I found this story on the random search and I am so glad I did. I really enjoyed it. You did a great job bringing a new twist to the Severus/Hermione have a child together scenario. Overall, it was done creatively and you should be very proud of it. Kudos!

This is one of the first SS/HG stories I ever read, and it's one of my all time favorites.  I had originaly  found it on Ashwinder, so I'm happy to see that you have an account here as well. Thank you for sharing such an amazing story with us!

Great story.  I like how you used things in canon and gave us another look at what might have happen.  I also had Little Woman in the background and as I read Severus with a cane I would see Gabriel Byrne with his.    

I enjoyed this story and the heart-warming epilogue.

From Insecure!Severus to Romantic!Severus in one chapter!  Amazing!  ;-)  I'm enjoying this story!

I like that Eileen is a strong woman in this story.  And now the question is... how will Severus respond to Hermione?

I laughed heartily when Severus apparated without Hermione and I cried here at the end because of your last line: " He had wished to leave a legacy, and instead he had lived it."Poignant and perfect. Silly Severus! Thinking he should abandon his family for fear of messing them up. I was about to walk over and smack him upside the head, but luckily Eileen got there first. Oh, and then the fluff, glorious fluff! And where do I sign up for one of Hermione's spots on the back of my neck? It sounds...mmm... delightful. Lovely story, nicely done!

Well she's gone from and pregnant unmarried witch whose child's father is dead, to a pregnant, married witch with a living husband , whoops, she wasn't prepared for that!

Philip Larkin writes, "They fuck you up, your mum and dad,/They may not mean to, but they do," and he's right, but the alternative is so much worse.  Thanks for giving Ben a mum and dad who are at least willing to learn (and Severus gets to learn from a mum who's gone through a few lessons herself).  A very right anniversary gift from the ex-git.  This is sweet!

Oh, I just love that he wants to balance the relationship. I think that shows more than any words he could give that he truly cares for her.

I'm glad he came to his senses in time. This is such a sweet story, the only thing that is missing is a child conceived the normal way Great chapter, looking forward to the epilogue...gab

I am glad that Severus realized he shouldn't be separated from his family. Besides, I'm sure that Hermione will definitely tell Severus if he does something wrong. She's just that sort of person.

good chapter. I'm glad Sev's inner drama queen got slapped down before he could  build up a head of steam. It's all fluffy and sweet  and wrapped up in a pretty pink bow. Now all we need is Hermione's tearful reconcilliation with her folks and all will be well with the world.
