I am sooo slow! And I thought the first time I read it that he was just woke up being more "angsty" than normal--hits self in head that he saw the mark when she left the room. How I missed it and now I have to wait!!!! I haven't typically pictured Eileen as still being alive but I am enjoying her presence in this fic. Eagerly await the continuation!

I'm so glad you're enjoying Eileen. When I wrote the story, I hadn't intended on her being a big part of the story, but i really grew to like her, so there is a lot more of her to come. Thank you so very much for reading and reviewing! The next chaper should be up Sunday night!
Trust Snape to be so Slytherin, even about something asimportant as this - because I can't believe he wouldn't have known more than Hermione about the spell. So,just what is he up to now?

OMG does Severus think Hermione is married to Harry? I love Eileen, I think she thought Hermione was her grandaughter as opposed to her daughter in law and what a lovely mess things are. I laughed till I cried.

He does not yet know that Harry is there, but ... well,that's all I can say about that for now! ;) I'm so glad you love Eileen -- she was just so much fun to write, and I ended up making her a larger part of the story than I had originally intended. She certainly did think Hermione was her granddaughter! I'm so glad that part made you laugh. I giggled my way through writing it. LOLThank you!!
Okay - now I understand why Severus had his eyes narrowed when she left the room. He saw the mark and knows she is married but I am taking it that he does not know that it is to him - this next chapter should be very interesting indeed.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I'm enjoying this fic. I love that you have brought Eileen into the picture. I've always wanted to know a bit more about her. I have to tell you that I didn't see that cliff hanger comming. Poor Severus, he always jumps to the wrong conclusion.

Another evil cliffy! This is getting to be a habit. I hope you can update again soon,because this has gone beyond interesting and is verging on enthralling. Good work.I hope that's not the last we see of the Grangers though, I'd like to see them back for the grand finale at least.

When I wrote the fic, I meant to include them in the epilogue, but as I was on a deadline, I forgot about them (amongst other things). I take it that Severus saw that tattoo on Hermione's neck and knows that that means she's married. I would also be upset if I found out the woman who's carrying my child up and married someone else so soon without telling me straight away. Severus probably doesn't want to share the child with another man and would be even more upset if he has feelings for Hermione other than friendship. Hopefully Hermione can diffuse the situation easily, though telling Severus that he's her husband might be difficult. Especially since it was her lack of research that made them get married in the first place.Now that Eileen knows that Hermione is not Severus's daughter, I wonder what she thinks about their relationship. Since she might already suspect an intimate relationship, now learning about their marriage might not be quite so much of a shock.

Fantastic story! At first, I was kinda disappointed when I read the prologue as I thought that the two were already in love with each other (they probably were, but you know what I mean!) when that stuff with the spell happened. I generally don't like stories where they're already together and the plot is something other than how the romance comes to be between them. Your story is quite unique because even though they look like they already have feelings for each other, there still seems to be a lot of potential left and things (coughlemonscough) unexplored.

Thank you for updating so fast, it is really good to be able to read a chapter a day.I believe this is the firs time I've read a fic where Eileen Snape is alive: bravo for the original idea.And I hope Severus will not be too harsh with Hermione; he must be frustrated after being injured for so long and he is bound to react negatively to what he would perceive as "pity" (even if Hermione is just worried for him)Update soon please

I liked the whole concept of Severus's mom being alive and nursing him back to health - very interesting chapter. The end of the chapter was shocking where Hermione came to visit him - how did she know he was not dead? More chapters....

I wonder how Hermione found Severus. She will probably now want to help his mum take care of him. I wonder what Eileen will feel about Hermione being pregnant with Severus's child . . . and that they're married. Hopefully Severus will not be too upset when he finds out he's married. I'm sure that would be a shock for anyone.

Here's one I haven't seen before! Severus reunited with his mother--lovely! I like the idea of him being able to confront his childhood that way.

Glad to see Mrs Snape the elder has pulled herself together. Also nice to see Dumbledore making provisions for his hard working pawn. I think this is one interesting reunion coming up. Can't wait for the next chapter!

I love the way you brought Eileen into the story and how nice that you have her away from her abusive husband. It's a shame more women don't follow that advice.
