Reviews for Caramel
I am itching to run to the next chapter immediately (I can't believe I missed all these updates), but I will pause briefly to leave a review. Hopefully I won't misspell too badly because of my haste! There were so many good bits to this chapter, that it's hard for me to pick out a "favorite", but I really did like:There was, as it happened, no section on ‘deflowering a virgin’ in 101 Ways to Drive a Witch Wild by the editors of WQ Magazine. Indeed, five minutes’ paging through the ‘Seductions’ chapter prompted Severus to throw the book into the fireplace and jab it with a poker into the hottest part of the fire.I could just see him flinging the book into the fireplace with a snarl, and the fact that he actually tried reading it was hilarious all by itself! He really does care, but fortunately he knows better than to try to be anything but himself--his best self. I know the next chapter is going to be fab, and I'm with Hermione...keep talking, Sev, keep talking!

You're the best for leaving such a meaty review between those two chapters! If it were me, I'd have clicked IMMEDIATELY to the next one. Stars, laurels, and coronets for you!
Oh my god! I read this in pieces (after rereading the last two chapters ti get the full effect). I read the last bits sitting in my math class right before it started. The roses had me grinning like a fool. I felt like dancing my own little jig. The only thing that feels a little off is the level if Hermione's maturity. She feels too young and unconfident. I guess that's just because she's unsure and inexperienced though.
I can't wait to see what happens next. I'm so excited and I just can't hide it. And now in singing! Update soon please!

((squeezes you mightily))I am grinning like a crazy person myself. Thank you, thank you! Sorry for the late reply; it's no less heartfelt for that. :DDD
ahh... Secret love, it's so romantic!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
It is! O student/teacher romance, you're so bad you're good. :D
Yea, another chapter. To bad they couldn't be together all night in physical company. At least they got what they really wanted. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Wow, she's certainly looking forward to experimenting with the Caramel - nicely done! Interesting with Jill and good foresight to make sure she destroys the letters just in case of interception.Looking forward to the next chater!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Thanks, J. Yes, that horrible, terrible, bad idea spell is sure coming in handy now, eh? :D
Ukrainians Rule!!!!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
So true! They certainly have some deep, powerful magic, as you will see eventually. (and by the way, my apologies for replying to you so shockingly late--eep!)

You don't mind getting emails like this from me, do you? :DD Hope you're having a swell day.
Upon opening my 'updated story email' you have once again made do the reverential sequence of closing eyes, breathing deeply, and sighing 'yessss.' And that's just from knowing you had updated. There are so many incredible images here conjured by your words that it is impossible to pick one or two. But I wonder what those Ukrainians were up to!!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Tee!!You will not find out what the Ukrainians were up to... until the sequel!!! *iz a deep, deep file*
Are we infering that Bella is his hearts desire? or maybe not? ... curious!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Definitely not. Though they do have something of a history. Erggh.
very interesting, and I really like Jill. Everyone should have a Jill.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
*wants a JillOh wait. I haz one. *happy dances
Well I got up today too early to leave for work, too late to go to the gym. Wondering what to do with my time, and then I find this story updated... bliss. I no longer find this magic creepy since it is mutual. I do think it will take some experimenting on their parts, but they seemed to do pretty darn good on their first tryI like the bit where she wished he could send a better message on the galleon, and before she can think any further on it, he does.Lavender and Jill both make me a bit nervous. Time will tell I guess. You need to find Ron a girlfriend, and not the obnoxious Lavender. Then I won't have to worry about him while our other two couples do their thing. He is such a nice boy... so long as he isn't interfering with Severus and Hermione.Oh, and no need to worry about lack of preview, just update quickly and it won't matter ;)
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Hi IS such a nice boy. Lavender is not irretrievable, but she's not for him. Teenage years can be so UGLY. Bleh. ((moar hugs))
I am so ready for a slow build! -- I think you are about to make my Monday!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)

Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Canon is our friend. Except when it isn't. :P
great chapter not liking the suspense!keep up the great writing can't wait for the next chapter
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Thank you for this! Sorry it took me so long to reply--I've been just awful in that regard. But glad you are/were liking the story!
Yeah I agree with the others in that I'm sad for the both of them. Nothing worse than being separated by circumstances. The caramel is a good trick to have in your arsenal tho!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
It is, it truly is. Thanks for the review, and so sorry it's taken me ages to respond. :( But mostly, thanks!
Well it's about time Hermione cottons on to what the rest of us already know. :) I like the beginning and look forward to reading the rest.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
She's young, that young'un. And he sure doesn't try to look pretty! But she's seen through it all now. :D
With a little sweet caramel they can be together even when they are apart. :)
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
'Tis a good, good thing. Well, mostly.... It'll get complicated.... :PThanks!
"She wasn’t certain, at the moment, which was more real: Gryffindor Tower, Hogwarts Castle, the world in general, and the last seventeen point seven years of her life; or two point four hours in one high, wide, uncanopied bed in the Slytherin dungeons."Ooh! I love the use of specific numbers here! So very in-character for her, I think!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
*smiles happily at you*Thanks. :DDD
Snape rolling over and showing us his soft underbelly (when managed in character) is always highly adorable. Plus that was a particularly good lemon :D
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Excellent! Thank you for your kind words!
Oh lucky lucky me! I get to be the first to review on this delicious chapter!I felt so sorry for them, that they couldn't spend all night together, and I had completey forgotten the P.C. -- what a WONDERFUL idea!I wish I could have heard some of that "psalm of possessive and tender whisperings" Severus murmured to her in his bed--but you've given me some wonderful things to ponder on and dream about as I toddle off to bed.Well worth staying up till 2:30 am for! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Hello, again. I am so glad you enjoyed this one--it was kind of a sweet chapter, wasn't it? I was very glad, myself, when I realized that the caramels could (and would!) work their power for good as well as mischief!
