Reviews for Caramel
Can't wait for the next installment - the UST is incredible, but I love the building of feeling between them most!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Three cheers for UST! And thanks for the friendly review. The next chapter is (finally) on its way in a couple of days. Hope you like it. :D
Dear me, Severus really did get impatient! Can't say I mind >.> Nice to hear there's plenty more to come, am enjoying the story greatly, and should have left a review looooong ago. My bad. Hope to hear from you again soon :D
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Hi, hi, hi, and thanks for the review. Um, he did get impatient, didn't he? I'm a little nervous for what he's going to spring on me next, but it should be good. Next chapter will be up soon... :D
Whee hee, what a great chapter. I'm with Severus, bring on the smut. But that's not the only reason it was great. I loved Snape trying to talk sense into himself during Potions. Really? The next chapter involves a certain spell. Surely it's too soon for the AK isn't it?
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
It is too soon for the AK. Not to be too spoilery, but it's going to be that loooooovvve spell she copied in chapter 7. *cackle* Thanks for the excellent review. *iz happy*
Where do I began? First of all I'm dreading that the time is fast approaching when Severus will have to kill Dumbledore to save Draco. How awful it will be for Severus and Hermione! The apologies they made to each other on the Quidditch Pitch could not have been sweeter, but I cringed when Lavender saw them and immediately started trying to put two and two together. Just when I thought she was going to behave herself, she and Ron break up, and she goes back to her jealous, conniving ways. Please don't let her say or do too many things to make the time Severus and Hermione have left together into too much of a living hell. It's going to be awful enough for Hermione to keep her faith in Severus as it is without having to listen to all the crap stirred up by Lavender.I can't wait to see what happens next, Cori! You're writing a whale of a good tale.Beth

*big smiles at you* Yes, knowing what we all know, things are getting a little nervewracking. I think I know what role Lavender is going to play in the near future, but the girl has a habit of grabbing a little more stage time than I thought she would. It does keep things interesting.
i can only imagine the sight of hermione stretching on the pitch. :D that must've been hot. its a wonder he managed to keep his cool at all lol
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Ah, and now he has that image in his mind. The walls must fall soon!! ;)
You have me firmly planted on the very tips of my toes. What is Lavender up to? Just how much trouble can she cause? Now, that they both know what they want and just take their time to get there, she can cause havoc. I shudder to think.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Yes, there's a lot of no good she could get up to. The next few chapters will show what her role will be (at least in the near term). Stay tuned! :D
I liked seeing the Draco incident through Severus. I'm sure he was indeed furious. And the little stray thoughts about Granger that go through his mind. Oh, so very cute.
Now, Lavender, she's another story, and probably not a good one.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Lavender is a fly in the ointment, for sure. And yes, you can tell he likes her by the way she keeps popping into his thoughts even when they're really unrelated to her.
Awesome update, well done. It's quite complex so you have my admiration. I loved his internal dialogue...Yes. Yes. And… yes. Bugger it. Hope he can fulfil his wishes!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Oh, thanks! I, um, hope he can fulfil his wishes too. I think that would be good, so I'll see what I can do about it. :D
I can't wait to hear how they progress!!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Me either! Working on that; stay tuned!
Wow, he is finally using the f word...friends that is. That along with an apology is a big step for him. Lavender needs to mind her own business! Am looking very forward to the next installment. Hope we get some insight into the dreams they had. This is a lot of fun, keep up the great work!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
A very, very big step. It's been some time in coming; he's been increasingly fond of her for months, even if he couldn't admit it. Thanks for taking the time to review. *glomp*
Still reading the story:)
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Hey! I'm still writing the story! :D
Nice apology, Severus. Now she is swimming in the clouds! LOL :)
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
I know! I kind of can't believe he apologized, but it was a good strategic decision. He even kind of meant it. :D
Uh oh, looks like Hermione is on Lavender's radar again... I hope that she doesn't decide to make trouble because she's angry about Ron. Nevertheless, it sounds as though things are going to be coming to a head very quickly with Severus' "betrayal" soon, so maybe there won't be time for Lavender to do much.I'm on pins and needles to see just how upcoming events are going to continue to shape Severus and Hermione's relationship. I also hope that Draco will come to appreciate Severus' sacrifice for him as time goes on.I can't wait!!!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Yes, we had a rather leisurely runup, but things are getting a little intense what with upcoming events. I won't answer to just what's going to happen with S&H through the tower scene etc., but I do think Draco's going to do them some good before the end. :D
What is a great romance without a little angst? They'll get there eventually. It is a good sign that he realizes that he has positive feelings for her...whatever he wants to think they are. Why do they always have to be so blind?! Nice chapter.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
If they're not blind, the story is very short! Which can be a good thing, I suppose, but I kind of like a long slow trip... Thanks for the kind review.
So when will they realize what the other feels? Before the rest of hogwarts figures it out?
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
No, I think Minerva's going to break the news to them fairly soon, with plenty of lip-pursing and eye-rolling. JK!
Does Hermione even see that Snape would be jealous of her rattling on and on about her male friends to him when she is supposedly attempting to become friends with Snape?
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
I think she's mostly trying to justify herself when she feels he's judging her about helping H&R with their schoolwork. Also, she's trying, a bit, to get him to see that, unlike those other two girls, she doesn't have crushes on H&R, they're just her friends.
excellent! I look forward to reading more.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Oh, thanks! More coming soon...
Excellent chapter! Best line: "I WANT her help. And he did, quite ferociously. Hermione Granger’s help was patently a good, good thing." That really warmed me.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Oh, thank you! She did have to do something rather extraordinary to get that reaction from him, but then again, she is a doer of extraordinary things. And it is crucial that he finds he wants her help, and decides that he will let himself have it. :D
Oops. Hope they sort out this misunderstanding before it grows.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Well, I don't know if they'll sort it out very fast, but they will get past it. Thanks for reading! *smiles*
here you have it in a nutshell.it is not the easy flowing, harmonious, light, absorbed in conversation - events, evenings, experiences, that make him think and reconsider what is going on here. No, it is the first time he hurts her and has to deal with what that does to him, her reaction, fleeing from his spiteful way. Lets hope he gets somewhere. And again the music connects them!! you are glorious!oh yes, what would all the , e. g. boarding school kids give for this silencing spell!!!!I'm so glad, she has realised, that he enjoys her company, that he eases up and senses the positive, the harmony that is growing in these meetings. That is a little balm to her wounded heart. And how easily and sustainably is a heart of a girl in love hurt. ohhhh.that'll take a while. She has opened up to him with a very personal item. and he is so off balance. Well, it is his sensitive subject. but now, for the first time, he has to pay for his behaviour. hehe!! for the first time he feels he is in the wrong! ha!Apologise? Him? to her? not in so many words. maybe in his behaviour. but not directly. my guess.thanks for the music pieces!!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
He really did behave like a big baby here. And he won't be able to really see what he did wrong, but he will find a way to draw her close again. He values her company too much to let the rift widen. I am glad you liked the music choice; the Lachrimae is a set of compositions that is both heartbreaking and soothing, which is rare.
I think they both just told each other a truth of sorts and as these things tend to go - it hurt a bit.Looking forward to the next update and thank you for the music link. I'd never heard Dowland's compositions before, but they are right up my alley.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
I'm so glad you listened to the music--isn't Dowland great? Thanks for the kind review. *smiles at you*
Oh god...Lachrimae...serious depression music...great minds do think alike, as our heroes wallow in whatever it is they are wallowing. That was a great chapter in which we are brought right back to the reality (errm...you know what I mean) that nothing that is worth the effort is easy. And that is a beautiful rendition on modern guitar. Quite beautiful.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Oh, yay, glad you liked the music. They were definitely wallowing, both of them. I do like that neither of them keeps wallowing for too long. Things would get quite dull... Thanks so much for the kind review. *dances off*
A very touching story, and Dowland appearing is just a plus. Poor Severus. Poor Hermione.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Thank you. Yes, this exchange was hard on them both. So much misunderstanding...
