Reviews for The Love You Take
What, no Ringo? Richard Starkey is going to feel so slighted! It's unlikely that there is any Prince family extant, or that they have two Sickles to rub together, but it's a nice gesture towards the Master.
Absolutely awesome!!!! Keep those chappies coming! :-) I look forward to reading more!
Can't think of anything creative to say so I'll settle for the old "Good job" and "keep'em coming".
Well, quite a bit is fit into this chapter -- interesting new characters and setting, arcane magical lore (I was wondering when that Nexus would factor in), oh yes, and some incredible sex. I guess it's disconcerting when a PWP develops a mind of its own but I'm glad this one did, for my own selfish reasons!
I don't know which one of them has the worse temper, but the fireworks are fun to watch.
Brilliant chapter. Excellent plot direction, so good to find out more about Snape. Loved Hermiones little jealous moments.
Can't wait for more.
Superb chapter. You have deftly changed direction and added a hefty slice of plot without sacrificing the steamy nature of the piece.*applauds wildly*
Wow. Another powerhouse chapter. I'm glad the Morgen/boys argument wasn't settled in anyone's favor, just for Hermione's sake. Blasted men and their wick dipping! LOL.
Excellent, excellent chapter. I am looking forward to the next. Kudos also to your betas for getting such a long chapter out so quickly.
A great update, I do so love your story!!!
Oh, another chapter! And they are falling in love - sad as both of them so often feel. Thank you for bringing them both alive.
awwww a Christmas gift for Severus. I think Hermione is getting feelings above and beyound the curse.
Hermione really does hate him sometimes, but then again, love and hate are a really close thing.
Yet again, another well written chapter, full of emotion and made me feel all fluffy inside.
This was so wonderfully, dare I say it?, romantic! I know theirs is not a relationship built on romance, but wow, this chapter was!
Response from Subversa (Author of The Love You Take)
It seems to be slipping sideways into romance, in spite of how it began. With different people, it would not - could not! - happen, but these two ... Well, you know how I feel about SSHG. Thanks, doll!
I'm not very good with words so I just going to say it plainly. Great chapter, well written.
Response from Subversa (Author of The Love You Take)
Plain words work for me, my dear. Thank you for the compliment and for taking the time to leave a message.
Wow, Severus just had to jump to the worst possible conclusion! Though ... since apparently the mistletoe was up that tree, and they ended up kissing under it (among other things), looks like they might end up experiencing some added effects! I smiled sappily when Hermione explained what she really wanted it for. Excellent! I love how you've shown the shifts in their emotions and attitudes here.

Hi, doll! It's so good to hear from you. I'm glad you like the slow shifting of attitudes and development of emotions. I love sappy smiles!
I really like how your Hermione has every bit of her spirit and sass even though she's a total freaky nympho where Snape is concerned *hee*. She stands her ground and always gives as good as the cranky git gets.
Response from Subversa (Author of The Love You Take)
I'm glad you like my Hermione - I don't think Snape could respect her if she didn't fight back when he's an arse! thanks for the note, my dear!
ah cliffhanger!
Ah, that's so sweet...my kind of Christmas story!
Response from Subversa (Author of The Love You Take)
Thanks, Karen - more of Christmas in the next chapter!
From the first, this has been beautiful. The emotion linked with sex linked with angst -- just pure perfection. I can't even imagine how it will end, or how sad I will be when it does!
Response from Subversa (Author of The Love You Take)
Ah, Mia, thank you for the lovely words. I will be sad when it is over, as well - I always have a hard time saying good bye to my Severuses!
Wonderful! You have an unique gift for emotion. I can't say exactly how you do it, but you always manage to melt my heart (and that's not easy, believe me).The details are nice too - Hermione cutting down on clothes in order to buy more books - that must have resonated with Snape. Both of them are moving beyond the compulsion, but while Hermione is already conscious of it, Snape is just wondering dimly that he could perform more than the Potency Potion theoretically allowed him.
Response from Subversa (Author of The Love You Take)
If I have a niche in writing, I do think it is in conveying emotion. Thanks for saying so!I see Severus as a man who finds it difficult to accept that anyone could like him for himself, which makes him even more bull-headed than your average man.
Awww...that's really sweet of Hermione. Even if she does actually hate him—and it appears to not just be gratitude that he helped her.
Response from Subversa (Author of The Love You Take)
It may just be me, but I think "hating" the man in your life is part and parcel of the whole package. I see Hermione as the kind of girl who will be thoughtful and observant of the needs of the people around her. Thanks so much for the note!
Response from cmwinters (Reviewer)
Well, yeah, but I think she really probably does hate him sometimes, because he is going out of his way to make her on some occasions. And yes, I agree that Hermione *would* be thoughtful and observant of htose around her. Especially in this case, Severus gets raging migraines and still takes care of her; Hermione would *absolutely* think that even if he were being a completely insufferable bastard all the time that if she knew a way to cure him she would.
Great chapter! This story just keeps getting more interesting and I can't get enough of it :D I'm really looking foward to the next update! Thanks, ickles.
Response from Subversa (Author of The Love You Take)
Ickles, thank you for leaving a note. I'm so pleased to know you're finding interesting. You made me smile.
The longing and intensity are beautiful and angsty at the same time. I miss having that kind of passion in my life - so I'm content to find it in this fantastic piece of writing! I'm looking forward to more :-)
Response from Subversa (Author of The Love You Take)
Thank you, Maria. I'm so pleased that you enjoy reading the story and that it helps to fill a yearning. More to come soon.
