*glee*I loved what you read at Portus, so I wandered over to read the rest. :-)I adore how you depicted Dumbledore. He is a manipulative bastard, no matter how twinkly! And his whole idea about the "greater good" hasn't changed all that much since Grindelwald. He still thinks he has all the answers.

Hi!I normally don't read stories that aren't completed, I forgot to check if your was finished when I started reading, by the time I realized I was already hooked. I come here about 3 times a day to check for updates.Please put me out of my misery... and Hermione too...

This has been highly recommended fic- and I can see why! Excellent writing and gripping start. Hermione's reaction to Dumbledore's suggestion will be interesting. I'm assuming that things won't be as unchanged as Dumbledore has said.

Gut wrenching ending!! You owe me a box of kleenex, you know! ;)Seriously, I laughed so hard at Snape making a 'spectacle' of McGonagall...that was priceless!And having Dobby take him to Malfoy Manor dungeons was excellently written. (is excellently a word?)Another fabulous chapter!!

You know, there are parts of that book that can make me cry just thinking about them. Parts I loved as much as I loved any moment in the series, but I know, overall why people get so upset with it. Right now, to be honest, I am just so tired of it that it's hard to see it clearly. I shut the book the other day and said, may that be the last time I open this book for at least a year--because for me there's always something to check, something to reread as I'm working on SL. I hope you do read it, and that you enjoy it. *hugs*

lariope, you should receive an award for this chapter alone.It leaves me breathles.I think I feared this part the most. and you made it brilliant.I'm glad, you skipped and therefore spared us this Crabbe-Goyle-Malfoy scene and the mess they are creating in that room(which means the malfoys stay on the dark side, and no mysterious loitering on their behalf, but maybe better and easier to accept that way round). instead you use it to make the bigges revellation in Harrys and Rons lifes. And they behave! hey, I'm positively surprised! And they run to help her. They understand her!! more surprise. And relieve. she needs them desperately.what was that with Luna, I didn't quite understand. she shall tell everybody? And then the scene in the shack. all so natural. she couldn't help but break the vial and give him the potion.and all he can do is run out and sulk. Oh you greasy old git, grumpy old man. you trusted her. You of all men should know, that women are not to be trusted *smirk*how is this supposed to end. can't awayt the next chapter.salva

The last scene reminds me of some sort of cursed lovers who are sharing their last moment together before being separated for ever. It's very sad but so beautiful in the same time, because the only thing they have left is hope. Hope that something might save them from that terrible fate. I'm hoping too. Very hard.

What a chapter!!!!! The fight scene where she goes through everything - I think she would have killed Voldemort to get to Severus and now he lives but has left - how tragic. She loves him so much this will destroy her. I am dying for more...

Can I just say,This chapter had my heart beating faster and my muscles tenser and my eyes wider and nearer to tears than the climax of DH... by FAR.I've read this through in a couple of weeks (I sincerly apologize for not commenting before now) and it is simply genius. I have only read two or three fanfictions that have attempted this sort of story (one that elaborates on an imagined subplot of one of the books), and all of them have fallen flat but this.I genuinly feel like I am reading a real Harry Potter book - something I have NEVER felt before when reading fanfiction. You deserve many accolades for that feat alone.I feel unoffended by all your changes and, indeed, think many of them are quite brilliant.You're characters aren't just canon... they ARE the characters. I feel like I can't properly describe how beleivable they are. And Snape's reaction to being brought back to life? I can't call it anything but true.Simply genius.For some reason I thought this story was completed already... I await your next chapter with bated breath. What on earth am I going to do after work until then?

Aw, I hope when Snape DOES come to bring the sword, he manages to see Hermione. I recall being furious with Ron in that part of DH.I love how all the pieces are coming together, and how Snape and Hermione put them together at different times and stages. Your Dumbledore is spot-on!

I cannot believe how incredibly good this story truly is. I nearly cried at that last section, Snape looking at that picture, laughing until he cried. He loves her. I hope that your title is more than reference to the potion intended for Harry, that Snape gets a second chance too.

Clever Harry. Maybe he won't be that enthousiast when he'll discover who it is helping them. I just wish to inform you that you manage to bring tears in my eyes when Severus whispered to Dobby's grave. That was incredibly sensitive and very emotional.
