"A Murder of Crows" was my first foray into fan-fiction, and I treasure the lessons I've learned while posting it.

I really like this story so far... The suspense though, that just isnt fair! :(Just kidding, I hope you update soon though! I'm anxious to find out what happened between McGonagall and Snape, and also, what happened while Hermione was at Arglist.

What a great beginning! Your back story has been very detailed and has given the reader a good understanding of what has taken place in the character's lives since the fall of Voldermort.I am curious about what took place while Hermione worked for Arglist and what was Mikolaj Brukowsk's connection the firm. Why had Hermione left so hurriedly? And, Wonder-of-Wonders! Severus has awakened from his long slumber. This is a momentous occurrence! And tickles me no end!Good job!Beth

Excellent timing - I just sent the next chapter to my betas yesterday! I will post as soon as they return it ... there isn't ususally much to change: a few stray commas and whatnot. Not long now, I promise. (Though I should warn you I feel a bit ho-hum about this chapter. I'll be anxious to know what you think ...)
Hello fantastic writer, I do hope you're still around and can appreciate such a late review. I have been an avid HG/SS fan since the beginning. It's always just made sense. I feel as if I've attempted to read every piece of fanfiction with the ultimate goal: a realistic plot of magic, a true representation of the magical world, and of course the utmost important - an in-character Snape and Granger. Recently, I feel I've been grasping at straws. I've found the hidden gem here and there, but it's so difficult to find a piece and simply say, "wow." To be honest, I found this story maybe two to three weeks ago and I couldn't put it down. I felt as if I rushed through the story (although I promise, I read every word) and felt at a loss when it was over. Since that time, I've attempted to read other stories and I couldn't even focus as i kept thinking of this story. How very few stories can compare to this caliber. Shamefully, I never leave a review for any story. I hope you do see this and know that even after so many years, this story should leave readers wanting more, but sated and should encourage writers to aspire to create masterpieces. Without a doubt, simply the best. Thank you.
i'm trying to catch up on my behindness with the fics i was following, and see that i am caught up on yours, since you haven't posted in a while. but what an awful place to leave us hanging - practically literally! when can we expect more, dear author? soon i hope. am happy to offer bribes if you let me know what's effective. :D

Omg 'Schitz & Drewls'! I think I've read this story at least four times and I just noticed this. You kill me!

Tee hee. Yeah, you kind of have to say that one aloud. :-) If I ever open up a baby boutique, I am totally naming it that!!!Thanks so much for reading. And ... four times? Really? OMG, I love you so hard right now. xoxox

You are too kind! I apologise for the delay in replying (and posting updates!). As soon as I finish editing and posting my exchange fic, I'll be able to return to this story. (Can't seem to multi-task humour and angst!) I hope I haven't lost the readers by then ... Thank you so much for your lovely review!
Thank you for a wonderful story! I can't believe this was your first fanfiction, you're amazing :) I love the ups and downs in Snape's and Hermione's relationship, and the twist with the investigation took me totally by surprise. The story is one of my favourites in this fandom, thank you for writing it :)

Very good story, i particularly love the way you write at times, the way you describe things, the way you give a large passage of time without seeming to just write it off to make the story move along faster. I wanted to smash their heads together at times (that's nothing new though, they're both too stubborn), just to make them wake up and smell the coffee that they are perfect for each other lol. Thanks for sharing your work with us.
Response from HogwartsClassof91 (Author of A Murder of Crows)
Thank you so much for reading my story! I wanted to bang their heads together, as well, but I do enjoy the dichotomy of people who are brilliant professionally but a bit dense when it comes to emotions and relationships. Thanks for the review! xoxo
Thank you so much for writing this. It was honestly a wonderful read.
Response from HogwartsClassof91 (Author of A Murder of Crows)

You're very welcome! And thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review and let me know you enjoyed it. It really makes me feel so good to know I've managed to provide a bit of entertainment. Thanks again!
Hmm... really wondering what this mystery is that involves Severus. I don't think he's out to harm Hemrione though, but that may jsut be m optimism of the couple in general. :)
Response from HogwartsClassof91 (Author of A Murder of Crows)
I'll be returning to this story soon, and I believe the coming chapters will reveal quite a bit on the remaining mystery. Thanks so much for the review!
Excellent Chapter. Hermione did her best to tempt Lucius. and you did a wonderful job having her just a bit tempted even though she knows it's all for evil.
Response from HogwartsClassof91 (Author of A Murder of Crows)
I'm glad you saw her little hesitation there! It would be hard not to be tempted, I think. Thanks so much for the review and stars!!
Two very confused people here. So, he never thought he'd come to care for someone more than ... and surprised even himself with that revelation? And she's discovered that (pursuant to her request, and his agreement, to "look into" the situation with Lucius and Arglist, and having told her (iirc) that he had to walk carefully and consult some secret, "inside" sources for his information), despite her protestations of loving him and trusting him, that perhaps her "trust" really ISN'T all that complete, yet, either? Both of them still growing, still learning---about themselves, AND about each other. Hermione to trust, and surrender the need to always be in full control of everything herself (and that's what trust MEANS, doesn't it?), and Severus leaning to let go his fear -- of loving, and of all the potential hurt that can go with that.Tremendous job! And I can't wait for more!
Response from HogwartsClassof91 (Author of A Murder of Crows)
I cannot believe I never responded to this review ... How very remiss of me! You have summed up their relative positions quite brilliantly, I'd say. It really all comes down to trust, doesn't it? And like faith, trust isn't something you can force upon yourself, no matter how badly you may desire it. Either you trust someone or you don't. And maybe she's confident about her trust in several different aspects, but as the dream revealed, there is some part of her still left questioning.Very interesting that you had mentioned her learning to surrender the need to be in control of everything, as that's touched upon in the next chapter. Which, by the way, was just posted. Thank you so much for the amazing, insightful review!
Good chapter and what a hum dingier of a nightmare! It gave me the chills.
Response from HogwartsClassof91 (Author of A Murder of Crows)
So glad I was able to chill you! My apologies for the delay in replying (and posting updates!). I should be able to return to this story soon ... I just have two more chapters of my exchange fic to edit and post, and I'm looking forward to resuming this!
Wow. This sounds bad! I do hope it wasn't prophetic!
Response from HogwartsClassof91 (Author of A Murder of Crows)
I hope so, too! Thanks so much for the review - I apologize for the delay in replying (and posting updates!). I just have two more chapters of my exchange fic to edit and post, and then I'll be able to return to this story. I hope you'll still read it!
Response from cmwinters (Reviewer)
Of course I will!!!
Schitz & Drewls! Briliant name! so funny. and it was sweet to see Hermione and ROn pick up again after years. I recently saw an old friend after 30 years' separation and we felt instantly comfortable with each other. We didn't argue, though. (but we never did before)
Excellent chapter. RL has so much intruded into my fanfiction habit. I shall never catch up on all the stories I am reading. But I have to catch up on this one!
Response from HogwartsClassof91 (Author of A Murder of Crows)
I totally understand about RL interfering with fanfiction! I apologize for the delay in replying (and posting), but I should be able to return to this story as soon as I've finished editing and posting my exchange fic (only two more chapters - yay!)
that was a scarry dream. i hope it doesn't mean what it seems to mean. wonderful update. thanks
Response from HogwartsClassof91 (Author of A Murder of Crows)
Thanks so much! I apologize for the delay in replying (and posting!). I'll return to this story as soon as I finish editing and posting my exchange fic ... I hope you'll still read!
And yet, he nicely side stepped the question of where he went with a confession of affection. Interesting dream.
Response from HogwartsClassof91 (Author of A Murder of Crows)
You noticed that, eh? He has a rather annoying habit of dodging questions and answering with more questions. Grrr. But she won't always be so easy to distract. Things are going to heat up pretty fast now.As always, thanks so much for reading and leaving a great review!!
Wow! WOW!!!! That was too spooky...well done! This is the best story!
Response from HogwartsClassof91 (Author of A Murder of Crows)
Thank you so much!! I apologize for the delay in posting and replying to your review! I just have two chapters of the exchange fic left to post, and then I'll return to this story. I hope I haven't lost readers with this hiatus!!
dream! or premonition! was that a little bit of lion king i saw there? being saved only to be tossed away?also, lucius says to tell you he will not be returning next chapter as he has been horribly humiliated and is now sporting a rainbow mohawk, 6 tattoos, fishnet, long pink nails...and for some unknown reason, assless chaps. He says that he thanks you to let him wallow in his stupidity in believing an innocent little child who took him to a salon...also, hermione is evil! she did the mohawk..yeahgreat chapter, as always!
Response from HogwartsClassof91 (Author of A Murder of Crows)

Thank you so much! I apologize for the delay in posting and replying to this review. I'll be able to return to this story as soon as I wrap up the posting of my exchange fic (only two more chapters there - yay!)
It still leaves me to wonder if Severus is keeping something from Hermione. I'm in two minds whether he meant when he said that he cares for her very much, not sure if he was saying it to get out what he let slip or that he meant it and didn't want Hermione to know what a softy he is really? Look forward to how it plays out.
Response from HogwartsClassof91 (Author of A Murder of Crows)
Thank you so much for the stars and the review! My intention was to leave people wondering, so I'm actually glad you have questions (though you'd probably prefer you didn't). I will return to this story soon ... reading the reviews have inspired me!
