I'm a 30 something home-maker, writer and researcher. Harry Potter fanfiction is my passion and my great escape from everything. I am deeply in love with Severus Snape and he is the only man I would ever consider leaving my husband for. I am most fond of happy endings. Life is too full of angst and heartache, my dreams and thoughts need something more uplifting.
I was born in Sri Lanka and have lived in India, Poland and now, obviously the UK.
I love food, so many of my stories will have detailed descriptions of things I'm currently craving. I also love travelling, the arts and crafts, cooking, baking, oil painting, especially the pre-Raphaelites, literature and culture in general. My favourite colours are at present are royal purple, silver, emerald green, true red and fucshia. Colour is like music, it speaks silently to the soul when it needs it most.

This was a fun chapter. How nice that he was given a party, even if he did have to wait forty years to have a good birthday. And Bill and Fleur, seriously, get a room. There always has to be that one couple at every event who don't really care who is watching ;)They were surely dying with need by the time they made it back to his rooms. What an amazing gift she gave him, and probably just what he needed to understand just how devoted she is to him. Anxious to see what is up next!

What a lovely rite, and such an unequivocal way to let Severus know that she loves and trusts him completely. And she knows he truly loves her because he was so concerned that he might hurt her. Perhaps he won't need quite so much continued reassurance of Hermione's feelings for him now because of this, and they can keep growing as a couple. I'm also very interested to see when the prophecy regarding the two of them will show up again...

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. I'm away on holiday on holiday in Sri Lanka at the moment. I agree. I think now Severus is going to be more confident in his approach to her. If she can trust him with all that she is, surely he can trust her back completely with his heart.

Glad Minerva is taking matters into her own hands. I doubt Molly will listen, but at least she's doing something.
It seems odd to me that after that Howler, Severus didn't make time to comfort her. He's so freaked out about her not styaing with him. He needs to be more attentive. If they are to survive, they need to make time for one another, even if it's only a short time here and there.

I agree. But this is Severus who has no experience in being in a long-term relationship of any nature. So it isn't really surprising that he is sometimes lacking in knowing how to be. I think he's lucky to have someone like Hermione who is so understanding. She's put up with so much insensitivity from the boys, that she doesn't hold his own lack against him.
A howler seriously, what business is it of Ron or Molly Weasley who Hermione falls in love with. Ron is a twit, Hermione is much better off with out him, he was only holding her back.I like Fleur she seems cool.

Very romantic Christmas holiday, Hermione and Severus are very lucky to have found each other and to have had the chance to spend time together in this wonderful place.I can't wait to see how the rest of the charms on the ring are released.

Thank you so much. I think the charms are going to bring them a lot of joy in the future. I agree. They needed a beautiful start to their future together and a Christmas vacation proposal seemed the most fitting.
How ungrateful can two parents be, I was floored by how horrible they were to Hermione. It was wonderful to see Severus set the Grangers straight.I'm so glad Hermione didn't freak out and act hurt when Severus didn't say I love you back. She is so gentle and caring with him, and he really needs it.

Yes, but you've got to understand the parents. They are going on what they believe to be true. Hopefully having Severus give them a piece of his mind will make them think seriously about their stance in the future. As for Hermione, I think she's both smart enough and kind enough to know that Severus is doing the best he can given his level of emotional growth. Besides, even if he doesn't say the words, his actions, his demonstration of trust and his willingness to open his heart to her is enough proof of his feelings. The words will come in time.

Harry and Ron have turned out to be total pigs, it sucks how horribly they have treated Hermione. Ginny is the biggest shock because she always seemed so sweet, I guess war changes people.

I agree. Jumping into bed would not have been a good idea for either of them. He is really hot though. I don't think I would have been as strong as Hermione.

Ooooh a prophecy, I love a good prophecy and this certainly is a good one. I can't wait to see how long it takes Severus to act and how long it takes Hermione to figure it out.
