Seventh-year student Hermione Granger decides to marry the one eligible wizard who did not ask for her--the horrid but powerful Severus Snape. All is not sweetness and light. Be careful what you ask for. Or, as has been said by many a wise witch, "Marry in haste; repent in leisure." MLC

BEST AUTHOR, Moste Potente Potions
http://community.livejournal.com/sshg_awards/33422.html
Care of Magical Creatures recently received two awards on "Secrets of the Dark Vaults," a Russian fanfic site. Best NC-17 and Best Maxi Translation. The Nine-Year Plan was awarded Best Mini-Fic! I'm delighted to be in translation and to please the readers in Russia!

With the completion of Care of Magical Creatures my fanfic output is going to slow way down, but if you want to be sure to know when new fics post, please follow me on twitter. I don't tweet much, but I'll surely tweet that kind of thing.
About Mia
I came to the world of Harry Potter relatively early, after first resisting it because it just seemed too trendy. But when the first book came out in paperback in the US I picked it up at the airport when I was about to catch a flight, and two chapters in knew I would be ordering the original from amazon.co.uk in hardcover as soon as I landed.
I came to fanfic late, waiting until after I'd read DH. That means I've been totally obsessed with the fanfic world of Harry Potter, and most specifically the SS/HG ship, since August of '07.
I'm helplessly and hopelessly hooked.
Reviews for Care of Magical Creatures
Well he always does seem to know what to say to cut someone to the core. This time - he cut Hermione and now he will have to deal with what he has done. More twists and turns for the couple - good chapter

Thank you!
He really is an idiot. I feel sorry for both of them.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
What? You're not still hoping for a happy ending?
Response from blue artemis (Reviewer)
I thought that was a given. I'm still hoping for a happy ending. But he is still being an idiot.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
Indeed.
He had better remember that. NO one's filthy innuendo can truly harm him because Hermione is a W.O.M.A.N. No mere girl would have the balls to do what she did, and still does so well, dammit. Only a Real Woman would have the guts, the sheer ballsy nerve, to be Madam Snape.
She left, not because she quailed but because there's no reasoning with a drunk. And yes, I want her to hex Bella very badly. Wandless.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
Yes, Bella needs to go down. And not in a good way.
Oh hell. Oh Frak. good thing Hermione's having those lessons w/Hooch. Maybe what they need to do is fake her death. Draught of Living Death or something. Oh no.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
Things could get grim, couldn't they?
You know... the only reason I keep from reading this before is because it's a WIP. After too many of them being unfinished, I simply wouldn't read any WIP until it's completed.
But then, quite recently I've been keeping up with lots of other WIPs under the season of Potter Place Post DH challenge so I thought what another WIP could do to me when I'm reading several others myself? And I know this one has been recommended many times before so it must be very well-written. And now, I just can't stop reading since Chapter 1! And I'm at the office now and I have lots of things to do, but I can't seem to put my mind to them *because* I want to keep reading this!!!
This. Is. So. Frustrating.
Thought you want to know... :(
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
I'm sorry to frustrate you, even though I'm thrilled. (Thanks for making my day!)
Other girls would whine and pout, but Hermione researches. And it's getting harder and harder for Severus to rationalize his obvious feelings for her away.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
Yes, and when she researches, she RESEARCHES. LOL!
Lucius can do his worst, but S/H already know how things truly stand with each other. Bah.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
Thank you! I'm glad you see that, too!
What an opening!
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
Glad you liked it! Thank you!
Whoa! Awesome!
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
Again, thank you!
Excellent!
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
I'm glad you liked it!
Damn it! Just what I needed, to get sucked into another epic. Well, when I'm grumpy in work tomorrow morning it'll be your fault for creating such an interesting, well written fic. Bugger! ;)
Seriously, this is fantastic! I am rivetted. And Sev's laundry method has definate appeal. I can understand him being reluctant to leave bits of himself lying around for enemies to pick up.
I'll be back!
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
Thank you! I'm so happy (squee!) that you like it so much, though I hope your work day went okay...!
Vows and ceremonies and all that crap can go hang, really, as their bodies say and declare all that really needs to be said.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
Ah, thank you. I love your reaction.
Oh dear.
Oh, Hermione.
Oh, everything. Severus is just so unhappy! Bella came at the exact wrong time in Hermione and Severus' relationship. And poor Hermione! She doesn't understand what's going on! I dunno. . . at least he realized that she was a woman, not a student he was bedding.
I just loathe that Pendragon Parkinson! The gall of him! To ask him to take a thirteen-year old girl into his bed! I. . . the unspeakableness of it! Oh! I am at a loss!
I'm also at a loss to describe what a wonderful writer you are. You can make me feel things I rarely am passionate to feel myself, and you manage to make that passion arise, in your writing and in me!
That is just amazing, and wonderful.

Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
Thank you so much for your passionate review!
I'm so pleased to have inspired it!
Oh my, pathos! Too much pathos! Drowning...
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
Yes, I know! ::wibble::
The thought of Percy-prat's office getting bombarded with Howlers is a delightful idea!!
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
I'd love to see it, myself.
Call me a romantic fool, but the power of their love is surely greater than any foul breathings of a Dork Lord.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
Thank you! :)
For crying out loud. However is Severus gonna patch things up with her now.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
He's got his work cut out for him, doesn't he?
Well, Severus certainly stuck his foot in the mud this chapter. Somehow I see a enraged little bookworm giving him a verbal castration in his near future.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
You'd think so, wouldn't you?
If any two ever were more deserving of sexual completion , it's these two. But Hades! here we go--another roadblock.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
Yes, I was as relieved as they were!
ooooH! *squeee* That was a very sexy, if evil, cliffie. She's the cauldron! w00t!! (and I'll shove her aside if she's not happy about that!)
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
I would love to be his cauldron. Mrrreow.
Oh God can things get any worse for Severus? Oh yeah that is right he is supposed to kill his wife. A wife that he loves even if he has not realized it yet. The only things is if this keeps up her spirit will be dead long before the poison would kill her corpreal body. I hope that things turn around soon! Well done! Irish
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
You know, when you put it that way.... yeah, things can get worse, can't they?
Thanks!
I never thought about Severus being hurt. He always seems so invincible. And seing him so vulnerable ... I almost ache for him. This is so well done since the beginning.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
Oh, I think he's a quivering mass of wounded soul that has a very thick shell to protect himself.
Oh dear. And things already seemed to be getting better in the previous chapter... Poor Severus. Poor Hermione!
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Care of Magical Creatures)
Alas, they don't seem to catch a break.
