Reviews for Caramel
Very tasty. The dichotomy of his thinking is portrayed beautifully. :)
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Thanks for the kind words, and for sticking with my story! It is a lot for SS to process, for sure...
I loved the past 2 chapters! You really brought forth great emotion. I felt like I was in the middle of it. My heart is racing from Hermione's fear of being discovered and Severus' discovery of Hermione's feelings for him. Wow! I look forward to the next chapter!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Oh, excellent, that is good to hear! It is A LOT of emotion coming to the surface all at once--kind of overwhelming And I have to say, more to come in the next chapters.... Thank you. :D
poor severus.first taking a dreamles potion, and then experiencing the dream of drems. so vivid. And now you reveal the mysterie of this special spell. He feels it all, anygthing she touches and does, is directly transported to his skin.wow, I think I would have been catapulted out of my bed.At least he liked what he felt. But then his thoughts and reaction. It must have been a bad joke, Potter written all over it.oh please, pathetic guy.But maybe that must be his pattern of thought. Why should anybody WANT to touch me.why, if not as a bad cruel joke. And then her. good that she has second thoughts about using an unresearched spell. And now it is clear, why she stops doing the research now.She has to be told by him, that it was a reciprocative spell.only then her reactions she showed were true direct ones, and not controlled ones of a scientist.the one chance for her tears and emotions to run free. Finally he has to be convinced, that there is no plot and no bad joke on the run. What better than what she offers here.though it is torture to her, as you describe so impressively. But he doesn't remain unaffected by what he see by invading her shaken mind. and finally he wraps her up in his arms."does this feel safe"indeed. This must.... an awsome job! Wow!!!just amazing!!!this made my day. read it his morning and now again.wonderful!!always the best and most sensitive part in a sshg story, when they finally get to know each others feelings and get together.soo fine!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Thanks. Wow. I'm VERY glad this chapter hit the sweet spot for you, as you are one of my favorite readers. This is the core of the story (or one of them anyway), and has been much more difficult than other chapters to write. Their emotional responses to the situation and each other are so crucial.
oh you are EVIL!! so very evil!!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Yes. Yes I am. :D
oh that was bad. in a good way...yet still bad. i wonder if it was actually him? or like his mind when he was dreaming or something. i dunno. just means i gotta read more! :D
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
You have to read more? That means I have to write more! Yikes! *skids off to plot some more* :D
Amazing. Thank you!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Thank YOU! and you're welcome. :D
Ahhhh, evil cliffhanger! This is just so... delicious!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Thank you! (And also, sorry about the cliffie... couldn't be helped...) :D
Oh, yes -- you are truly evil (and we love you for it). This was a wonderful chapter in a wonderful story. Your little taste of the upcoming chapter was tantalizing in the extreme as well. Can't wait!!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Whee! *dances* Thank you! In the next chapter, I will try to balance evil with good. I hope you like it! :D
Can't wait for the next chapter! I'm Snape's anger left him quickly.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Next chapter: SS point of view. Most illuminating, I think. And almost ready to post (whew). Hope you enjoy it; thanks for sticking around!
Just fab!But-- you're right: YOU ARE EVIL.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
I know. *iz Umbridge* ;P
Oh my that was great. First he gets all defensive when he feels like he's being made a joke of, and then.. wowza. Can't wait to see where this is going!!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Yes, Legilimency clears up a lot of questions, doesn't it? Too bad she can't see into his mind, too--it's hardly fair. Thanks so much for the stellar review--such a pleasure. :D
Stars and garters, Cori! This was the best chapter so far. I loved how Severus went from angry wizard to caressing lover. Until almost the last moment I feared that he would send her away and tell her in no uncertain terms not to invade his home, or his mind, or his dreams, or his body ever again. But how could he not respond to Hermione once he had seen the truth of her feelings for him? When I realized that he had moved behind her and wrapped his arms around her, I was doing flips in my mind and picturing him pressing her body into his. Then when she realized that he was thoroughly aroused, evidenced by his sensuous nips and kisses and his hard cock pressing into her... well, I thought we, all of us, had surely died and gone to heaven.
I was so glad that Hermione hadn't lost her voice when Severus asked her, "Shall I stop now? I should stop. But shall I?" Her quick response was perfect. "Yes, you stop. My turn."
Thank you for such a lovely chapter. This absolutely made my day! A Thousand Points to Your House.Beth
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Yay, you like it! I have been waiting for QUITE SOME TIME to unleash that confrontation scene--I think I wrote it in, like, February, and the story has only now caught up to it. I am very proud of Hermione for speaking up there at the end. It's proof she can hold her own with him. Also super hot! Thanks for the review, and for the points! (My house can use them right about now...)
oh yum. just plain yum. that was delicious...
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Oh, thanks!
*fans self* I think Hermione got more from the spell than she bargained for. My-Oh-My. Will she be able to restrain her use of this bit of magic? I don't think so, but only time will tell. I wonder what thoughts will be running through Severus' mind if he recalls his dream.Very nicely written chapter with oodles of possibilities. Well done!Beth
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Your questions are either answered by chapter 22 or soon to be answered by chapter 23. Or, most of them, anyway. Because, as you say, there are many possibilities about...
Oh, I feared this would end badly, but it was wonderfully satisfying. Thanks.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Yay! Satisfying is good. Though they are not out of the woods yet. Much drama (and also satisfaction) TK. :D
Next chapter please... :)
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Yes maam. Coming up. :D
I'm coming to this fairly late, but am truly enjoying it. I think you've captured everyone's voice very well, but Ron's especially. "Death's ugly aunt?" Priceless! And that line would have been hilarious if Snape hadn't been so badly hurt.Thank you so much!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Thanks so much to YOU, I'm delighted you're enjoying it. I'm especially glad you picked out that line, which I completely loved when I thought of it because that is absolutely what Ron would think of SS. :D
Ha, wow. That was awesome. I think feeling guilty is way natural -- much more natural than it would have been if she had tossed caution to the wind and went for the gusto. Thanks for writing :)
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Thank you! And I agree. Reality and fantasy can be jarringly different, which is something everyone has to discover for themselves. HG is learning.
Holy cow! I so did not expect that ending. I really thought we were in for a bit of angst. You are terribly evil! Might as well Avada me now as I will probably die with anticipation anyway. So you've scrapped 2 drafts already, that means you are on to number three. Third times a charm and all that... so you will be updating soon, right? *makes sad puppy dog eyes at you*. As much as it kills me to say it, I'd rather have perfection than speed... or that is what I am trying to convince myself of. Looking forward to more!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
What? A bit of angst? From moi? Never! Seriously, though--if I wrote any more chapters of near misses and solitary longing, I'd start getting the AK thrown at me from many directions--including from the characters themselves! And yes, third time was the charm. I cannot believe how much I had to trash in the process. Very cranky making, but these are crucial chapters and need to be just right. Will post this weekend. :D
Oh my goodness gracious. Fantastically done, and... oh, need more! And the spell was a caramel, how lovely, and.... ok, this story is my new fanfiction crack. Now deal me some more before I go into withdrawal!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
WIPs are awful, aren't they? I have positively stalked a couple of authors whose stories I NEEDED to read more of NOW, dammit! I am workitting away, and the next chapter is nearly ready to serve up. Much drama this time, again, but no ebil cliffie. Thanks for the excellent review. :D
Fantastic! You leave me breathless, in a variety of ways. The great peak of their seemingly endless waiting has not disappointed in the least... though really, Legilimency wasn't very nice of him. I've always thought Legilimency was quite uncouth- barging into somebody's mind like that. But it certainly got the job done here. Good show!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Very very glad it has not disappointed--cause I know that was a long slow burn. And, no, Legilimency was not nice. But he's kind of a ruthless person, and definitely Not Nice. Amazing, worthy, lovable, shaggable (mais oui!), but not nice.
Wow. This. Is. Amazing. I'm hooked. Dying formore. Guh. Just speechless. Ilove how you keep to canon (mostly), and yet how you open up a completely different realm with your story. Very nicely done. Anxious for more!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Oh, thank you! It is a great feeling to render readers speechless, hooked, and eager for more. :D Canon is so powerful, you know? It seems crazy not to hook into that drama as much as possible to drive my own story.
Yes you're evil, but it's a good kind of evil! Write as many versions of the next chapter as you need to in order to make it the way you want it. You will win!I have no words for how absolutely terrifying, beautiful, sexy and wonderful this chapter was. It was a roller-coaster of emotions, and the ride was fantastic! I am so looking forward to seeing Sev's thoughts as he uncovers the truth of her feelings for him, and I feel like doing a little happy dance all around the room. Naturally I want the next chapter up as soon as possible, but while I'm waiting if I get too excited I'll just read this chapter over and over again. Brava!
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
Wowza, thank you! *blushes from teh praise* "Terrifying, beautiful, sexy, and wonderful"--what could be better than all that? Thanks so much! Again! (And the third time was the charm for chapter 23. I have emerged victorious, and will post tomorrow--Saturday.)
OOOOOOOOOOOOH!*gasps*Needmoreplease!SGx
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
ROFL--yes, madam! More soon. :D
Fantastic. I loved Hermione saying "I might not be altogether sane". Also enjoyed Madam Pince. But the Hermione/Severus interaction was over the top. And I mean that in the best possible way. Could you please quit your job, or whatever other RL activities in which you partake, and just keep writing this story.
Response from corianderpie (Author of Caramel)
LOL--I actually did quit my job recently! But am now at home with small children, so... not so much more time for autonomy and creativity. I'm so glad you love the story, because I really do too. And I think that everyone who has stuck with the story through 20+ chapters of slow build deserves some OTT Severus and Hermione scenes, yes? More to come soonsoonsoon..
