Great chapter.  I loved "I'm so fucking busted."  :)

Love the oblique reference to Draco's task in DH. I wonder if Snape is really trying to get Draco to take advantage of his opportunities, or if he's just trying to take advantage of Draco's self-interest to help Hermione... I know you said this wasn't supposed to be about Snape, but I can't help it, he's an interesting character even when he's playing a bit part!

I love how off-balance Severus' reprimand and orders put Draco.  And how sure he was that Snape, like Crookshanks, had seen through his spell.  I think his mantra of 'deny, deny, deny' probably slowed his comprehension of what Severus was actually saying.

This was a great chapter.  ^_^

I wondered about the date at the beginning though, since it's earlier than the date on the previous chapter...

this story about snape's wife is interesting in the extreme, but I think my favorite bit is when snape says "don't be such a lightweight!"  perfect.

wha...?  you can't abandon this story now!!!  not when I've just discovered it here (with aproximately 15 more chapters than are posted on mugglenetff)!  the only reason I read these non-canon pairings is to see if the author can get the characters together in a believable and interesting way!  with only the beginning, that's just...arrrrgg!!!!!  i want to see how you resolve the angst!  and I want to know what harry did to snape's wife!  and and and what is going to happen to everyone and everything and...you've made all these problems, please solve them before I explode!

and just by the way, draco is deeefinitely "tweaked" in this chapter.  good grief.

I love this story! Your Draco and Hermione are adorable together, and I love how you've worked Snape into the mix. DHr and good writing are a rare combo, and I enjoyed the treat.

How can you stop there, you tease?!?You have such a nice feel for descriptive details, like the sense that he needs to hold his face on, and the one eye that won't quite reopen. A successful mix of humor with building the anticipation!Please, please, update again soon.
