well, it won't be a happy story, but there will be some kind of a happy ending (now that's one big statement coming from me).Morgaine needs closure, so does Severus in some way. Heck, I need closure. Morgaine has been with me for almost 10 years. Saying goodbye is harder than I thought.Hope you will like this story./M
Okay, I've got a whole box of tissues with this story's name it. Severus, a ghost. Not quite sure that's fair! But Morgaine needs to heal. Like her, not quite sure how that happens.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Tissues is good. I am needing quite a few myself while writing this story. Morgaine has been with me for almost 10 years. I want to give her some kind of closure, but it's harder than I thought.Hope you will like this story./M
Response from debjunk (Reviewer)
I'm sure I'll love it. I always do... despite the garbage can full of tissues they've all invoked. ;)
Poor Morgaine. Knowing Severus is still at Hogwarts must be both a relief and a torture. I can't wait for more.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
It will be hard for both of them. That Severus is still at Hogwarts will give them a chance to take farewell. But it also means that the will have to come face to face and talk. And that might just prove to be harder than either of them thinks.Ehm, you know that I am never nice to my characters
Enjoyable chapter, that little girl is such a charmer.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
She's got that from her Daddy, I think. Although the Wizarding world might disagree :)
Loved seeing Demeter's excitement over everything in Diagon Alley.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Wouldn't you be excited, too?Demeter is fun to write, I have to say, despite her being a kid :P
The Sorting feast should be interesting.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Indeed! Should write that soon, shouldn't I?Like to place a bet?
A good chapter as allways. I am a bit nervous about Lucius and his plans, I am sure we will meet him again, just checked again that you have no warnings for character death ( happy about that). I am also looking forward for explanations on Severus state, he seems to be different than other ghost, I know it is far fetched that he is going to live agan, but one can allways hope. Glædelig jul til dig Morgaine, kærlig hilsen Leni
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
No warnings for character death, eh? Should change that ... haha ... sorry, kidding. Or am I? :PLucius is scheduled to return shortly. He's such fun to write.God jul på dig också! /M
Response from gurlimargrethe (Reviewer)
Now you have me worried again. You are vicked woman, love Leni
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Wicked? Moi? Oh, yeah, that's right ...Don't worry, I haven't decided yet if someone's going to die. Like in real life, one never knows.
That was really sweet, esp. the Author's Note :) However I can still feel the tension building up for Demeter's arrival at Hogwarts. Can't wait to see which House she would be Sorted into. Also felt that Alek is being overtly agreeable... is it just me or does he really - to use an almost disgustingly colloquial term - 'have the hots' for Morgaine? :PGreat chapter!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Are you suggesting that Alek is being flirty? :PSoon, soon, Demeter will arrive at Hogwarts. Everyone involved is really excited about it.Thanks, as always, for reading and leaving a note. /M
Response from angelmaple (Reviewer)
Yes, flirty is the right word... And you're welcome!
So sad. I don't exactly know what Morgaine needs, but I hope she finds it. They're both right, however lovely their relationship is, it's not very healthy. That makes me sad too. Ah, morgaine, another angsty, lovely chapter.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Morgaine needs to find a way to either get over Severus or accept the way their relationship is now. She cannot keep living "in the world of the dead". She knows it, Severus knows it, but neither knows what to do ... yet. Thanks for reading and leaving a note. Means a lot!
Wow. As always, that was a lovely chapter. I'm curious as to how their situation will resolve itself.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
I have two set of plans: a nice one and a not so nice one. Haven't really decided which road to take yet. Thanks for reading and taking the time to review. /M
I'm not sure why Dumbledore is concerned. Most toddlers know what a stranger is, or at least know who the caregivers are. I wouldn't allow someone I didn't know to hug or kiss me, why should she?
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Maybe good old Dumbledore knows more than you and I do? *winks*Thanks for the shinies!! /M
Concerned look, huh? What could that mean?
Poor woman, so depressed and mournful. I'm glad she found the thing she needed to heal.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Hm, what can it mean, what can it mean? You'll have to keep reading, and you'll find out. Hope you'll have a nice weekend! /M
Dear Morgaine,I'm sorry that I haven't been reviewing steadily for this story, but I'm so glad that I fininally got around to reading it properly. Well, what can I say that hasn't already been said? I suppose there's not much. Your narrative is so compelling, the emotions so intense and characterisation so sublime - I am so touched by everything. So far I've always end up crying at the end of your multi-chaptered stories and this one was no exception. There's this sense of bitterweet wellness, that even though Morgaine and Severus have endured far more than their share of misery and pain, now they can finally be together forever. And I'm so glad for them. Thank you, thank you so much for writing this story. Reading it now, especially the ending, brings comforting hope to me. Warm Regards,Angie
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Dear Angie, I am so glad you liked the story and I appreciate your kind words more than you can imagine. This story means so much to me, and it has helped me come to terms with the fact that death is a part of life. Hope to see you soon again. All the best. /M
