I love Hooch, but Hermione's in for a rough time.Excellent chapter. The line about Hermione's actions supporting the lines hit me right in the gut.

Oh my God. See, this is what breaks my heart in fanfiction. When they don't trust Severus. When Dumbledore goes that far with her. God. Awful. But consider it a compliment that these sorts of emotions are even evoked. Moving on to the next chapter.

Oh, Severus. My heart is breaking for him. This was an exquisite chapter. You captured his agony and self-destruction well.

OK, back to my room after work. Quite honestly I'm done with all my work, but I'm in a reading group that I've been putting off the reading for...This is much more interesting. And his tenderness with her - even though he wouldn't call it - is just... well, it was really beautiful with them here. From hot to sweet to bittersweet - it's a tough transition but you nailed it.

Oh Hermione, Draco is playing games with you! *shuts eyes tightly*And Severus' desire is practically knocking me off my feet. Damn, woman, it is intense!

So much to love here. And Hermione concocting her own backstory - sneaky. Very sneaky. Delightful, as well. Her parents were fabulous.And this:Her mother looked at her, her expression almost pitying. She closed the distance between them and stroked Hermione's cheek. "Darling, are you trying to delude yourself or me? You'd have to be blind not to see it. Oh, I'm sure he wouldn't attract most silly young girls, but a woman sees these things. The man radiates power. He practically reeks of sensuality. And his eyes – " Her mother laughed. "Well, they go beyond undressing you. He seems as if he could peer right into your soul."Hermione felt a twinge of anger. Had Professor Snape used Legilimens on her mother? She'd kill him.Well, fuck me twice. Fantastic!

OK, where do I start on my favorite lines? "Bite my arse" or the last bit with "swear to it" - oh my God, I was expecting to cry - or the Bonding gifts (brilliant!) - or how much can I possibly thank you for not having them get pregnant right away? Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Guh....guh.Really, that's all there is to say after that kiss.
