Received Honorable Mention in Anything Goes Challenge. Sybill Trelawney has been hiding a huge secret. She’s not the witch she appears to be. Now that she is no longer in danger, she can come out of hiding and be herself. But who is she, really? And what does she want out of life?

I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)
Reviews for The Real Me
I'm glad that vision finally came true. I've been looking forward to it.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Heh, heh. It took some time, but it was good for both of them when it did happen.
we know he will be happy if sybil says so. i'm looking forward to how they'll deal with it. faboo update, my deb. thanks so much. (me blowing kisses)
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Thanks, hon! Yes, he will be, but it will be interesting to see the new Lucius.
Loved Narcissa's reactions, and how you expressed her feelings for Lucius. Given what you have in this story, he was a real mean git. I was surprised that Draco wanted to be the one to Oblivate Lucius, but I suppose in a way, it was some paybeck of some kind.Lucius was so realistic in how he raged and the way he was reawakening. Nice touch in how Narcissa greeted him.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Thanks, hon. I think Draco wanted a bit of revenge, and wanted to be the one to either help him, or consign him to a life of utter babbling. He hoped that it would work, but didn't want Severus to have to live with any guilt associated with the act if it didn't work.Lucius was definitely a mean git. Hopefully a kinder, gentler Lucius will emerge from his Obliviation.
Now that's a brilliant idea! :)
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Thanks! Hopefully it will work as they hope.
I liked the story about Sybill, her new life and the Malfoys. It was a nice idea and beautifully written. However, I will never like the idea of Sybill and Severus. That's too weird.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
lol that is a bit different. isll definitrly give you that. glad you liked the rest
no, i did not see that coming! what a compasionate thing to do and that way everyone will be happy. i think narcissa will agree. great update, my deb. thanks so much (me blowing kisses)
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
It is compassionate, although I doubt Lucius will see it that way!
haha you fooled me,. I thought Draco was imperiusing Lucius, so that Lucius would end up dead or imprisoned so Draco would inheirit. This is a good idea. It might be a good way to deal with all DEs.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Oh, wow. That's a good idea too, about Draco, and it would have been quite the plot twist. Obliviate all DE's, huh? That really would be an interesting solution. Can you imagine if Voldie had survived and had been Obliviated? Harry could have just cast an Obliviate instead of the equally harmless Expelliarmus. "Why is my nose gone?"--Voldie"You're Michael Jackson."--RonBah, hah, hah!
I actually feel a little bit sorry for Draco, (and I never feel sorry for Draco) I thought maybe Severus could convince Lucius & Narcissa that Sybil 'saw' where Lucius was. BUT it looks like Draco bolluxed that up with his insistance on leaving dad behind.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
That might have worked, but Draco knew that Severuw was coming for Lucius. I don't think he thought about other alternatives.
Good thing that Severus is better at this than Lockheart! Good thing Draco got that intuition go go check on his father! Nice update.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Thanks. Yes, Lucius definitely has a better chance than Lockhart ever did! And Draco did save the day, so I guess he deserved to feel smug.
hey, what are you doing! let me hang here at this cliffie. It was nice how she worked her way to get her duel, or fight with Malfoy. she and him planing, training and finally fighting together. Good Idea. yes, she is getting into danger just for the fun of it.maybe die together, then there would be two heroes?finally Draco turned round and helped them. I'm to thankfull to him.but the plan seems to have been to simple, Malfoy could see through it so easily. frightfully quick. grrr.there is something waiting for them.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
There definitely is something waiting for them, and it's a very mad, very insane Lucius! Maybe they will die together! You'll find out in the next chapter.
Oh dear. I hope our heroes are up to the job! :
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
We can only hope!
ooohh you evil cliffie creator, you! faboo update, my deb. i await the fight with baited breath! thanks so much (me blowing kisses)
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
I am evil, am I not? Mwahahaha! I've sent the next chapter to my beta so it'll be up in a little bit.
If Sybill is that good, why didn't Severus have her confirm thier plans with the cards or crystal ball? Pretty sly of Lucius to figure out the plan.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Lucius is definitely not one to be underestimated. Sybill's good but the science is still imprecise. She probably did what she could, but she can only see whether the outcome will be favorable or not.
yay! finally! poor severus...i'm glad he fianlly realized about lily. i look forward to seeing them together in the castle. thanks so much, my delightful deb. (me blowing kisses)
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Thanks, hon. It's always nice when Severus sees the light about Lily. It makes me so sad that he clung to her memory for so long. Lots more to come.
And thank YOU for a longer chapter. It was an extremely emotionally satisfying chapter, with both characters finally expressing what I've been looking forward to for so long! The lovely descriptions were set off by delightful dialog.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Thanks, Merrin. It took a bit, but hopefully, now they'll move ahead and be happy. Well, that's if they can get rid of Lucius!
Aw, thanks for the update. I am happy to see your 'new and improved' Sybil. and I'm glad to see Snape is getting past his old infatuation with Lily. 'bout time!
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
It's definitely about time. The poor guy was obsessed for far too long. But I think it had a lot to do with his mission and need to protect Lily's son. He deserves some happiness, and the 'new and improved' Sybill can definitely give him that.
Yes, Finally!! Woo hoo! Kissing. Just wait until Severus gets his hands on Malfoy! He won't stand a chance!
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
I take it the kissing was satisfactory? That's good. More to come! You're right, Lucius will defintely be in trouble. But Severus has to find him first.
such a devilish plan. to use the girls features as a trap for Sibyll.they are both sulkin far away, wanting to be near each other, what a funny scene. And then the ring comes to action. almost forgot about that item. And the former friends have a duel.I'm astonished that Severus killed the first one right on the spot. Old habits die hard? he still has it.must have felt like the good old times - the fight I mean. She is just safed for the moment. but not safe for life. Getting more and more intersting.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Old habits certainly do die hard. Severus also knew that with two against one, he'd have to make the first strike to even out the playing field. And you're absolutely right. She's just safe for the moment. Lucius has escaped and he won't sit quietly until his goal has been achieved.
The thoughts going on in Dracos head are remarcable. one really believes that this is status quo for him after the war.excellent observations. about his father. about his mother.nice done!!wow! this is very courageous, to look future literally and practicly in the eye. *bows*some things cannot be avoided. She knows it will happen. but why isn't she allowed a small information that she will survive?? just a glimps? that is so cruel. it is no fun being a seer.Don't tell me I didn't warn you. Oh Severus. once she is dead she will not be in the position to complain or chat or anything... unfortunately. But I have the feeling he will be very very sorry if that happens.*sniff*
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
It's certainly daunting being able to see the future, and in this case, only bits of it, and have to go on, even if it's something terrible that's going to happen.Severus would certainly be feeling terrible if Sybill was killed, or even hurt for that matter.I'm glad you liked the part about Draco. He's really stuck in his role as 'dutiful son' here. At least he sees his father for who he is.
