Oh, that was great! I was hoping that Snape might still be alive, since his body had not been found (as you said in ch. 1). They just need to solve the little problem of Snape still loving Lily when he thought he was dying...or maybe you have some other satisfying explanation why he wanted to look at Harry... he must have known that he was marrying her at that moment, so maybe there was more on his side, too... pls keep up updating fast!

this chapter is really great. I like the idea of the mark that disapears after the caster of the spell dies. But if Bill knows that, Snape must have known that tha spell bound him to Hermione with a marriage.and the mark is a great idea because it can tell severus what happens to hermione (like the dark mark could link voldemort and his death eaters)by the way, I love how you developped characterisation for Bill. If you could keep him in the story ...update soon please

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! I have an entire backstory in my head for this fic (basically DH from Hermione/Snape's POV), and Bill plays a huge part in it. He's seen again briefly near the end of this story, but pretty much we focus on what is going on with Hermione and Severus from here on out. I had a great time writing Bill, though. Sometimes I consider writing the backstory as a prequel ... LOL As for the Mark and what Severus does and does not know ... I can't say. ;) But it will be discussed ... I think it's in chapter six, if I recall correctly. Anywa, thanks again! More to come very soon!
Oh fantastic!!! Loved this chapter - you had me setting on the edge of my seat till the very last word. I have so many questions - did Severus know he married her....if he knew how come he wanted to look at Harry instead of her... and what will Severus do about the pregnancy??? OH my what a plot line - please more more chapters. I generally don't get this excited but really what a story - 10 stars if I could give them just for the plot...

It is quite sad that Severus's last thoughts were of Lily rather than Hermione and his future child. Well, at least Hermione and Severus have a lifetime to work out their feelings for each other. I wonder whether Severus knew that he married Hermione with that spell. Will he want to have a life with her? Hopefully we soon find out what happened to Severus after Hermione, Ron, and Harry left the Shrieking Shack.

Oh, goodness! I wonder why Hermione wanted to have Severus's child. Maybe because he is intelligent, a hero, and probably not able to father children in the future? Perhaps Hermione thought of him as something more than a friend. Hopefully Severus's body disappeared because he's recovering somewhere.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you're enjoying the story thus far.Hermione pretty much gives her reasoning (what little there is) here and there is a hint of it in the prologue. She loves him, she wanted to give him the peace of mind of knowing that his magical line would continue as he was certain he would not survive the war. Really, for her, it comes down to love. As for your last sentence ... *whistles innocently* More on that later! :)Thanks, again!

It is a bit different. This story was in response to a prompt, and that was one of the requirements. I agree ... it would be a much nicer way to end DH ... but then almost anything would be. She really didn't do his character justice. Thank you!

Honour a favor and have his child??? Good graceous what a bombshell. Since they cannot find the body, I do hope that if she is pregnant that he comes back to her - it would be sad since a witch is an outcast if she is unmarried and pregnant. More chapters needed

Ouch Harry and Ron must have just loved that last sentance of Hermione's. Am I correct in assuming (I hate to assume anything but.......) that Severus is dead? If so is Hermione pregnant?

Thanks for not making me feel like a total idiot! Today was just one of those days and worried I got stories confused (I read LOTS of fanfiction on several sites, mostly SS/HG). Thankfully you either mastered the art of being polite or I'm not as bad as I thought! LOL
