Wow.  Hermione was MAGNIFICENT here.  Truly living up to her rep as most clever, yatta yatta of her age and all that.  Outwitting, outsmarting and outlasting even ol' Dumbls.  (you go girl!!!!) I thought Severus was gonna pirate-kidnap her right out of the Great Hall at the dinner, but her fake swooning spell did the trick.  Utterly delish chappie to a lovely story in every way.  Knowing that Hermione's an even harder grader than her husband's icing on that particular cake.  If Hooch can't see or admire the complete perfection of Mr and Mrs Snape, she must've had too many bludgers to the head to see the perfectly obvious.

ooooh! I thought the vows were a bit of a red herring, and I wasn't completely wrong. More like a McGuffin than a red herring. I love her theroy, what an interesting thought on kissing.  I wonder if Severus will flip on that idea.

He says "romantic" like it's a gooey, icky thing, and like it's a choice, and that there are better, more sensible choices available.  She says it like it's just what is.  And what a marvelous notion that is.

You write long, intricate conversations so exquisitely well.  And I am so glad that "Hogwarts: A History" is good for something, even if it's just to give Hermione an interminable shaggy dog story to tell before standing up to his "this is all about me" attitude.

I want Hallowe'en to come at once, yet at this rate, the waiting is such exquisite agony.  Prolong it as long as you are able.  Just post the agony regularly.
