Beautiful.  Makes me feel very sorry for Ron.  Of course Ron's leaving makes sense this way.

It is sad that neither of them know if they'll see each other again.  I love this story.  I think maybe this is the third time I'm reading it.  I have no idea if I reviewed it before.  Perhaps I should look at my old reviews.  LOL.  Sometimes if I find a story I really love I will read it more than once.  I can't ever quite remember how it will turn out.

wow, so glad they got out of that!  I'm also glad Snape didn't have to wait to find out if Hermione was okay.

sometimes I am left speechless.  I can't come up with words for a response.  There are so many details.  I feel so sad for Severus.  He has had such a miserable life, no life at all, really, up to this point.  He can't even imagine a life for himself.  Hermione may be able to make it right eventually, though.

Oh how I hate this part in the tale.  It always hurts.  It hurts that Snape HAS to do this.  I knew what was going on when I read books six.  I was quite sure it was all planned by Dumbledore.  I remember people around me saying Snape was just pure evil but I always ignored that.  I think this part in JKR's story upset me more than what happens to Snape in Book 7.

Amazing.  I love the intensity of this relationship.  Snape has never had anyone until this point.  It had to be a Gryffindor because there tends to be little pretense about them.  Hermione is open and her caring is honest.  It is nothing more or less than her true feelings.  Nobody has ever given this to Snape before.  Is it any wonder he's snarky and grumpy and mean sometimes?

How sad that nobody ever showed Snape they care.  Nobody every betrayed Potter for his sake.  I'm so glad Hermione is doing these things now.

Excellent.  Poor Snape, he should be able to enjoy SOMETHING in life.  It's just awful that he has to constantly stop himself.  UGH.

poor Snape.  He's a mess.  If he'd just take Hermione at face value...well, she can be sneaky when she wants to be but mostly I don't think she wants to be she wants him to be safe.

Too funny that Lavender popped in at just the right moment.  I think she's really the right one for Ron.  She always has been.  In the books the Ron and Hermione thing never made sense.  It seems a rather pathetic existence for someone so brilliant.  She'd need someone academically minded.

ohh, dear.  What a mess.  It was so beautiful then Snape had to go back to Mr. Snarky.  I expect it will be more difficult before it becomes easy.  That's going to be a great ride!

LOL.  Miss Granger.  Sounds sooo odd in this moment.  Excellent.

I think I have read this before.  I knew I'd read something of yours in the past and I liked it.  I expect I'll read this whole story again.  You write very well and your stories are wonderful.  I added you as a favorite author. 

This was simply a WONDERFUL story.  I loved how you took the books and used the real sotry to give a framework to Severus and Hermione's romance.  It was masterfully done, especially how Sev and Hermione were so in character. I can only imagine how much time this took!

Thank you for letting them have this one rare moment.  And thank you for letting him kiss her in the stairwell.  I was so afraid he would turn her down.  I wanted to slap Dumbledore for all of his manipulations--for acting like Harry was the only one that counted.  I almost got the feeling that he was saying good-bye to his memories of Lily.  I think he knows that Hermione loves him for himself.  Great chapter.

And here I was worried that Hermione would do something to make Severus' ring show up while he was at the party.  I forgot about her ring.  You did an excellent job of describing the party at the Malfoy's.  I could almost see what was happening.  I also got a really good sense of why Severus joined the Death Eaters.  All of that power can be intoxicating and addictive.  Great chapter.

I knew Severus was going to sense that Hermione was there.  I hate that he got so angry with her but he's right.  I know she loves him but it's necessary that she hide her feelings right now--I think.  I could see her lovingly touching his book.  At least he has his book back now.  Great chapter.

I hope Snape doesn't go off and be all jealous of Ron now.  It was good of him to call Hermione because Ron was injured.  The classroom scene in Defense was interesting.  Hermione was almost playful, as she and Snape chased each other around the room.  I chuckled when she stupefied him and took his wand.  Great chapter.
