Born: in the glorious year of 1979, when Dio joined Black Sabbath and Peter Pettigrew started passing on information to the Dark Lord
Colours: black, green, silver
Passions: writing, cooking, baking, witchcraft
Obsessions: quite a few, chocolate for one (hi Lupin!), but mainly a certain Potions master and a blond DE.
When I am not writing alone, I co-write with my favourite Ravenclaw star_girl. Look for sevs_starsisters to find our stories.
Published writer since 2014. Original fiction is good fun, but I find myself returning to fan fiction every now and then

Now there are black skies in the horizon, hopefully Severus and Morgaine can protect Demeter. I hope she will tell Severus of Lucius and his threats and sinister plans
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
So you don't trust Lucius, do you? He'll be so disappointed :P
Poor little girl. Can't help but be nervous about meeting her father. Can't blame her either. Finally Morgaine has told her what she needed to hear. I hope it can be helpful for the both of them.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
I'd be nervous, too ;-)All Demeter knows about her father is what she had learnt from books. She knows "Severus Snape, the War Hero", but she does not know what kind of person he was/is. Of course, she is nervous. But as Morgaine said: Severus is nervous as well. Not long now. It's September soon.Cheers. /M
That chapter was lovely.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Thank you!! I am so glad you liked it! :)
Dear Morgaine, I'm very sorry to have neglected your story. My only excuse is that university has been unbelievably busy. Now that it's over for the year I'm very glad to catch up.
I adored this chapter (and how the story has been going so far), especially that for the first time we're getting a bit of Demeter's perspective. And it's quite charming how much her personality is like her father's. She's absolutely lovely. Cheers, A

Dearest, there is no need to apologise. My stories and I are not going anywhere, and I am very glad that you came back.I am glad you like Demeter. She is fun to write, especially because she has inherited quite a lot from Daddy.Stick around, more is on its way. Cheers. /M
That girl sounds so much like her father! That comment about poisonous plants and stupid people is pure Snape.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Snark runs in the family :)Glad you liked the chapter. More is on its way. Cheers. /M
Great story so far! I'm hoping that you've got something big planned for Severus...seeing as how he can physically hold Morgaine's hand now....I'm excited to see the developments in the upcoming chapters! I can't wait for him to meet Demeter! Cheers! :)
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Hi there! I'm so pleased to read that you like this story, too. For some reason, I find it very hard to write, although I know exactly what is going to happen. I have big plans indeed, not only for Severus. Hope you will like it.Cheers. /M
Perhaps Severus should let her go, maybe he will find peace and cross over himself. So sad, no matter how you look at the situation.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
I created a bog mess, didn't I? They both realise that they are keeping each other from moving on, yet they cannot let go of each other. Sad indeed.
I'm not sure how she had standed it this long not being able to touch him. It's nice that he's somehow figured out how to hold her hands, but what good can that bring? He's still dead... a ghost. I fear it will only make that even more evident as they cannot do anything more than hold hands. Well, at least at this point.Lovely and poignant last line.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Maybe Severus will learn more magic? Maybe he will be able to "conjure" a body. Maybe, maybe, maybe ... I have my plans, but I'm not telling, of course.Glad you're still with me! /M
This looks like a major plot twist to me. Why can Severus do magic? What makes him different than other ghosts?
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Severus Snape is way cooler than other ghost ... heheSeriously now: partly, it has to do with him having been a very powerful wizard when still alive. Also, his mental powers were extraordinary. I figured that would help. And ... no, you'll have to wait for the rest. You may ask questions that can be answered with yes or no, though ;)Thanks for reading, for leaving a note and the shinies :)
That was amazing. The emotions were just so... raw. It made me cry... *sniff*
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Here I go again, making people cry ... Raw? Is that good?Love it that you're still with me! /M

What I mean is that the angst and torment are so very real and moving. So I very much intended it to be a compliment! It is an absolute pleasure to be following your story!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
In that case, I am very happy!! :)Wishing you a nice weekend. /M
Response from angelmaple (Reviewer)
:)You too!!
It's amazing she was able to return to herself after that ordeal!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
There are still many obstacles to overcome. As you've read the original story, Morgaine will return to Hogwarts together with Remus. Demeter will stay in Iceland. It will be hard on all of them.Thank you for reading and leaving a note! /M
How sad, he missed out on so much... even knowledge of his own child.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
It seems cruel not to have shown him earlier that he has been able to create something as pure and innocent as a child, but Dumbledore is right: it was too dangerous. Now, Severus has a new chance. Because like Dumbledore, I believe in second chances. When it comes to Severus, I gladly give him a third and a forth.Thank you very much for reading and leaving a note. /M
Response from sinbad (Reviewer)
New meaning for 'Ghost Dad'.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
haha, indeed!
A mess, just as I predicted. Poor Severus can't even rest in peace. What a way to find out...
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
And he, if anyone, deserves to rest in peace. Exactly my/Morgaine's point. Thanks for sticking with me. :)
It's finally happened!! Not the way I imagined - it's so much more dramatic! Poor Severus, to be shocked like this, and poor Morgaine!Yeah Dumbledore is quite the Machiavellian figure, as he has always been behind that benign exterior. But I do recognize that he didn't have a lot of choices and had to think of the 'greater good'. That is not to say Severus should not throw paint/tomatos/avada kedavra at him. Great chapter!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Wouldn't have been fun to let Morgaine break it gently to Severus, would it? *evil grin* As for Dumbledore, I'm thinking paint thinner, hehe. Thanks for "moving" with me :)
Response from angelmaple (Reviewer)
No problem :) it's my pleasure!
Evil cliffie! Evil cliffie! Well, the cat's out of the bag. Not the best way to find out. And still, our 'beloved' Dumbledore can only see things from his own pov. What a jerk. It's too bad Severus didn't try the killing curse on that portrait!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
That's "evil" number 7 and 8 for me today! Ha, I'm going for a new record ;-)Dear Dumbledore is a jerk indeed, but he is being one for the greater good. Um ... yeah ... Maybe Severus will throw paint thinner at him one day? Thanks for sticking with me and the story. Means a lot! /M
Oh boy, I bet Severus is royally annoyed. This is a terrible way for him to find out... and find out he will.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Prepare for Severus being not-so-happy in the next chapter. It was enormous fun writing his little outburst. Someone will get a piece of his mind, I promise. But he'll calm down ... eventually ;-)Cheers. /M
I think Morgaine waited too long to fess up. Things are really getting interesting. I'm looking forward to the next update.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Big thank you for reading and leaving a note, of course! /M

Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Morgaine has her reasons, one of which will be revealed in the end of the next chapter.
Can ghosts set portraits on fire? If so, I hope dumbledore's portrait is flame retardent.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
If ghosts in general can't set portraits on fire, I think Severus might just start practising ;-) Or he might start practising his Avada Kedavra. Two times is a charm ;-)Zillion thanks for reading and leaving a note! /M
Hmm, intersted to find out what they might want. Nothing good, for sure!
I'mglad she's going to tell him and that she feels better about the whole thing. Can't wait to see what he says!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
So you expect nothing good from the Malfoys? But, but ... hehe, guess their bad reputation isn't easily washed off, even after the war. Guess you'll have to wait and see. Thanks for taking the time to read and review. It means a lot! /M
Oh ho! I have read straight through to here and then to find that little diddy at the end was unendurable! Is it Lucius or Draco? I tend to think Lucius. Afterall, he had a hand in her keeping Severus in the dark, didn't he? Oh, what is that Father of the Serpent up to now? He will have something to say regarding Morgaine's upcoming task won't he? *hum... you are not being kind to either your readers or your characters.... I just hopw we won't have to wait long. Until then... Sara
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
You mean I should be writing the next chapter right now? Or preferably have it finished already? Oups ... :P Seriously, I hope you don't have to wait too long.Dear Lucius has still a bone or two to pick with Morgaine. After all, she tricked him into telling her much more than he should have 12 years ago. He might still be a little grumpy about that. We know how long Slytherins can hold grudges, don't we?Glad you're enjoying the story. Will go write more now!
Response from sara lady dalian (Reviewer)
Despite having an epic SS/OC story in my head that I love (and will probably never write), I don't read much of that ship, usually. I like what you have done with him, and am beginning to see the backstory you are developing. Lucius would definitely want a hand in manipulating their relationship. At this point, I do not remember if LM knows about Demeter. Interesting choice of name, that. Does it have significance? The goddess of the Earth as a potions master's daughter. Hum.... interesting possibilities. Sara

You will get most of your questions answered in the next two or three chapters.
Wonderful chapter, why did I get the feeling of dread with the Malfoy's letter?
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Because Malfoy always has the need to mess things up? ;-)
What a sad chapter, even in death Severus is doubted. Perhaps by the end of the story he will be able to be vindicated and allowed to rest in peace.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Morgaine will certainly do all in her power to convince everyone that Severus Snape has fought for the Light.Thank you for sticking to the story and leaving notes. It means a lot. /M
She needs to tell him. Will she figure out why she won't?
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Morgaine is scared that Severus will react badly. For that, she has her reasons. But still, she should tell him! Thanks for sticking to the story, deb. It means a lot! /M
Excellent.
Response from morgaine_dulac (Author of Always By Your Side)
Thank you, Kyria! Nice to have you back!!
