I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)
Reviews for The Real Me
I have never before disliked Hermione more than I do in this chapter; nicely done. When I saw the update I squee for the first time.

Thanks! I don't usually write a nasty Hermione, but I thought I would have some fun with her and accentuate her less noble qualities. I think she has the ability to get screechy and immature sometimes, and this was one of those times.

I really like this chapter! good job. I really like how you've captured Hermione. ANd I like Sybil's confidence in her own visions.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Sybill is happy that her confidence can be conveyed to those around her also. She knows she's good, everybody else needs to learn that too! Hermione really can be very domineering and immature at times. I usually prefer a more grown up version, but as she's not the heroine here, I felt free to explore her darker side. Mwahahaha.
Response from pookah (Reviewer)
that's neat because I feel the same way about Hermione! I love to see her mature and caring, (and she is a deeply caring person) but you have captured her in a less-than-perfect mode, and done an excellent job.

I can see her point. Hermione does not like being taken down a peg, does she?
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Oh, she hates it. She's not fond of being wrong, is she? She's a bit immature here, but their past history keeps her from seeing 'The Real Trelawney.'

Severus and pillow fight. Not a pairing I would have expected.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
I don't think anyone expected that, including myself, but once the idea reared it's ugly head, it demanded to be written.

I like the conversation she has with Harry. He is allowed to see her as her normal self, she thanks him and gives him good advice for a change. Isn't that something.Sybill the adviser. Nice job. but why this idea with moving to Hogsmeade when weeks before she had drowned her sorrows about being in grave danger in alcohol.Hm, is this wise? well, at least the knight Severus is at her side. we hope the best but expect the worst.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
She has some really wise words, now that she is 'free.' As for the Hogsmeade idea, it's pure foolishness. But the lady is used to being flighty and has never had the chance to be impulsive. Combined, these two things will not bring wise choices for her. But her choices will eventually be the right ones, and she will get confirmation that she should do what she will do. It all has to do with that Seer stuff. And yes, thank heaven's for knight's in shining black armor.

they are working their way straight up to each other.and this new severus is extremely relaxed.hey, I could do with a pillow fight against him.but I would have the same problem as Sybil. I would break down with laughter from the thought alone.funny scene.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Wouldn't you though? (die laughing, that is.) It's so out of character. But it's nice to see him a bit more relaxed. It's good for him. At least, that's what I think.

It's nice that Harry was told those premonitions. I think it was healing for him. I hope he takes the advice and joins the Aurors.Severus is really adorable in this chapter. I'd go with him to Hogsmeade!
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Ahh, who wouldn't go with him to Hogsmeade? He's the perfect body guard, with benefits.

His advice to her was so insightful. and I like how open they are with each other.I think they both need it.I totally loved the pillow fight!
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
They're truly developing a deep friendship. Severus just doesn't have pillow fights with anyone.

Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Oh, lots will happen in Hogsmeade! It's the place to be, isn't it? The next chapter will be up very soon, as i just sent it to SW. Thanks!

I really enjoyed this chapter! I liked her chat with Harry and I like that Severus is protective of her. Thanks for the update.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Severus is protective of her, and for the life of him cannot understand why. Lol

Yeah, tactful, Severus – barge in to see Narcissa and make demands! Where is the Slytherin cunning? Leave it to a drunk witch to get Severus to finally take a good look at his life and realize he could leave the past behind and live!I’m surprised she didn’t kiss him – or try to!
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
She should have kissed him, huh? I don't think she's quite at that stage yet. At least she got Severus to think.

Gads! The woman actually ate some of Hagrid’s cooking! She is brave or especially polite! I lied the idea of her doing the ‘tall dark __, will be the love of your life’ thing. Severus is remaining in the castle – to teach – students? Really? And Sybill sees the Grim! LoL Of course!
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
The good thing is that she didn't die from her politeness! And of course she sees the Grim. I think her teacups are imprinted with the shape, so the tea leaves just adhere to it. Lol

I love this story! It's nice to see a story where Sybill isn't a loon. Keep up the good work. Hope to read the next xhapter soon!
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Oh, thanks so much! It's so nice to have a positive, smart Sybill, isn't it? Although, I think half the fun of Trelawney is her craziness, though, so we go there quite a bit. I'm hoping to get one more update in before the deadline for the challenge. But this fic is pretty well finished, so there'll be plenty more.
Well, drat! After such a lovely, insightful chapter, now all I can think about is her having to deal with him and his wand ;)
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Heh, heh. Now you and your wandering mind have made it so that I will think of nothing but his wand also. Holy double entendre, Batman!

Good chapter. She can't change all at once and that bottle must have been a terrible temptation. I'm very happy to hear she doesn't like the feeling! Thanks for the update!
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Temptation indeed. Her drinking has been part of her life for so long, I'm sure it was easy for her to find herself in the bottom of a bottle again, especially considering the circumstances. Luckily for her, she's not dealing with a real addiction and will be able to 'kick the habit' without too much of a problem.

lucius has a butler?sure?what has become of his house-elfes?that's a nice idea what you give him to think over!If Sybill can change, why not the best actor in the world?change attitude, lesser sharp tongue, and what else.sometimes I think, the best thing JKR did was, if S.S. had to die, then by the snakebite. That left the fandom something to do. Just think if it had been the Avada.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
He still has his house-elves. I have always pictured a butler in there somewhere too. It just seems Malfoy-like. If it's possible to have it, then Malfoy will.'best actor in the world.' I like that. It's totally him! Well, here's his chance to do something different. And if JKR had done the Avada, there would be no Snape memories for Harry, and all of fandom would be making up wild reasons why the Avada didn't work, because we all know Snape must live!

I get a kick out of drunk characters. LOL Good work on this.

Aww, she was so happy that she found another bottle LOL. These two go together so well in this story!
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
She was quite excited that she found that misplaced bottle. It just goes to show that when you really want to find your stash, you can!

A set back that managed to have Severus looking into a big pair of green eyes? I like that.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Heh, heh. Glad you liked the eyes.

poor thing. people do tend to revert in times of stress...and she had been that way for quite a while. but she could be really good for our seviekins. thanks so much and i look forward to the next chapter
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
It is a bit hard for her right now, and she's just doing what she knows best. I think she and Seviekins would find good company in each other.

Aw, he takes such good care of her. That was so touching. Another brilliant chapter, until next time, be well.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Thank you! I'm glad you are liking this. He was rather considerate of her, wasn't he? But he was laughing like crazy inside.

that was a quick just in time show down. And a nice solution. But would obliviate really change ones character. not really.but if it helps by removing the memories.well, draco is right. in askaban, lucius would only sit and rot and get angry and sad and closer to death, and would maybe still understand nothing at all.with this whitewashed mind maybe he has a chance to become something different from what he is now.But there are many years to destroy. oh my. where would they start, what to take out?what to leave in?have fun by experimenting. awaitng your update.salva
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
Thanks salva! No, the Obliviate wouldn't change his character, that's true. But erasing all of the things he experienced will give him a new start. Azkaban would definitely not do that. They're looking at doing a full Obliviate here, just like Lockharts.
"no charges will be filed against you"*tralalalala"!!!!!! yes, he deserves a break. thank you!"he marveled at how women could get ecxited by the most mundane things". Ba! hey ! you! just because you don't even lift an eyebrow when you e.g. get around with having killed someone, you don't understand that people can enjoy little things?!! not all have to lead a life in the fridge. and shopping is fun! ha! Sybill will have much patience with him and he with her in these matters I presume.Hens party? jack in the box. not so much to my satisfaction, you black-dressed no-go. *g*"it'S not the exercise, it's the time it takes." o.k. he is a gentleman, knows what to say...oh yes, I enjoyed the fluff.
Response from debjunk (Author of The Real Me)
I couldn't have him go through more stress, no Ministry intervention! He's like most men, who think women cluck about mundane things and live to shop. Part of his musings are his sarcastic sense of humor. After all, his lovely Sybill is one of those hens planning to shop. He is amused by them, but in his snarky manner, he has to be derogatory about it.Thanks,

delicious and delightful fluff! great update. thanks so much
